Only a few hundred yards from the Black warrior River on Lock 9 Road in Fosters Alabama. 20 minutes from Tuscaloosa, but Hours away from the Rat Race Peace, is hearing crickets at night, the whippoorwill, and yes actual Bald Eagles live nearby "Silence is the sound time makes as it Passes", is very true here. Also on the property is a 175 year old log cabin being restored from the first settlers to come to here

Absolutely loved staying at Barden's place. He made me feel right at home and all the amenities are so comfortable. His home is beautiful and I love the sense of history that it evokes. It was a great place to get lost in nature, and feel the stillness of rural life. Barden is a consummate host, and gave me great recommendations of things to do and hotspots in the area. I cannot recommend Barden's place enough. It was just what I needed...

Everhope is a beautiful place to stay, tastefully decorated, immaculate, and serene. Instantly felt like home. Spacious room, and a gorgeous four poster bed. The grounds were beautiful as well. Enjoyed my morning coffee, listening to the birds while sitting on the front porch.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay this weekend. The host was friendly and very responsive to my messages. It was a nice little get away with No WiFi or TV. Just me and the hubby. Would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting peace and quiet. We will definitely come back when we are in town again for another Alabama game. ROLL TIDE!!

We enjoyed our stay at Everhope! We came in late and left early, but wished we had time to look around the grounds more. It is a beautiful property and the common areas downstairs had lots of cool mementos to look through and check out. Our room and the shared bathroom were both clean, and check in was super easy.

Really beautiful historic estate! The guest house was just what we needed for an overnight stay. Barden and Amanda are lovely people, and made us feel welcome even before we arrived! The room was clean, cozy and we enjoyed the touches of history left as a part of the space, while still having modern essentials. We took advantage of the great patio attached to the guest house, and watched the fireflies light up the trees. So relaxing. We had a wonderful stay!
