Great Stay in Fumba Town We stayed at this apartment for 6 days as part of our vacation and we enjoyed the stay. It’s a great apartment within a secure compound, it was good for us as we had kids so on days that we were resting from excursions, kids spent time at the swimming pool. Some four restaurants around the compound hence easy to access food in days that we did not want to make food. Finally it was close to Stone Town, just like 15mins to 20mins drive and other places for Blue Safari etc. The host was great and so responsive and helpful. Always reaching out to us to support. We really felt at home. We stayed there during Dec 2024 to Jan 2025

The place was amazing, the host was awesome and the view of the stream and hill was fantastic. The place was easily accessible with ample parking. Planning to visit again.

We had a great stay at this Airbnb! The host was really nice, quick to respond & understanding. The place is beautiful with an amazing view, and the location is perfect. I would recommend this airbnb to anyone coming to Mombasa!

Brenda and Ire's place is a true home, not an apartment that is only rented out. Lots of quirky decor, very colourful, we loved it (family with two teenage daughters). The girls could just walk around by themselves in town, it is all very friendly. Comfy beds and shower. The rooms were a bit hot in January, but manageable with the extra fans provided. Ire, Omar and Salum were very helpful and kind. Brenda wasn't around, but provided timely and extensive communication ahead of our stay. We have been coming to Stone town since 1994; and even with the mass tourism now firmly established on Unguja, Stone town somehow manages to keep its own spirit and this place reflects that spirit. Great stay, we were very happy to come here.

Our stay was stress free and Jess’s team was very responsive. The property is beautiful as is the view. Would recommend this stay for larger groups since it’s a fairly large house. All in all, we had an amazing time

We had a wonderful stay at Cowshed! The place is spacious, cozy and clean, and the staff is super nice and helpful. The area outside is very nice to have drinks and dinner by the fireplace. We even had zebras who came in the yard while we were eating. Wonderful and relaxing place.

My visiting brother's family stayed in Kilimandege House while our family took nearby Otter Cottage - this is their review (which I fully endorse). We had a wonderful stay in Kilimandege house. The house and garden were beautifully maintained and very comfortable with lots of books to read, blankets for the evenings and binoculars to use. The garden was gorgeous and sloped down to the lake which you could walk around and spot lots of wildlife. We saw hippos at night - even a mother with her two week old calf! Eric and Jacob, the night guards ensured that we were safe to go from the house to our car after dark. Millie, the housekeep kept the house v clean - beds made, washing up done and fresh water provided and was very helpful with local knowledge. Do prearrange a cook if needed as they get booked up. The bird sanctuary next door was an added bonus to our trip. We had a really restful, peaceful stay.

My wife, I and our three children had a great holiday here. The house is located in a picturesque village surrounded by coconut palms. One of the most beautiful beaches in Kenya is about a 10-minute drive away. We had our own car, so it was not difficult for us to get there, but if you do not have transport, you can always use a tuk-tuk or a motorbike taxi. The beach is beautiful! Next to the house is an ocean bay with mangrove trees. We were very pleased that the house has two excellent SUP boards! At high tide you can ride them through the mangrove forest and it is very, very beautiful! But take shoes with you because there are sharp shells at the bottom. Nice people work in the house. Chef Joseph cooked well and was very kind. Thank him very much! We were lucky with the weather, it was not stuffy at all, so we never used the fans at night. Thanks to the owner of the house Tom and his team for good memories!

We had a very enjoyable week in this rustic and peaceful retreat. Eating meals served beach side by the chef was a highlight. The staff is very friendly, trustworthy and responsive. Umari cooked fantastic meals for us every day and Ali arranged all our transportation as well as some truly memorable excursions. The sunset kayak trip through the mangrove forest, guided tour of Stone Town, and dolphin excursions are all once in a lifetime experiences and strongly recommended. The beach directly in front of the house is all yours, except for some happy local kids enjoying the water - there are no other tourists. If you want an authentic experience away from the sounds of modern life and tourist crowds, this is the place for you!

Had a great stay! This place is so aesthetic and well kept, that one feels so relaxed and happy. Lilian is kind and helpful. The staff are responsive and keep the place very well, we got a turn down service everyday. The location is great too. We had some minor plumbing issues and they were sorted very promptly.

Dolphin House is a truly unique place and experience. The position directly on the beach is priceless - I could never get sick of the view! There's a good balance of home comforts and the privacy of the house with still feeling connected with the outside, the community and just generally being in Zanzibar. We spent all of our time in the outside space - rotating between the sofas, the loungers on the beach, the table and the pool. It's incredibly well thought out and comfy! Rudy and his local team were always on hand. The chefs, in particular, are exceptional - while you are handy for plenty of restaurants and bars, we enjoyed every breakfast and most of our dinners at the villa. When you have the best spot on the beach, there was very little reason to leave!

Beautiful and secluded home with immediate access to the beach and activities. Would definitely stay again.

Very quiet, peaceful, private. Pool is shared but very rarely used by just 5(?) other apartments. Ocean with sandy beach just a few meters away. Ocean view from this ground floor apartment is partly blocked by wall but still visible. Kitchen better equipped than most places, Hostess is eager to be helpful.

I hight recommend,if any one wants a peaceful place to chill and relax.

this airbnb was fantastic, the location is great and has secure beach access at the end of the road. the salt water pool was lovely to relax at and take a dip, it is shared with 6 or so units, but was very rarely used and quiet. Miguel and his staff were very quick and easy to communicate with. the unit itself is quite new, clean, and the AC are very nice and bed is comfortable. when checking in, one thing to note would be to enter the gates at the address indicated, and the apartment is immediately on the right when entering. this is not very clear as there are villas down the long driveway with the same unit numbers. ask the security for "sandcastle" units. we also rented a car in diani and there is nice shaded parking space which is very nice and secure. lastly, you need to ensure the patio doors are LOCKED at all times, the monkeys will open them if not, they are very cheeky! would rent this unit again definitely.

Loved my stay at Namastani Diani! I don't think I've been more comfortable in the tropics. Fred, the caretaker, is the best! So very kind and genuine. The free breakfast with fresh coffee on the veranda every morning followed by a dip in the jacuzzi and walk on the beach were just what this tired traveler needed. I can recommend it to anyone.

The staff was the best part of the stay. They were amazing, especially Dan. The property is next to the beach and in the middle of a village. Seeing the African culture and way of living mixed with paradisiac views…was riveting. Several descent restaurants in the area as well. Will definitely book again.

What an amazing oasis in Watamu! This gorgeous condo complex is tucked away at the northern edge of town. There are a series of round buildings, each hosting two to three individual units on stunning and lush grounds. The communal area with beach front, pool (s) and greenspace is 5-star. The condo itself is an unusual circle shape, but the custom decor provides ample sitting and living areas. The individual bedrooms are nicely appointed and each have their own bath and air conditioning. This unit is at the back of the complex, but only a few steps to the pool. Your host France- is delightful. We had to adjust our timing last minute and she was incredibly accommodating. She is also VERY responsive and touched base with us daily offering advice and help with anything we needed. There are many stairs- so beware with your children. It might be too much.

I had a wonderful stay at Marie's apartment! The apartment was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. The pool was a great place to relax and cool off, and the beach was just a few minutes walk away. Marie was a very helpful and responsive host. Overall, I was very impressed with Marie apartment. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Mombasa.
