Cottage vacation rentals in Grass Lake Township

We loved this cabin. Real kayaks to use and are easy to access. The yard is amazing, neighbors are nice and gave us tips about the lake. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. The house itself is incredibly clean and cozy, and has all the things you need. I read some previous reviews about the water; I can see why it’s surprising to people who have only had city water, but I think it’s pretty typical well water and is fine to use and drink. The owner also provided bottled water.

Very nice cabin in a quiet area on a small lake. Sherry was very friendly and responsive to our requests. This was the perfect "home away from home" for our little swimming adventure. we'll come back next year if we can.

Thank you so much for your beautiful cottage! Our family loved it. The area is so pretty-breathtaking really. The cottage is beautifully renovated and adorable. We were not able to go boating this trip, but we definitely hope to be back and to go out on the pontoon boat. There's so much more hiking we would love to do, but our family came to town to visit relatives, and celebrate our dad's 90th birthday, so our time here was focused on that. We were so glad that it was a mere 10 minutes to get to Chelsea and the assisted living where he is staying. Thank you also for the thoughtful welcome gifts! A Wonderful Experience at Cozy Hosting! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cozy Hosting, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The property is located right on the water, offering great views that made our stay even more enjoyable. The home was exactly as described—spacious, clean, and well-appointed. It had everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to cozy linens, making us feel right at home. I loved spending our mornings with coffee on the deck, soaking in the beautiful scenery. The water was clear, and the deck was even better than described. My wife and kids all felt at home and thoroughly enjoyed our week. Wonderful hosts!! Perfect location for access to tranquility of the lake, hustle and bustle of Ann Arbor, and an easy drive to Frakenmuth for the holiday store! The cottage was cozy and perfect for our family with a 2 and 4 year old. The hosts had toys and books to entertain our littles and the space was perfect for us to simply relax as a family. The hosts also went out of there way to offer toddler amenities so we didn’t have to bring extra since they have toddlers as well! In addition, the water filter system broke before we got there and they provided water for our family! Absolutely wonderful hosts and I would highly recommend them to anyone. We will definitely look into staying there again if we find ourselves in the area!

Julie's place was perfect for a fall break getaway with my husband. The cottage was well furnished, super clean, and very comfortable. I hadn't realized from the photos just how close the lake is to the house! We spent a lot of time sitting out on the back porch enjoying the amazing view of the lake. We also appreciated the proximity to Ann Arbor for restaurants and all of the wonderful parks in the area for biking and walking. We'd definitely go back!

We had the most amazing time at Will’s home. It’s exactly as described. The home is so cozy and has everything you could ever need. We cooked in and went to a few of his recommended restaurants. Will was extremely responsive from booking to departure. We hope to stay again. Perfect location and the hot tub and deck are fabulous!

Tom is a super friendly host with a lovely home. We really enjoyed the views from the cabin and the deck amenities (hot tub, string lights, grill). The porch right inside had a great sitting area and view of the lake during the day. This was also very close to a number of things, including Ann Arbor, which was really convenient.

Eddie greeted us warmly and showed us how the house worked. I was there for a dog show it was absolutely perfect for that! Everything we needed was right there and it felt a very safe comfortable dog friendly area!

We opened the fridge to find bubbly waiting for us (are we royalty now?), and there were chocolates on the counter like they somehow knew our love language. As if that wasn’t enough, we spent an unforgettable evening soaking in the hot tub while it snowed, overlooking the most serene lake view we’ve ever seen. It was like being in a Hallmark movie but without the small-town drama. Every detail was so thoughtful, from the cozy blankets to the recommendations that made us feel like locals. This wasn’t just a stay; it was an experience we’ll be talking about for years. If you’re considering booking, do it. Just don’t book the weekend we want to come back, okay?

I had a very relaxing time here. My inquiry was responded to very quickly. I booked roughly 2 hrs before check in. Same day booking. I had no problems at all. The home is set up for guests. From nightlights in the bathroom and hallway to their coffee stand with different coffees, syrups, tea,etc. They even noticed I had a hard time lifting the hot tub top and sent someone over to help. I didn’t even have to ask. I don’t always feel at home some place new but I felt so comfortable and at home there. The owners are very kind and hospitable. I plan on returning for sure

The cabin was exactly as described. There were only 3 of us in our group, and we had plenty of space to move around. The kitchen area had everything we needed. Our favorite place on the property was the hot tub, deck overlooking the lake and the fire pit-- and basically ALL of the outdoor amenities. We loved sitting around the fire watching the stars.

I enjoyed everything about my stay. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, and I sat on the porch to watch the lake and wildlife despite some very chilly temperatures. I loved the skylights! Bed was very comfortable and all that I needed was supplied. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Julie's place in Haslett for about 2 months due to water damage in our home. We felt right at home! We are a family of four with two little ones and a small dog and we had everything we needed. Julie communicated with us daily and we loved the location. We are so grateful for Julie & her family.

We wanted a peaceful, relaxing and fun Fall getaway and that’s exactly what we got! The Cottage was everything we asked for- simple and cozy! The sunrise over the lake was gorgeous, coffee on deck started the days nicely and warm fires ended the nights!

Amazing place! Even better than expected! Although it says no AC, they have a little AC unit next to the couch and it makes the whole place so cool! We brought fans and didn't even need to use them. The view was absolutely beautiful. The sunsets on the water were truly breathtaking. I also wanted to mention how I love that we were able to spend it with our puppy, kind of rare to find a nice waterfront like this that allows animals! We will definitely be back next summer.

We were visiting family in the area with our dog and this was the perfect location. Easy to get around. Great accommodations. Our dog loved the fenced in back yard with a view to the goats, deer, wild turkeys. The house was great with 3 bedrooms and a huge living area. The kitchen junk drawer actually had things you might need like an extension cord or tape. Felt right at home!

This is one of the most well-appointed Airbnbs I have every stayed in, especially for someone who loves to cook! It was also very family friendly, as we had a one year old in tow. It is right on the lake and the view is so peaceful and blue. We came in cold weather so did not experience the water or the busy season, but it was perfect all the same. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was very clean. Everything - furniture, appliances, etc. - were spotless and in good working order. There were spots to store things, so even though there were six of us (including a baby!) it never felt cluttered or messy. Lots of games provided and the attached all season porch was nice for reading or winding down at the end of the day. 11/10 stars!!!
