Would totally recommend staying here! The Highland Club and its grounds and facilities are a true find in such a fantastic location! Pool, sauna and steam room located in such a beautiful setting! Very friendly people in the village and the Pizza at Beaufort House was superb!! We could walk out of the cottage straight onto Loch Ness.. absolutely amazing.. and the cottage itself so beautifully presented! Thank you Gary and Team for a wonderful break and we will be back again soon (we hope!!!)

An absolute gem of a find on Airbnb. Property is finished to a extremely high standard. Beautiful surroundings, short drives to the towns of Forfar or Arbroath should you require anything. The spa is also an absolute must, an added bonus is its all yours when you book it. I have been in a few Airbnb's and this one has shot to the top of my list. Will be booking again as its only a cpl hours from home. Thanks to Paula and Rob for being amazing hosts and opening this property up to me.
Home in Aberdeenshire
4.75 out of 5 average rating, 4 reviewsLuxury 6 bed, bath house with indoor swimming pool
The lodge is amazing! Great getaway for our family of 14. The lodge had plenty of space for everyone in our group. The yard was perfect for the kids to run around and play. And the pool was a bonus. Plenty of room for all of us to get cozy and enjoy the evenings. Nice walks around the back roads. The location is an easy 7-10 minute ride into town for dinner, drinks and local shopping. The lights in the house can be tricky and I would recommend asking Alan on what to push and what not to push. The house is equipped with everything you need to cook with as far as utensils but there is no cooking oil or seasonings so come prepared with your own or purchase from the town co-op. Everything was great and better than pictures show. Had a lovely time making the best memories!

5 out of 5 average rating, 4 reviewsLodge on Hilton Craigendarroch resort in Deeside
Despite the horrendous weather we had a great time at David's place. Nb, you don't come to this part of Scotland for perfect weather and the old adage "theres no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing" is especially true of the Cairngorms in late October. But then there is plenty to do should you not want to climb Lochnagar (we did this in the snow which was just awesome!). Ballater has everything you need from a small town. Great tea rooms, curry house and access to walks and mtb rides everywhere to mention but a few. Once you return from your adventures, the lodge allows you access to the adjacent hotel's leisure centre that has a pool and gym to unwind in with a few spa facilities such as sauna and steam room. There is a jacuzzi but unfortunately wasn't working during our stay. There is also a bar and bistro, idea for a post dip tipple. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and will hopefully return soon. The lodge itself is always warm and cosy with everything that you need.

New place to stayKilconqhar Castle Estate Villa 41 - 3 Bedroom,
Kilconqhar Castle was ideal for a short break with children. Lots to do and lots of open spaces. Very peaceful in the villa. Sarah helped a lot with information before our stay and responded very quickly to any questions. The staff at Kilconqhar were very friendly and helpful.

4.79 out of 5 average rating, 28 reviewsLarge house Drymen Village with Health club access
It was a very cosy at the same time large place to stay for at least 6 people. The conservatory at the back was awesome. Not very far from 2 train stations & tourist places, so not very expensive. Plenty of eating places around, even an Indian takeaway. And loved the local shops around the village. Thanks a lot. Looking forward to be there next year.

We honestly couldn't fault it. The view was spectacular and the photos don't do it justice. It's incredibly well stocked with plenty of towels and linen and it was spotless. The hot tub is massive and the bar area was absolutely fantastic, the fire pit and bbq were a very welcome bonus. If you get the chance to book this place place, do it. You won't be disappointed. Doug is an attentive host without being even slightly intrusive. I wish they allowed dogs as I'd use it much more!

Lovely spacious building with floor to ceiling windows with a great view of the hills in the distance. Outside area would be more usable in the summer, but this house was perfect for our family get together with every one having their own space. Kitchen cookware and utensils ideal, didn’t lack anything. Bryce also left a few welcome drinks and biscuits which was a nice touch.

This is hands down the best AirBnb we have ever stayed in! The house is well equipped, well cared for, well decorated and ultra clean. The beds were all comfortable and soft. The kitchen had everything you could ever need, even some coffee pods for the coffee machine, cooking papers, a basket of goodies, etc. Jean was also responsive and left a binder with a lot of local recommendations. It was truly our little heaven while we were there. We would come back without any hesitation! A true gem.

Had a wonderful stay! The house was warm and cosy, perfect for relaxing after a day out. The log fire was an absolute delight, adding to the charm and atmosphere of the place. We also loved the fresh eggs provided which was such a lovely touch. The setting was so peaceful, ideal for a restful break, and -importantly to me - the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Highly recommend!

This was one of those rare occasions where the place was better than the photos. Check-in was easy, the place was spotless, and it was a short walk to the town centre. The backyard with a view of the lake was definitely a plus. Our only regret was not staying longer. We’d definitely love to stay here again when we return to the highlands! Next time, I’d like to bring my laptop so I could work remotely from there. P.s., After a few bad experiences with Airbnb’s around Europe, we swore to never use Airbnb again. We’re quite picky when it comes to cleanliness and internet connection. We decided to use Airbnb for the highlands since there weren’t many hotel options online. We’re so happy we made this exception! This place was incredible. Surpassed expectations.

Classy accommodation with all that you’d need for a comfortable stay. Easy to overshoot the driveway, as it’a on a main road. Good location if you have a car - just a few minutes to town centre. Highly recommended.
Home in Glenisla
4.9 out of 5 average rating, 116 reviewsClover Cottage, private hot tub, Brewlands Estate
We booked Clover Cottage for our ‘mini moon’ after our wedding and we were so happy with it. It was everything we were looking for in terms of being able to completely switch off for a few days after a very busy/ stressful period. The cottage itself was lovely with great facilities and was incredibly cosy and clean. The garden was perfect for our two Westies to roam about and they even made some friends (6 or 7 cows that would often come down to visit) The scenery around Glenisla was breathtaking and some of the walks a short drive away were so beautiful and it really allowed you to fully appreciate what a hidden gem this part of the country is. Would definitely recommend clover cottage to anyone.

Home in Rumbling Bridge
4.87 out of 5 average rating, 179 reviewsShiel House, Rumbling Bridge
This was absolutely the most magical place I have ever stayed at. Immaculate house, the most beautiful landscaping, Mountain Views, even a marked hiking trail that they made into a scavenger hunt. This was my mother’s 70th birthday present, to visit her mothers homeland and we simply couldn’t have asked for more. Tim took great care to give us very specific instructions and checked in on us throughout the stay. I would tell you how responsive he was to any issues but we literally had none. If you are going spend time in Scotland and you don’t take the opportunity to stay here then you will be disappointed. Thank you for the memory of a lifetime!

4.97 out of 5 average rating, 144 reviewsA Traditional Croft House in the Highlands
We had a wonderful stay. Kate and Alastair were great hosts. Always there if you needed help or to give advice on the local area. The views were spectacular and the whole place was very quiet and had very little traffic. It was a great place to relax. The property was very clean and welcoming, perfect for large families or get togethers. You have all the modern conveniences (WiFi, smart tv, internet etc) The kitchen was very well laid out and had everything you needed. The bathrooms were modern and clean. The animals were wonderful. Hamish the Lab was very friendly and is always there to greet you and my daughter fell in love with the horses, especially Clive. You are only 10 minutes from Fort William, which was great for stocking up and the canal walks were amazing. Thank you Kate and Alastair for a wonderful stay.

4.99 out of 5 average rating, 122 reviewsGorgeous Highland retreat
This was our second visit to the croft and we loved it just as much as our first stay. The building is beautifully constructed and brimming with interesting artwork. The living room and double vaulted kitchen / dinning rooms are fantastic spaces. The kitchen is really well provisioned and the living room is so cosy. The house sits in a large private garden and we particularly enjoyed eating our dinner on the outside table with the aspen trees fluttering away in the background. Glen Affric itself is very beautiful and features large ranges of mature broadleaf woodland. We'd recommend doing all the forestry commission signposted walks if you have time. Thanks for being a great host Liz. Hope to visit again soon.
