Vacation rentals in Governors Island

We are distance friends coming into town for our friend’s 60th birthday. Getting an Airbnb was a great option and so fun. Louis’s place was close to everything and so comfy. The house was decorated well, has everything we could have needed and we felt right at home.

We stayed at Regina's home in Keansburg for two nights over Thanksgiving and felt right at home. The home is located at the end of a quiet street and is walking distance to the beach which has a great view of the NYC skyline. We appreciated how clean the home was and it was well stocked with everything we needed. Regina was quick to answer any questions we had and offered great local recommendations. We would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area!

We enjoyed our stay there. The pictures are exactly as the place is. Cozy and good for anyone wanting to stay in New York. Very responsive and cordial. There’s no living room, so if you are the type to stay in, the rooms are comfortable with a TV in each. The family lives there, therefore, you may hear people walking or talking upstairs. But it wasn’t a bother for us as we spent most of our days outside.

An amazing location and host! We used this home to get ready for our wedding, used the lake for some scenic photos, close to highways, stores, but private views lake side.

We had a great two-night stay in Steven's place. He was always responsive to our questions, and flexible with the arrangements. After requesting an early arrival, he checked to make certain the lodging had been cleaned, then he was right there for us when we arrived. We already had our passcode to enter, but Steven wanted to make sure we found all of the amenities. He answered our questions about transportation options, parking, restaurants and more. When you stay here, don't forget to ask about access to the long and beautiful Long Beach boardwalk. The spacious and private apartment is ready for adults and children. We highly recommend it.

We had a few hiccups but Jean was super responsive and very helpful. We had a wonderful time spending thanksgiving at the beach house.

This house was a lovely place for our family trip! Our party of 4 had plenty of room to spread out, beach is just a few min away, along with restaurants, shops etc. There is plenty of room in the backyard, but my family really enjoyed sitting on the front porch and playing cards. Everything we needed was there, and all questions answered quickly! I would definitely book again!!

We came over to New York for a 1 week holiday, where one of the options was this AirBnB, and after looking around we ended up settling with this one. Bill has been a great host, always proactive and quick to respond when there was something we didn't have. the Airbnb itself is as described, comfortable for 2 people. We were concerned that it might not be worth enough given we visited in December, though thankfully there is a good central heating; the additional heaters weren't required, but the heated blanket was a nice touch. Lovely locations nearby, and we actually spent half the week just staying in Oceanside as everything was a walking distance away. Getting into Central New York City is best done by walking 20 minutes to Oceanside station, and taking the LIRR straight in. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit NYC. We'd happily stay here again if we visited NYC again.
