Cabin vacation rentals in Gooseberry Falls

We visited from Iowa in hopes of finding snow. Crazy right? I hope someday we can return to the area and cabin. This is a magical place. It’s so quiet and peaceful at night outside from the deck. And we were very grateful for 5” or so of snow! Everyone was incredibly friendly around the area. We ventured out in the cold to explore and enjoyed it. The cabin is so warm and cozy. It’s as if you packed up your own home and moved in. They have it all! A hot tub while the snow is falling? Hellooo. Luckily (I kid I kid, ha ha) we don’t have kids, but if we did, we’d send them out to the heated game room. Comfy beds and furniture too! And some places definitely do not. Very grateful there was a shovel!

Great 2 night stay. Very comfortable and clean accommodations, with nice esthetics. Especially enjoyed the deck outside in the morning and evening. Quiet, peaceful location.

Absolutely loved Harvest Moon Cabin! How peaceful it was, just a comfy place to be. We saw lots of wildlife too! Bears, deer, it was so fun! The northern lights even came out for a while. I would love to come back someday! Thanks for a great stay.

We had a wonderful and peaceful stay at this beautiful lake house! The home is cozy, well-equipped, and made us feel right at home. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub with stunning lake views. The perfect getaway for anyone looking to unwind and recharge. Highly recommend!

The cabin is a lovely hide-out from the world with lake views, roaming deer, privacy, a hot tub, and enough space to spread out and feel at home. The owners thought of every detail to make their guests comfortable. If you are looking for a place to pamper yourself, do fun activities around Ely, and reconnect with nature, this is the place for you! We appreciated how easy it was to get in, find what we needed, and focus on our trip.

I loved staying here! We had a chill girls weekend up north, and couldn’t have been happier with this spot. It was clean, exactly as pictured (actually even better), and cozy. The view and walk down to Lake Superior is so special + serene, and being able to enjoy the hot tub + sun room were cherries on top. I can’t recommend this place enough, and the host was friendly, helpful, and communicative whenever we reached out. Thank you for sharing your space! Can’t wait to rebook.

We loved our long weekend at this cabin! Though it was an extreme cold snap, we ventured out for short walks on the peninsula, and mostly stayed cozy inside with a fire in the wood stove all day long. No issues at all with heat or hot water in the severely cold weather. Eric was so helpful when my car wouldn't start at check-out time, accommodated my delayed departure, and talked me through using his car battery charger. This made sure our great weekend ended on a high note!

This was a quaint little place and perfect for what we needed! We will be staying there again next time we’re in the area!

The vibe of the cabin was definitely peaceful, with a beautiful view of the small woods that surrounded it. The fireplace kept the cabin warm and relaxing during our trip, which was in low digit temperatures and snow. My favorite part was being able to go outside the cabin, look up in the sky and see the clear night sky with so many stars.

We had a wonderful time here! Kristin was an incredibly responsive and considerate host. The wood stove was running and the home was warm and cozy for when we arrived! She was so gracious to allow our dogs to stay and made them feel welcome and at home here too. We would definitely come back!!

Leah’s cabin was clean and comfortable! Worked great for a weekend up north with our dog. Definitely bring Yak Traks or something else for the ice in the winter. We were very grateful we had ours!

Perfect location for Nordic skiing, mountain biking and hiking. Startline sports is fantastic and can support all your needs. Great spot and great hosts!

Wonderful trail side place. Loved being in nature with more than your standard camping amenities. Beautiful cabins, perfectly clean bathrooms and showers, sauna, accessible firewood, quiet, right on the trails — and lots of hooks inside! Loved everything about it!

A beautiful cabin with plenty to do around town! It was the perfect little getaway! We loved the decor, cleanliness and hospitality from our host. Would recommend for future stays!

This was such a comfortable and cozy place to stay. It can get cold at night on the north shore in October, but a nice fire in the fireplace kept the cabin warm. The cabin is right off the road but perfectly secluded and private. There were a lot of nice extras like books, games, etc. I will most likely stay there again in the future. It was perfect!

what a magical time we had at John's. The house was beautiful, wonderfully appointed, and so comfortable. The kitchen was fantastic and allowed us to make lots of meals at home.

This was our 4th staying at the cabin and we were so glad we came back! We love that they allow dogs! It’s very cozy with everything you need to make meals and is a great home base for Nordic ski adventuring since it’s in between Lutsen and gunflint and right next to pinchushion. It’s also nice to be so close to grand marais if you end up needing to go out for anything.

The cabin was organized and cozy. It had a lot of amenities for such a small place. It was exactly what we needed. The bathroom was clean and very nice if being compared to a "camp" bathroom. We had the added surprise of finding lake jellyfish in Lake Armstrong. The host had never seen them before and it was one of the highlights of our trip. (Per Google they usually only appear in late summer) We would definitely stay here again.

Kevin's place was perfect in every way! The Homestead cabin had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable and the perfect size for us. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit family!
