Haggart House - 19c Farmhouse + Sauna+Hydrospa

GiorgiaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Kate provided very accurate instructions for self check-in, with instruction for each road we may be arriving from and then local recommendations. She left us a welcome gift and children especially enjoyed the cookies making them feel right at home after the drive there. The house is lovely and well heated, which was surprising as we were expecting the typical chill of an old farm house. There is absolute privacy and almost no noise as the house is away from the main road. The kitchen, while a bit dated is well equipped, there are books and games and which kept us busy on the one rainy day while we were there. Just a few minutes drive away from Bantry which allowed us to bring home take away dinners (still warm) and also shop easily to cook our meals. Bedrooms equipped with electric mattress heaters, and very comfortable. Bathroom very modern and accessible. We are already thinking about when we can take a break and be back here again in spring/summer. Overall an amazing experience!

Trag Retreat Cottage

AislinnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Wow! What an amazing place to stay in dreamy West Cork! This home is something special! The views are absolutely stunning! The back garden is beautiful in winter and the waves hitting the land is breathtaking. I didn’t use the hot tub, but I can imagine how lovely it would be watching the sunset from there. I made great friends with Ed, the cat! He is so snuggly and there is cat food in the cabinet, please remember to feed him! He will sit and cuddle with you as you take in the splendor of these views. The home is so cozy. The fireplaces in the sitting room and bedroom make for a relaxing evening after spending the day taking in the sites. The bed is unbelievably comfortable and cozy. Sarah and Owen went above and beyond to make my trip extra special. They are right next door, so it was nice as a solo traveler to know someone is there if needed. I cannot recommend this enough! Trag Retreat is one of my favorite places and I hope to be back soon. Thanks Sarah and Owen!!

Ard na Doire Detached house on large woodland site

ElizabethRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The home is wonderful. Spacious, lovely and comfortable furnishings, peaceful views from upstairs windows. Tom is super responsive; I contacted him about not finding the outside light, he came over a few hours later to check it and promptly changed the bulb. There are stairs leading to the bedrooms which are all upstairs, in case that's an issue. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Gorgeous stone cottage with modern facilities!

MickRating, 5 stars4 months ago
A wonderful place, tranquil, spacious, tastefully decorated, clean, private yet within 5 minutes of Kenmare. Utilities very easy to use, with a great kitchen/dining area, every need catered for. A very good outdoor space and safe for our dog and grandchild to enjoy. The fast flowing river behind the house is an incredible sound and adds to the overall experience and enjoyment. Come out of the drive, turn right and there are some amazing walks.

Old meets New on Wild Atlantic Way

DeniseRating, 5 stars3 months ago
I seek out older, restored, stone cottages and Kevin's suited me perfectly. Quiet, peaceful, an amazing view of Bantry Bay, well placed on the peninsula so that most things are reasonably close by, plenty of room for a family and not too large for a solo traveler like myself. Good WiFi for remote working, well appointed kitchen, efficient split heating system, and two wood burning stoves (do bring your own logs/starters). Clear directions and instructions provided and Kevin was a breeze to coordinate with. I will happily refer to family & friends and look forward to a return one day. Thank you Kevin!

I absolutely adored this place and cannot wait to return. Des is the most amazing host. He left us with eggs, bread, butter, jam and even wine and champagne for my birthday. Plus he’s just the nicest and most caring guy.

Cosy Traditional Cottage near Kenmare

MatthijsRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We always love our stay at Lower Reen. We know the surroundings very well as frequent visitors and staying here enables us to go anywhere we want in county Kerry and Cork. The cottage is well-equipped and has everything we need. We prepare our breakfast, leave for the day and prepare our dinner or go out in Kenmare. The environment is beautiful, quiet and leads to many tracks and trails we love. Absolutely recommended to stay here if you love hiking.

Cottage in Cape Clear Island

The most southerly house in Ireland

TomRating, 5 stars5 months ago
I can only try to describe how wonderful a stay my partner and I had in Liams lovely cottage on Cape Clear. This is a unique property that through Liams attention to detail and its location as the most southerly house in Ireland creates an atmosphere conducive to reading/writing and generally relaxing by the fire with ocean sounds the only noise to be heard. There are also some stunning walks with the Atlantic surrounding most of the field of view. We received a warm welcome from Liam who I can only describe as a gentleman, he gave us the run down on all we needed to know for our visit and he was communicative from the start. This was a trip to really remember - thanks again Liam.

Caherdaniel Cottage

KateRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a lovely stay at Johanna's cottage over Christmas. We arrived a little earlier than expected and were lucky to be able to check in a bit earlier. When we arrived, Joanna greeted us with local chocolates and had gone to all the trouble of decorating the place for Christmas. So we felt right at home. The cottage is cosy, especially with the wood burner which had been lit ready for us. There's a lovely view to Derrynane beach and it must be lovely to sit in the garden looking out to the beach in the summer, which we intend to do! Some great walking and nice to have the Blind Piper on the doorstep :).
