Porfirio's apartment was the perfect location for a week-long work trip at the University. I specifically looked for a place with minimal street noise, which is often hard to find in the San Jose metropolitan area. As a single female traveler, safety is an important concern. The location, with a guard at the street entrance, and a secure entry system, helped me feel very safe. The space was perfect for my needs with high ceilings, great cross-ventilation, and nice views. The kitchen is nicely equipped and there are numerous markets within a short walk.

The place is true to description and photos. Don Enrique was always attentive to my needs. The place is quiet and bright. If you like to walk everything is at a distance of 30-60 min from the tourist thing of San Jose or the UCR. I don't recommend doing laundry and letting it air dry, not dry in two days. Better pay for the dryer. There is everything you need to cook and there are two supermarkets nearby and bus stops. There is a TV that is not Smart TV but has cable. Thoroughly reviewing the kitchen so as not to buy things unnecessarily. There are shopping bags, utensils, aluminum, bags. Very well equipped. It's a spacious place.

This is the second time my husband and I stayed at Myna's. She and her husband are great !. Very friendly, attentive and made you feel like they are your family. The place is exactly as the last time we were there. Nice, clean, beautiful decoration, comfortable and safe. The best word to describe it is HOME. They have everything you need, including coffee and local fruits. The location is perfect. The guards at the gate are nice and friendly. We have a wondaful time. We highly recommended Myrna's place. This is the only place where we will stay when we return from USA to Costa Rica. Thanks very much for everything.

Olman is extremely friendly and the apartment is beautiful and cozy. The location is great for getting around anywhere. Both the area and the apartment are very safe.

Fernando was a very good host. He was there waiting for me when I arrived and walked me through the house. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. There is no air conditioner in the condo but the open window allowed comfort through the day and the nights were very cool. There is a train close by but it did not cause us any issues. If these are negatives they are just very slight as they cause us no issues at all. Now the location. This trip was for pure relaxation. The condo was very comfortable. The neighbor was just what I wanted to experience. Every morning to get up early and walk the 40 yards to the pulperia and bakery for breakfast. Amazing friendly neighbors and the mountain back drop. The very secure building. The 400 yard walk to Walmart if I needed something bigger. The bus to San José or the 1600 colones taxi ride to downtown San Jose from cinco esquinas. You will not find restaurants within walking distance but between the pulperia and Walmart we were able to buy ingredients to cook most meals. The kitchen was well stocked with everything to cook and serve. I was there for 5 nights and it was my most relaxing visit to San Jose. Usually I stay at hotels downtown. Here I was able to feel comfortable and relax. My next visits will be right back here. I have recommended it to my friends. Ernest Carmona

The accommodation is very central and in a very quiet and beautiful area. The room is quite ventilated, comfortable, there is silence, privacy and the kindness shown makes you feel like home. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay while attending a conference at UCR.

This was my third visit, staying with Osamah. As always, he and his wife are the perfect hosts! They make you feel right at home and go out of their way to make things comfortable and accommodating. We had a last minute emergency and the Airbnb where my traveling companion was booked fell through and Osamah helped him by proving an additional room at the last minute which worked out even better than our original plan. They have recently also renovated the upper floor and everything is clean, bright and functional. I will be so happy to return to this location many times in the future.

This was a great place to stay. We used it as a long-term rental and were so happy with the proximity to neighborhood amenities and friendly neighbors. A wonderful Costa Rican experience.

I had an incredible stay at the URBN Escalante Karil was exceptionally responsive and understanding when I encountered a flight delay, offering quick communication and flexibility to make my arrival as smooth as possible. The building itself is beautifully decorated, with a modern yet cozy vibe. The attention to detail in the decor really made the space feel like home. The amenities were top-notch, from the well-equipped gym/pool to the comfortable common areas. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk from Barrio Escalante, where I enjoyed amazing restaurants, cafes, and nightlife. It was the perfect base to explore the city while also offering a peaceful vibe Everything about my stay was excellent, and we highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting San Jose! I will be back soon.

Great Apartment in a nice area of San Jose! Loved the coffee shop and pizza place just downstairs. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for my family of 4. Host was very responsive and helpful. The gym and jacuzzi were a really nice bonus! Also loved having a parking spot. Highly recommend! We'd be happy to stay again.
