The cabin is exactly as posted. We enjoyed the Gila Forest nd the many hiking opportunities. Two items of note: (1) The heat is radient through the floor. It is comfortable, no drafts, and one can walk around in their socks and not have cold feet and, (2) The cabin has many windows and the inside is a light color. Many cabins we have stayed in have dark wood inside with small windows. We will consider spending Christmas at the cabin.

Carriage House Cottage

The posted description accurately describes the Carrage House Cottage (CHC). The first thing we experienced was the spaciouness of the cottage and uncluttered furnishings. The kitchen has everything one needs to prepare full and light meals. The CHC is located high on a hill between downtown and the college. There is ample off-street parking and the neighborhood seems secure and is quiet for peaceful sleep. We recommend taking a flashlight with you if you walk downtown (about 0.3 miles) at night. Being on a hill the walk downtown includes sidewalk steps that are sometimes not uniform and difficult to see. Outstanding hiking trails are nearby and the CHC provides a comfortable place to rest after exploring the Gila Forest. Dogs are welcome! We will ask to return later this year to continue our exploration of the area. Thank you.

Absolute serenity -- Sandy's guest house is immaculately maintained, thoughtfully decorated, and adorned with a beautiful garden full of birds of all varieties. The views are truly epic: New Mexico's high desert mountains both near and far, Bear Creek right outside the backdoor, and unmatched dark sky stargazing with the Milky Way and stars stretching from horizon to horizon. What can beat taking in this scenery while also sitting in a hot tub taking it all in? Sandy also provides fresh baked bread and organic coffee and other breakfast items that get each day started on the right foot. Sandy is also highly responsive and available for any questions, and cheerfully provides great advice on local hikes/activities/restaurants. Local hiking opportunities are also top-notch and offer a variety of options, including summiting 9000 ft peaks, canyon hikes through multicolored towering rocks, and naturally occurring hot springs. We will be back!

We had a wonderful time at the Silver City Casita. Cindy and Alex were great hosts, very clear instructions and helpful. The house was just what we were looking for— it is a nice neighborhood close to the main drag, comfy, and quiet. Our dogs enjoyed it as well! Thank you so much!

This is our go-to rental when we travel to Silver City to see our family. If this house isn’t available the dates we want, we will find a time that it is available. The lot is large. The location feels safe. Lots of wildlife. Birds, deer, bunnies. Lots of birds!! Every time we come Rachel adds a new nice amenity. We cook most of our meals in the well stocked kitchen. I don’t know how many hours I spent swinging on the glider in the backyard making great memories with my 9 year old granddaughter. The house is well kept and very clean. We will continue to stay at Rachel’s place as long as it’s available. Thank you SO much Rachel. We sure appreciate your place in Silver City and enjoy doing business with you.

Beautiful building! I was a bit worried about the shared spaces but I didn’t see any other guests. The walls are a bit thin so I heard some noise but nothing too bad. I really enjoyed and my stay and definitely recommend!

Very clean! Host provided shampoo, conditioner, lotions, and plenty of coffee supplies. There was also cleaning supplies handy so we could tidy up and do laundry. I appreciate all the extras! One of the best places I've stayed as far as cleanliness. Host was also very responsive!

Our stay at Alisha’s Casa Cooper was everything and more than we had hoped. It was the most thoughtfully appointed vacation rental I’ve ever stayed in. Filtered water in the fridge, fresh fruit on the table, and sweet treats on the counter made us feel valued as guests. The place was spotless and one could tell that every amenity was designed with guest accommodations in mind. There were lots of resources available with tips on things to do in Silver City. I highly recommend this spot should you find yourself in the area!

We loved our stay in Sierra‘s blue house! It was perfect for our little family of four — 2 kids in the center room and adults in the back bedroom. Everything was incredibly clean and there were nice touches all around the little house. Really appreciated the extra travel supplies in the bathroom! We will definitely be back.

Matts place had everything and when I say everything, we mean everything even things I had not even thought of. It had premium toiletries, foldable chairs to use at the lake, condiments, Q-tips, everything we needed and then some. The location is close to the Lake Roberts, made coming and going easy. Matt is a great host, can't wait to go fishing again soon and staying here again!

Our three-generation family occupied both Gatehouse and Bunkhouse dwellings, where we enjoyed Christmas cheer and feasting. Our thoughtful hosts made our stay uber-comfortable, with well-equipped kitchens, comfy bedding, good hot showers, great spaces to gather--everything as described. But most memorable and utterly out of the ordinary was Alex's guided tour of the quarters still remaining on the storied historic L.C. Ranch. Some buildings dating to the early 1800s, with furnishings lovingly assembled over decades by the family of the current stewards (and much left in place from previous centuries), made for a great place to unwind and explore the astonishing surroundings. Gila Cliff Dwellings and Catwalk, like this precious time capsule, are not to be missed!

This is absolutely a gem of a place. The house is so beautifully decorated. The sunrise and sunsets are beautiful. It’s comfortable, clean and so unique. Our family stayed over Easter weekend and we had everything we needed. It was close to the general store, Lake Roberts and the Gila Cliff Dwellings as well as so many beautiful hikes and hot springs. Our family spoke about making this spot our yearly meeting place. We all loved it so much.

This place was a haven in a very hard time. Unfortunately we had to come for a funeral on a town a grew up in but hadn’t been back to in 10 years. It was peaceful, beautiful and Carmen was more than accommodating. It was everything we needed during this time and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.
