IORI ICHINOMACHI【TOWN HOUSE&Private Open-Air Bath】

Huy & NhiRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our stay at Iori’s place in Hida-Furukawa was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. The house itself is a beautiful blend of traditional Japanese charm and modern comfort—immaculately clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. They even have the heated floor, an onsen bath and very comfortable beds! The location was perfect, nestled in the heart of Hida-Furukawa, allowing us to easily explore the town’s picturesque streets, historic temples, and serene canals. Iori was an exceptional host—friendly, responsive, and full of great recommendations for local food, sights, and hidden gems. We got lost in the wrong station once and we're very grateful that they came and help Staying here truly made our trip unforgettable, and we can’t wait to return! If you're looking for an authentic and comfortable stay in Hida-Furukawa, this is the place. Thank you, Iori!

We spent Christmas here and it was a lovely, peaceful place to stay. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and great amenities - the fancy toaster was a highlight! Easy walk to nearby supermarket. We had an issue with the Nespresso machine and our host popped by within minutes to help us out. He also gave a lot of great local recommendations. We’re so glad we chose this delightful place to spend a few nights!

IORI SHIROYAMA【City View & luxury space】

JosephRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and looks exactly like the photos. There is a beautiful park directly behind the house, and it snowed while we were there, which was spectacular. Takayama is a relatively small town, so almost everything is walkable from the house. Iori manages several properties in the town and does a great job. I suspect that any property managed by Iori would be a great choice.

IORI TENMAN 【 LUXURIOUS TOWN HOUSE& Open-Air Bath】

JoRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Fabulous place to stay! It felt really traditional, but with modern amenities at the same time. The beds were comfy, both bathtubs are great, and the mix of Japanese and Western worked perfectly for us. Both breakfast choices were delicious and served beautifully, and we also opted for the hida grill one evening which was fantastic. Nate was communicative and helpful throughout, and the location is very central. Would thoroughly recommend this stay.

Bettei Yamashiro【JPY modern style/3 cars/WiFi】

ThomasRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We really enjoyed the house itself, as it was so very comfortable and perfectly located, but also the local restaurants. There is a great yakitori place called Iburu very close to the house, which I highly recommend. It was a little pricey but some of the best grilled chicken I’ve ever tasted. Also, a new coffee shop called Pinecone was a really nice discovery. They don’t open till noon, but the young owner is a fluent English speaker who loves to chat with the customers. He also sells a selection of craft beers (in cans) from around Japan. We bought those to take home and enjoyed drinking them at the house in the evening. A lovely 125 year old Japanese sweet shop is close by, too. And the hot springs! Finally, on our way home back to Shiga, we stopped at a little place called Ippei Sushi. The best sushi I’ve ever had. ¥2,200 for a lunch set fit for a king. You should get there before 11! All in all it was a spectacular holiday. We look forward to going again next year.

TAKIGAHARA HOUSE-Life with Farm-

DanielaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We've loved our stay at the Takigahara house! The building is truly special, having all the amenities needed and carefully renovated, keeping the old charm of it. The surrounding are lovely, and you are waking up with a view of the mountains. We've been lucky enough to be able to have dinner at the cafe, and we've enjoyed the natural wine that we've bought from their bar - it was a great experience. Our host have been very helpful, and welcoming, so we've had a lovely overnight stay!
