This place was fantastic! We stayed here with our 4 daughters. They loved feeding and talking to Hershey the donkey every day. The home was clean and SO WELL SUPPLIED! We have stayed in so many AirBnBs where we had to rewash the silverware for every meal--not here! There were cooking utensils and silverware and plates and cups and bowls galore as well as tinfoil and parchment (so helpful for leftovers and baking). The owner also quickly supplied firewood when she realized it had been overlooked. We loved sitting in the front room playing games, reading, doing puzzles and enjoying the woodstove. The home is at the end of a mountain road and we hiked on the mountain and took walks up and down the road. The only constructive criticism I would have is that the key instructions are confusing. I would just say, there is no key, just a keypad with a code to get in and out. Thank you again for lovely quiet place for us to get away and celebrate New Years!

It was the perfect getaway for our family. It was secluded enough that we could enjoy the quiet but also close to a big store for our needs. The yard being fenced in was a bonus.

My girlfriends and I stayed at this beautiful NC house and we loved it!! It was a nice way to get away from the city and have a relaxing weekend full of board games, baking Halloween cookies and treating ourselves to an in house spa night. The house was so beautiful and we were obsessed with all the themed rooms. The hot tub was of course a hit! The house is also near great hiking spots. We did a hike inside the neighborhood and we also went to Chimney Rock State Park, which isn’t far from the house. We ended our weekend at the neighborhood restaurant which had plenty of yummy food options and beautiful scenery to take lots of photos at! We absolutely loved in and would go back again!

Brevard is such a gem of a town, and this home is a perfect compliment. The close location to Main Street while having a beautiful yard and abundant sounds of birds chirping make for a great mix of nature getaway and convenience. The house was spotlessly clean (getting harder and harder to find with Airbnb lately) and well equipped for a weekend stay.

Marisa’s house is a beautiful cabin that was worth every penny. It is convenient to Brevard and the Pisgah Forest for the fishing and outdoor enthusiast. Marisa was very accommodating to my group and was prompt to responding to messages. The house was clean and lacked no amenities. The kitchen was well furnished with pots, pans, etc. and linens were plentiful. I would recommend Marisa’s place for anyone hoping to get away and stay in a beautiful part of North Carolina.

There really are no words to describe how much we enjoyed our stay. For our family of 6, and our 2 doggies, we were looking for a large space in a beautiful and peaceful setting to enjoy the holidays together. We are all so busy and run in different directions, and we thought this would be a great way to have a captive Christmas for everyone to enjoy time together! We were right! The owner has the house decorated perfectly for Christmas, and the basement level was perfect for our 3 grown boys to play video games and bond together! Grandma enjoyed the large tv with the giant window overlooking the mountain and lake - and mom & dad (us) enjoyed the master bedroom & bath with a balcony overlooking the mountain and lake. It was perfect, like Switzerland, but only 2 hours from home! We have treasured memories of our trip!

My wife and I wanted to have a little get away for our 6 year anniversary, and we’re so glad we chose Julie’s place. It was super pretty inside and out, it was in a very quiet and relaxing area. Not only that but the view of the mountains and landscape from the sunroom, as well as the patio was absolutely gorgeous. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the tub, and how relaxing it was to soak in it. I loved most how Julie is dog friendly and our furry child loved running around in the dog yard. We are most definitely going to be planning to return again soon. This house is fantastic. Clean and looks just like the pictures. The view is incredible! The kitchen is well stocked with all the pots and pans and cooking utensils that you need. The living area is very comfortable and we thought the beds were really comfy! I would absolutely stay here again!
