Chathura and his wife have been extremely nice to let us leave the bags at the place after check out so that we could make the best use of our day in Hikkaduwa. He’s been very responsive and happy to help with everything, he also gave us tips of where to eat and shop!

We stayed at this beautiful villa in Sri Lanka with a group of six, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The villa itself was spacious, clean, and very well-maintained. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, which made everything even more enjoyable. The highlight was definitely the private swimming pool — perfect for relaxing and cooling off. The villa is located right on the beach, which made for stunning views and peaceful vibes. However, one thing to note is that the sea was too rough for swimming during our stay due to strong waves. So while the beach setting was beautiful, we mostly stuck to the pool for swimming. That said, everything else was excellent, and we had a great time. Highly recommend this villa for a relaxing getaway in Sri Lanka!

I’m a single woman traveling alone from the U.S. and from the first moment meeting the hosts, I felt like I was part of this beautiful family. I have friends forever here! So warm and welcoming and accommodating. What a beautiful example of Sri Lankan hospitality. The hostess is always eager to cook you a delicious Sri Lankan meal. They put in so much effort to make sure that I was comfortable and had everything I need. Excellent all around! Incredible value, excellent Wi-Fi, beautiful home, quick access to Hikkaduwa beach. The host has also been my personal tour guide of the area, which has a lot to see and experience. In particular the tsunami of 2004 was quite devastating to this area, and there are many memorials that are heart-opening. This family even rented a car and drove me eight hours to the center of the island where we spent the night together experiencing other sites! Incredible! I would highly recommend this home for anyone wanting to have a unique, personal experience!

If you’re looking for a private beach with the ocean, this is the place for you! Far from popular tourist spots, you’ll find peace and tranquility here. There are several oceanfront restaurants nearby. The staff is attentive, and excellent breakfasts were included!

We had a Honey moon and New Year in Akain villa. The villa is situated very close to the ocean. We prefer to see sunsets at the beach. The owners are very kind and friendly people. They help us, brought everything what we need. In the eve of New Year Candy and Lakmina organized unforgettable beach party with national food and fireworks for their guests! There is 20 minutes to the fish market by foot. Every Saturday there is the market not far from the villa. We have wonderful time in this house.

Perfect for what we needed, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Staff were very kind and helpful. Ours room was spotless and just like the pictures.

Thanks for everything, Tharanga and her family were so nice and helpful. We had to move and couldn’t stay the week but we really recommend staying at Tharanga’s place. The food was amazing!

I absolutely adored my stay here! Such a unique experience being amongst the local community and having a really authentic stay. The details were immaculate and Lahiru was extremely accommodating. I can highly recommend this to everybody wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle to truly feel Sri Lanka at its best

We had an amazing stay at TheBlues. Thank-you Janaka for making us feel so welcome and great communication throughout out stay, and to the lovely, friendly housemaids Nishani and Anousha who took care of us and cooked lovely meals whenever we wanted. The house is great, it's like staying in the jungle with monkeys jumping around in the trees whilst we enioyed the large pool. And the beautiful beach with turtles is very close-by, as are shops and cafes. Thoroughly recommend this beautiful property and Janaka as a host.

The villa is in a beautiful, quiet location, yet a short walk to the city, in reality it is much nicer than in the photos. It has absolutely everything you need, a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a huge living room. The property is looked after by a great manager who will help with everything and is available. There are several really great restaurants nearby (I recommend Two brothers on the main street), a short walk from the house is a supermarket, a fish market,... everything is at your fingertips. The pool is clean, as is the beach nearby. We will definitely be happy to come back, the stay was like a dream. Thank you. Sona and Michal

Our stay at Kaya Cottage was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beautiful surroundings and peaceful ambiance welcomed by peacocks and birds. The private pool was a highlight—perfect for a relaxing dip at any time of the day. The spacious living area was tastefully designed, creating a cozy atmosphere. We also loved the huge, well-equipped kitchen, which made cooking a delightful experience. The cottage itself was impeccably maintained, with attention to detail in every corner. Whether lounging by the pool, enjoying the open living space, or simply soaking in the serenity, every moment was truly enjoyable. We would highly recommend it and can’t wait to visit again!

Sunil was the best host we had in Sri Lanka. We were welcomed with fresh and cooled coconuts. He and his colleagues were super friendly and the accommodation was even better than expected. During the tasty breakfast, we were even able to see the turtles in waves.

Such a great place to stay when visiting Hikkaduwa. The location is great right on the beach with easy access to local spots and frequent tuk tuks around if you want to go further afield. The house staff were so so friendly and helpful and went over and above to make us welcome. The food they prepared was delicious and they all tried hard to play with my 4 year old boy, he loved them all. Highly recommend!

Had a great stay at this beautifully furnished, duplex condominium. The apartment has ample space, is extremely comfortable and ideally suited for a large family or group. It is also equipped with all the amenities you would expect from any 5* hotel. The host, Minoli was also extremely helpful and very pleasant to deal with. All in all, one of the best condominium properties in the area!

This is a truly unique home in a fantastic location with breathtaking views of the ocean. The design of the house is exquisite, crafted with great taste, style, and a soul of its own. Nissanka and Damith are incredibly hospitable, always ready to assist, guide, and organize anything for their guests. Their cooking is exceptional! We had an amazing time here. The White Sand Villa stay will be the highlight of my Trip to Sri Lanka. The Villa was Fantastic with a Pool and just a Few Steps from the white Sand and your the Prive Indian Ocean Lagoon. the Staff was just so Nice took care of all our requests. The Chef just made best food what we wanted. I will recommend this Villa to anyone. Nirasha was Fantastic host.

Dilhan and his family welcomed us warmly from the start. We were well looked after and had people to contact around the clock. The apartment is clean and as shown in the pictures. Unfortunately, the apartment is opposite a very noisy street, but after the first few days this didn't bother us anymore and we were able to sleep well at night in the comfortable beds with earplugs. The apartment also has no hot water, but that didn't bother us at all in 30 degree heat. There is a bus stop right outside the front door from which you can get directly to Ahangama and Mirissa for little money. There is no air conditioning, but there is a powerful fan in every room. We highly recommend the accommodation and really felt very comfortable during our two weeks of stay :)

I stayed for two weeks at this beachfront villa in Ambalangoda, and it was an incredible experience. The villa is spacious, with large rooms and plenty of space to relax. Having a parking area was a huge advantage, especially for my rented motorcycle. Denuka, the host, was extremely helpful and responsive. He quickly addressed my requests via WP and ensured a smooth stay. Another highlight was Denuka’s uncle, who spends most of the day near the swing in the front yard. He is incredibly kind and always ready to help whenever needed. Exploring the surroundings by motorcycle was a fantastic experience—I highly recommend it. Overall, this villa is a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic getaway. I would definitely stay here again!

Wow.....We stayed for our winter break for two months and it was fantastic. The villa, although a little quirky was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, the outside areas were fantastic, really good pool and beutifully kept gardens, with direct access to the beach and nearby restaurants. Gievs was always on hand to give us local information and to resolve any problems that occurred. Having problems reaching the beach due to the sand retracting with the tide he organised wooden steps to make our access easier within day....fantastic. The biggest joy of our stay was the house manager...Sadika who was always on hand to keep the villa pristinely clean and serve the best gin and tonics in Sri Lanka. his mother would come and cook our meals if we wished and honestly, her food was outstanding, beating most restaurant standards in the area. Some of the reviews here made me second guess my booking, but you can't always rely on what you read. That said I LOVED my stay here, it was heaven on earth literally ON the beach. I am traveling through SL solo and this place was a dream, Ravi was so helpful and accommodating, he and I got along very well, (yes he is a bit rough around the edges) but you can't always judge a book by its cover. Ravi went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. Erich was amazing as well, his communicaiton was excellent, very responsive. Points: Make sure you discuss price upfront before anything. My only complaint is that Ravi had a bag of laundry done for me and the next day charged me $40 USD!!!! I was floored. I had two bags of laundry done a few days later for $6.50 USD wishing you both all the success ( I have already told 3 people to book with you when they get down South) I hope they do!

We had a great stay at this place. The hosts were reserved, friendly and very helpful. The location of the accommodation is optimal.
