Vacation rentals in Gaafaru

Great place in Thulusdhoo! The accommodation is almost as close as you can get to the famous Cokes Surf Break and a minute walk to the best Bikini Beaches on the island. There are plenty of restaurant options as well as some shopping. Everything is walking distance, even with little ones. The accommodation itself is spacious inside with a private outside courtyard that is great for knocking the beach sand off before heading inside. The air conditioning works great as does the appliances and internet! The hosts are super responsive and proactive but were never intrusive. The instructions and recommendations that were provided ahead of our arrival were very helpful in our preparation and planning and eliminated the stress of figuring out how to transition from airport to island. We have already shared our experience and the listing with friends who are interested in going and we would love to return again once our 2 and 6 year old kids are a bit older for new adventures. Just one word, WOW!, the location was exactly like in the pictures, check in was super smooth with a warm welcome, staff on the iskand were the friendliest people ever! I would definitely rebook this.

We LOVED our stay at the villa with private pool. We had a wonderful time at the hotel & the staff were so lovely. The food was delicious; room was nice, spacious, clean; staff were prompt and took care of us well; relaxing but also so much to do; etc! We definitely want to be back as soon as we can! Make sure to wear your sunscreen and enjoy snorkeling / scuba diving in the water with all the colorful fishes. We felt like we got a good price for our money! Thank you!

We came with family and friends to enjoy the house for ourselves and everything was simply great! Beautiful house, everything nice and clean and peaceful. We had an amazing housekeeper Rafiq who picked us at the harbor and took care of everything for the whole stay. He made sure whole house was clean and in order, cooked us breakfasts and did his very best to keep us happy for which we are very greatful. Had an amazing stay. Really enjoyed the breakfast. They arrange a ferry for you. Really kind staff and they always want to help you, for example with booking a tour. Room is big and clean. Really enjoyed our stay.

We loved the direct access to the beach from the room and enjoyed to sit on the lounge chairs at the beach a lot. The staff was very attentive to our needs. Great that breakfast is included and we did a snorkeling tour that we booked with the host to a coral and a virgin island that was beautiful - I highly recommend. Thanks also for borrowing us snorkeling goggles during our stay! The room was nice and we liked that there was a water boiler to prepare some tea on your own. Also, I appreciate the coordination of the logistics since our arrival at Malé airport as there was very friendly staff Mr Imran to receive us and then help us to get on the right speedboat and then we were picked up with a golf cart on Dhiffushi to take us to the accomodation. Thanks for everything - we had a lovely time!

I stayed here for 3 days, and I’m more than happy about it. Guest house felt like home, everyone were super friendly, were intrested in you, gave space, gave water apples from own yard etc. Cafe, which was right next to the place, were beautiful, had good breakfast, juice and coffee, and staff was unbelievable. It was easy to arrange surf lessons and snorking trip, and I loved just spend time at cafe with locals! Absolute gem, these people are wonderful!

We stayed with Mohammed for a week. The property is simple but very clean, every day they redid the room and changed the towels. The staff is super, Maattu and his brothers were always available to make our vacation perfect. We really liked their little restaurant, a stone's throw away, where they are very kind and you eat very well, with the locals. Unforgettable excursions to the coral reef, Maattu and the others did everything to give us all the excitement that their beautiful sea offers: we swam with turtles, sharks and dolphins! Other properties include the cost of excursions, which is not cheap, but we paid for them separately, which still gives you the opportunity to decide whether to do them or not. For us it was an unforgettable experience, Gaafaru compared to other islands is less "touristy", you experience the reality of the place and it is a good choice for those who want to have a more authentic travel experience.
