Cottage vacation rentals in Frisco

Our second visit in three months, my husband and I returned to the Best Box for a longer stay between Christmas and New Year’s. Five nights was perfect and let us forget all our troubles. Amanda has thought of everything you could need. Even some lovely Christmas decorations that blended it beautifully with the rest of the interior design. Amanda is a super host - so thoughtful and responsive and wants to make sure you get the most out of your time at the house. Whether you want to be active on the water or chill out with incredible views, this is the perfect home to do everything and nothing. We can’t wait to come back to this very special place.

Great house and great host. Had to make a last second change from a previous house we were staying in and Michelle was able to fit us in the night we asked and even before our allotted time. Made sure we had everything we needed and was always responsive. Very appreciative for her and her flexibility. Home was clean and had everything we needed. Would recommend to stay here.

Our family loved spending the week here! The incredible kitchen is so well stocked and fun to cook in, the beds are all very comfortable, and the location is great - easy beach access and beautiful views. It’s walkable to a lovely coffee shop and movement studio, and close to any and all amenities you may need while still feeling private.

Perfect “get away” for our group of 5 and puppy. The location was close enough to restaurants, and shops, but far enough to get away from the busy part of Nags Head. The house was beautiful! We loved how much it felt like a home! Check in was easy, and the house was very clean. It had everything we needed and more! We didn’t plan on cooking during this trip, but the kitchen had everything, in case we did. The view was great, and at night, you could see every star in the sky. The beach was just steps away and beach chairs were already provided. Hot tub, outdoor shower, smart TVs in every room…they even had a crate with a pillow made up for our 19 pound puppy! There are so many great things to say about The Swingin’ Dinghy! We’d love to stay here again, the next time we visit Nags Head! Thank you so much Ashley & Bridget! You are awesome hosts! Beautiful home! This is a well designed home with easy access to the beach. I loved the private beach walk and campfire area. The bedrooms were perfect. The 2 level decks have a beautiful view of the ocean and lovely hammock and chairs to enjoy the sunset. The hosts were so helpful. We would stay here again.

My family and I had a wonderful stay, the house was well stocked. We had trouble getting the TV to work, Sandy was very quick to try to help. Unfortunately there was an outage on the island, but she still tried to help! Highly recommended!

Just Enough was that and so much more. Beautiful area, super porch for viewing the canal, really comfortable house. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking up some great fresh seafood. The seafood shop was just up the road by the way. Restaurants and grocery were all close by. Evenings on the porch were such a super way to relax after beaching, biking and kayaking. Really loved our stay

Perfect for a few days at the beach. The master bedroom was a little warmer than the rest of the house. I think the window unit in there isn’t really cooling. It was still comfortable. We would rent again. Location is perfect for going anywhere in the OBX.

This was the cutest little beach cottage! We went for a 4 day get away with our small children and dog. Our 12 year old son absolutely LOVED fishing in the canal in the backyard. He’s an avid lover of fishing so this was perfect! We rented a kayak & had it delivered for him to use. We frequent the Hatteras area and this cottage was one we’d never tried but would definitely stay again! Thanks Gisa!

The house is nice and we were very comfortable. Plenty of space for two families with kids and pets. The pool is big and the deck is nice with several spots to sit and relax. The beach is huge in this part of North Avon and is rare these days in the outer banks. Highly recommend and would stay here again. No issues

We had a great stay at Out of the Blue. Margot was so responsive and helpful. Perfect location to get to/from beach easily and close to grocery, restaurants. Comfortable home. Would definitely return!

Really nice place in an amazing location

Well we came in late so it was pitch dark so which was our fault. It was a long drive 7 hours but it was worth it x1000%. We had some trouble finding it on its little island- but, it’s only because it’s so private and secluded and there are winding little driveways that it seems the numbers aren’t in order. It was like a treasure hunt and man we found treasure. Todd the owner and April the property manager were absolutely awesome- you called or texted and there was no lag. You were guaranteed a quick response. The place was so peaceful and beautiful and so close to anything you could possibly need . The crabbing was phenomenal and we caught a ton of flounder which were all released back to their homes. What a well needed soul saver this place is. Without a doubt back here soon. Tite lines is an awesome charter if you want to go fishing. Go with hunter or aaron

Loved loved loved it!!! Family vibes all around! Great loving dog and had some bikes to get around! So close to the beach! Wish I could live here forever!

Morgan's house is tastefully furnished and full of light. The kitchen is well equipped, beds comfortable, and everything very clean. The beach is very close and was absolutely glorious because we went out of season and although it was sunny and warm there were few people about - only a few locals fishing. The children appreciated all the equipment for building sandcastles. We found some good restaurants open.

Julyan was very pleasant to work with. Everything you see in his listing is spot on. He was very helpful. He provided a lot of information about restaurants, places to visit, shops, things to do, and companies that provide fishing excursions. He stayed in contact with me from the minute I booked his lovely home till the day my family checked out. He provides detailed instructions of what is expected upon check-out to avoid an added cleaning fee. I would absolutely book with him again.

We enjoyed our stay! Everything was great from location, cleanliness and ease of checking in and out. Dylan was a great host and we will return!
