This home is located in one of the very best neighborhoods in New Orleans and is within easy walking distance of the St Charles Avenue streetcar; two top-rated restaurants, a French bistro, several other casual restaurants, a wine shop, a cheese shop, a grocery, a neighborhood bar, two banks,, a hair salon, a nail salon, a dry cleaner and much more! Built in 1900, the home is accessed by the brick stairs leading to the porch landing and double beveled glass doors. There is plenty of on-street parking just outside the front doors. You are invited to relax and make yourself at home. Yes, you may play the piano! (It was just tuned!) In the building, 2nd floor only (it's plenty of space at 1700 sq ft). Guests are also welcome to enjoy the covered sitting area, the patio and garden and the grill, if desired. Use of the basement or third or fourth floors are not permitted for this rental. I am available by phone or text when needed, but want you to enjoy your privacy, so will not visit without an invitation. There are instructions inside the apartment and also a listing of recommended dining options and music venues. I have travelled to many countries and enjoyed the hospitality from people all over the world. It is my great pleasure to host fellow travellers in my home! Welcome!! Jeanie The house is in an area with some of the finest architecture in New Orleans. It’s one block to the streetcar and steps away from excellent cafes, restaurants, shops, and markets such as Zara's Lil' Giant Supermarket. This is the best walking neighborhood Uptown. Even Magazine street is only 6 blocks away. You can Uber or Lyft anywhere outside the neighborhood or take the streetcar to your destination and Uber or Lyft home I cannot say enough about the location of this apartment and the spaciousness and scale of the architecture.

I live in the front part of the home and I've lived here for my whole life. This apartment is great for travelers to New Orleans and is in one of the most desired parts of the city, Uptown New Orleans. Our stay at Tanei’s home in New Orleans was amazing! The house was very clean, beautifully decorated, and had super comfortable beds. My family and I felt completely safe and loved how quiet and beautiful the neighborhood was. We came for a weekend getaway, and it was perfect. The saltwater pool was a huge hit for my family. I also enjoyed morning walks to the lake and taking in the beautiful views. We didn’t use the fireplace, but the home itself was magnificent. Getting around was easy with Uber; wait times were short, and we were only about 15 minutes from the French Quarter and most attractions. Tanei was incredibly responsive and accommodating, making everything smooth. After a long morning of travel, the welcome snacks and water she left were so thoughtful and appreciated, especially with hungry kids! We truly felt at home and will definitely always book her place when visiting NOLA.

Dan is an excellent host with a very warm and heartfelt attitude. The house as such is in a wonderful shape - with a nice backyard and a well equiped kitchen. Everything needed was already in the cabinets: coffee, filters, toilett paper. :-) We can absolutely recommend this location.

It was very comfortable with four people. Parking is its only difficulty, but you can usually find something within a block and always move your car later in the day when parking is not so bad on Magazine. It was very spacious and well appointed. The location was absolutely ideal.

Kell’s house was perfect for our stay. It’s been tastefully decorated to make you feel right at home with all the charm of NOLA. My daughters loved the pool in the backyard. It’s a short walk to some of the neighborhood establishments and a short drive to all the happenings around the city - great location. Kell is a great host. He checked in often and was quick to respond when we had questions. I would highly recommend staying at the Orleans House.

This is a beautiful home and Nathalie is the perfect host. We had a fantastic stay in New Orleans and the Bywater is our favourite area. It’s quiet and peaceful but full of great bars and restaurants. It’s also walkable into the French Quarter. The house is spacious, clean and comfortable with a few special touches. We will definitely be booking again.
