Cabin vacation rentals in French Lick

White Oaks has become a special place we will return to often. The space was secluded yet had a few people just far enough away that you didn’t feel unsafe. The cabin was comfortable, rustic, but so perfect for us. The deck makes the Lodge magical. The weather didn’t cooperate to spend too much time on it, but we will return just for a cup of coffee at sunrise on it! The hot tub in the snow made up for it!

My husband and I went here for a weekend getaway. Secluded and very peaceful place. We enjoyed the outside fire pit and walked the gravel road to and from the cabin. Beautiful atmosphere all around! We hope to return soon!

The cabin was perfect and absolutely lovely. I was enamoured with juxtaposition of the rustic cabin from the 1800s combined with all of the modern amenities. I couldn't have asked for more. It was exactly what I needed. Best Airbnb I've ever stayed in. Told my BFF and she's now planning to book it for her anniversary.

This snug cabin in the Hoosier National Forest hit all the right notes for our winter family getaway! With Paoli Peaks just a short drive away, it was the perfect home base for teaching our kids to ski. After long days on the slopes, nothing beat returning to the cabin's private jacuzzi to soothe tired muscles. The layout is just right - two bedrooms on the main floor, plus a cozy loft space that the kids loved. Gathering around the wood-burning stove in the evenings, sipping hot cocoa and sharing stories about our ski adventures, created memories we'll cherish forever. The hosts thought of everything, from well-equipped kitchen to outdoor amenities (great for non-ski days!). It's the perfect size for a family - not too big, not too small, but just right. Whether you're hitting the slopes at Paoli or looking for a cozy forest retreat, this cabin delivers. We'll definitely be back for next ski season!

I had two adults and four high school fishermen for the Indiana HS state fishing championship. We had room to park both trucks/boats, the boys loved the hot tub after some cold days on the lake, and this cabin fit the needs for our stay.

Definitely a “even nicer than the photos” location. Favorite part was relaxing on the 2nd floor balcony with a book, coffee, and sun rising over the lake. Very peaceful and my three boys loved the yard, hot tub, and variety of board games provided. It’s a cabin, but one of the cleanest cabins we’ve ever stayed in. Nearby Marengo Caves (take both tours) are a great experience. Overall, highly recommended.

We were so happy with our stay! It is an extremely dog friendly place and our pup (husky/staffordshire mix) had such a blast! There's plenty of things to do nearby if you feel like leaving, but really this place is just a cozy and fun home in the woods. We had such a wonderful time and will absolutely book again! We couldnt believe the price for how wonderful of an area and the property itself. Book now, you won't regret it!

Cabin was beautiful and clean we felt right at home. Lots to do in the area. Very peaceful stay. Tim was very nice and helpful.

Pictures do not do this sanctuary justice! Walking in felt like coming home to someone cleaning your house inside and out . All the comforts of home and then some. I didn’t want to leave. Every room and outdoor area was absolutely delightful!! Herb was great responding to every question fast. Looking forward to returning. Such great accommodations I won’t look anywhere else on my next trip to the area . Hopefully it’s not overbooked. The down side to great experiences are unquestionably great reviews! I can’t thank Herb enough for the wonderful experience of his cabin. Truly unforgettable!

The Toasted Marshmallow was quite idyllic. So much so we canceled dinner plans at 1875 to hang out around the fire pit the last night. The amenities were wonderful. The s’mores kit was a wonderful touch. The mattresses were firm but comfy. So quiet and cozy. Felt very relaxed and secluded yet close to great restaurants.

We had a peaceful and restful visit. Not having city or neighborhood noise was just what we were looking for. If there was anything we had forgot to pack, the cabin had it available for use. I was impressed how prepared the cabin was for any visitor. The list of amenities doesn't begin to describe what is included in the cabin.

He was wonderful when we spoke. explained everything in detail. it's such a quiet peaceful place. no fuss if you don't mind mind the off grid stay. the kids ran and played outside and we cooked on the grill and fire pit. there's a cave nearby we visited that was really cool and the kid's had fun. love that there is no TV or service for phones. I actually talked to my children instead of them on there electronics. we went fishing at the lake nearby and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. can't wait next time though just the hubby and I will stay for the alone time. The kids are already asking to come back! pro tip.... bring a radio for some music thats battery powered, and pack food in paper or plastic so it's easier to burn. I regret not staying longer.... Have fun and spend real family time together!

Patty was a wonderful host! She was always responsive to any questions I had, and was always willing to help out with anything! Her cabin was perfect for a small weekend getaway with my husband. We brought our toy poodle with us with no issues. Beautiful property a surrounded by the woods and a small pond. A perfect place for a quiet getaway. I would recommend her place and would love to revisit again!

Great country getaway, so peaceful and walking distance to the lake for some fishing.

Loved the cabin. Enjoyed being in nature. Quiet and disconnected from the world. Lol Cabin is super cute with everything you need and the host is super responsive and friendly. Would absolutely book it again.

A great place to stay. Had 16 people for a bachelor party and had a great time with enough space for everyone. Rained a minority of the time we were there but the inside is spacious enough for outdoor activities inside (cornhole, etc.). Would stay again.

David's place was nice and spacious for our family of 4. Well stocked kitchen to cook, however there isn't a dishwasher and you have to hand wash dishes prior to leaving so don't plan to do a 3 course meal. We liked the cabin feel and it was plenty warm on a cold night. Beds were super firm (if that's what you like) and some of the sloppy mudding in the bathroom made the tub look dirty but it really wasn't. No shampoo, conditioner or body soap so be sure to pack your own. For the money, it was a good value and would stay again if I'm looking for an economical option for the family.

Such a beautiful place to just unwind and relax! The cabin was immaculate, beds were comfortable and everything we needed was there! Definitely a must for anyone looking to just get away!

A cabin in the woods is always a good fit in my opinion! This is a cozy cute, well kept cabin. The owners had rescently aquired the property, which also has other cabins around. The cabins had the 'old names' still in the driveway. The owners have re-named the cabins, which we didn't realize. We came in when it was dark and didn't see the NEW names that were on the actual cabin. ( no lighting on the outside of the cabin) This created quite a bit of confusion! I believe this is something they will iron out, but it wasn't something that had been communicated to us. The cabin is dark because it is all wood, so the lighting in the bathroom is minimal. The beds are full size beds in both rooms with a twin bed in one of the rooms. I hadn't slept in a full size bed with the husband...EVER. haha. I am an 'active' sleeper; a full size bed made that a challenge. :) That being said, it is still a great place & I would love to rent again.
