Family-friendly vacation rentals in Franskraal

Together with my girlfriend we had a great stay! The hot tub and the braai are fantastic. Furthermore, all necessary facilities are available. There is plenty of wood and firelighters and the hot tub is even heated for you upon arrival. Communication also went very smoothly and they were very helpful! We got stuck somewhere outside the farm ourselves with our 2x4 car because we had taken a wrong turn. Uncle Willem's help came quickly, he pulled us out of the field again with his fortune.

Communication was smooth and timely, and the accommodation was just as described—clean, cozy, and well-equipped. It was the perfect escape from the city, offering a peaceful environment surrounded by nature. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a serene break.

The view of the ocean was unexpected and amazing. The back yard is sheltered and perfect for braai's. This house easily accommodated families travelling together. From this location you can do long walks, safe jogs and there is even a small little rock pool across the road where kids can play. Highly recommended.

Very comfortable villa in Voelklip, a short drive from the best Hermanus beaches. Outside Braai area is excellent with a choice of braai devices, and the outdoor shower was a highlight of grown-ups and children alike. For those with young children, just be aware that there is no enclosed garden so you will need to be on the lookout - although they will love the neighbourhood cat and the tortoises roaming the garden! Also no inverter so, other than the internet, load shedding will cause total power loss in the house (though gas hobs are helpfully immune). Therese couldn’t have been more helpful, very responsive and always resolving whatever we needed. All in all wonderful stay and would happily return

Perfectly wonderful charming home with delicious French flavour, clean and comfortable. Spectacular outdoor space with interesting and well tended garden. Loved the quiet evenings on the back veranda listening to the frogs and crickets. Cold splash in the "Hot tub" great fun.

The cottage was fantastic, beautiful setting with great privacy. You have a whole dam to yourself, walk in the vineyards, relax in the wood fire hot tub under the stars. No complaints, but do not plan to cook a lot of meals, the kitchen is small and washup area, we lit a braai outside and that was perfect. Definitely would recommend and return.

We had a wonderful stay at Leatitia’s place. Leatitia welcomed us warmly and we felt extremely relaxed and comfortable during our stay. The location is top class…walking distance to all the beaches within the Voelklip area. Long lazy afternoons enjoying the garden and Braai area. The snooker table was a wonderful fun addition. Waking up to a sea view was a treat, but the real surprise was discovering a cupboard full of old board games and puzzles I remembered from my childhood. We had such fun playing together as a family. Long beach walks, friendly chats with locals — it all added to the charm. It’s not fancy, but it’s full of heart. A magical spot by the sea, perfect for making memories with the kids.

Lovely home with excellent location close to the cliff path, Grotto Beach and Dutchies. Kitchen is very well equipped and caters to a lovely relaxed atmosphere and vibe. We had a great time however struggled with the sun in the mornings in the bedrooms with thin/shear curtains waking us up much earlier than we would’ve liked.

We really enjoyed our stay , Breathe Cottage is really spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed to make our weeks stay very enjoyable. It’s in a great location, very private yet very close to the coast for some lovely walks. We would highly recommended it and hopefully we will be back sometime next year.

Esther is a gracious host, very hospitable and helpful, and the apartment is very nicely situated, a short walk to the Cliff Path, beaches, and amenities. We felt comfortable and safe, and enjoyed all the conveniences, including a "braai" outside om the patio and a washing machine in the garage :-) Were we to return to Hermanus in the future, we would definitely like to stay there again!

Had the best farm stay. One of the best equipped places I have ever stayed at. The sunsets are beautiful and the walks are lovely. This place is perfect if you have a doggo. Lots of space to run in the encloses yard and some lovely swimming spots.

Elsja made sure we were warmly welcomed - Christmas decorations, gifts for our dogs and some fabulous treats for us! This is our 2nd holiday at the house and love the large rooms with plenty of light and fresh air - easy walks to the beach and the mountain. We will be back! Thank you.

What a gem!! Well equipped, large and comfortable home in an excellent location. We had everything we needed and the host and co-hosts were just brilliant. There was only one item missing from the listing that we needed, but as soon as we let the co hosts know, the issue was rectified and had no impact on our stay. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back as soon as we possibly can! Thank you so much!

We very much enjoyed our stay with Debbie. She gave us a very warm welcome and told us about all the rescued animals she keeps. The cottage was well equipped, is in a very peaceful location overlooking the stream at the bottom of the garden and has an excellent rain shower. We would definitely recommend Debbie's Airbnb to anyone contemplating staying over.

Such a beautiful and tranquil flat! I couldn’t take my eyes off the stunning big waves. Garth and Terese were incredibly welcoming and kind—they even baked us a delicious sourdough bread, which was amazing! Highly recommend!

Beautiful unit in a fantastic location to access all that Hermanus has to offer. Very well equipped kitchen. Wonderful views and right on the access to cliff top walking. Easy to walk to town and restaurants. Secure parking inside. Just be aware apartment is accessed via stairs. No problem for us but something to be aware of.

An extremely well located and resourced family home for a holiday. Would love to have stayed longer in this lovely location. A home worth returning too

A true gem! We absolutely loved our stay at Kari’s rondawel. The view and location is perfect - and the lush lawn out the front of the house puts it a notch above the rest in the area. We loved our stay - we will be back!

Beautiful home, very private, top class - it has everything one could want. Magda provides clear explanations and is a pleasure to deal with. We really enjoyed our stay. I would recommend to anyone.
