Spectacular outdoor spaces with multiple garden view seating areas and three outdoor fire pits to enjoy. When you book with us, a portion of the rental cost goes to help support human rights advocacy. This well appointed cabin with a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom essentials in place, a small travel bag and excitement is all you need for a wonderful getaway or a new place to work from home. Note: -No pets allowed. -List all guests & ages when booking. -No parties. See house rules and Covid-19 travel restrictions. You have access to the entire cabin. The cabin sleeps up to 5 people. You must let us know if occupancy is above two. Housekeeping will note if additional cleaning and laundry is necessary. There is a queen memory top bed in the master bedroom. Two twin memory top beds in the guest room. The place can accommodate one more with an air mattress or the sectional in the living room. The pricing is set for 4 occupants based on seasonal pricing. THERE IS AN UPCHARGE of 25$ per person with a total cabin occupancy of 5. Your safety and the protection of our property is a priority. The outdoor space is peaceful, open and spacious. There are steps with code compliant rails. However, we do have a rock wall overlooking the first gravel drive. Walking on that path is your own risk. We do not recommend children unsupervised on the property. The cabin is not child proof and may not be suitable for children under the age of 4. Please inquiry prior to booking. People other than those in the guest party must have a permission of the hosts to visit. We, the hosts, are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises. The hosts are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guests. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises. It is advisable that your vehicle is equipped to handle mountain roads, preferably a four-wheel drive. We have exterior motion detection lights to guide your path and exterior security surveillance on the property. The entire cabin is yours to use. Guests need to establish ETA an hour prior to arrival to make sure the house is guests ready. Guest must also check-out via text an hour prior to departure. We will meet you or for late arrival, will send an activated code when you arrive. I will make every effort to communicate through email and text about check-in. It is important to me that your stay is as comfortable as possible. I want all of our guests to feel at home. Rest assured that I am a phone call or text away. Cabin is on private large lot with stunning woodlands around. Its location is peaceful and secluded-minutes from Boone, 15 mins, Banner Elk 12 minutes, and Blowing Rock 15 minutes. The long incline drive to the cabin sets the tone for beauty. AWD car in snowy conditions is strongly recommended. Must be able to navigate mountain roads. We have multiple parking pads to access the cabin and have designated guests parking. Plenty of parking directly in front of the house. It is advisable that you drive a 4 wheel drive car that can handle the terrain in and around the area. Most especially when snow is in the forecast. Paris road is a single private drive. There will be times where an incoming vehicle is on the same road. It is best that you back your car and allow the passage to avoid getting your car stuck in the culvert or tear-up the gravel drive. No pets or smoking allowed in the house or on the premises. People other than those in the guest party must have a permission of the hosts to visit. We, the hosts, are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises. Watch the goats play or listen to the birds and read your favorite book. You'll find kittens peering at you from the old french doors. With 10 acres and a gazebo in our large private park just a short walk to the Watauga River, you'll have plenty to do. We are a quick 7-mile drive to App State football games or concerts. In the winter ski or tube any of the four resorts an easy 10-14 miles away. Located in historic Valle Crucis (between Boone and Banner Elk), this residence is the entire lower floor of our recently renovated Carriage House. Access to the floor is via a private 100 year old custom oak double door at the front of the building. It is unlocked with a unique code on a Nest lock. The upper residence of The Carriage House is also available on AirBnB (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/17944509) as a separate rental. We have installed extensive sound proofing between the floors but you still might occasionally hear a little noise. Our family lives in the historic farm house nearby and is available as needed. Most of the furniture in the residence is original to the property or the area. At 1,200 sq ft this two bedroom, two bathroom features two queen beds and one queen sized sofa bed. It has a fully stocked kitchen including Keurig coffee machine, stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and kitchen basics for six. Apart from the antiques, everything is brand new. Additionally, the residence has a 50 inch flat screen television in the main living area. With the attached AppleTV, you can access your movie or music libraries via your Netflix, Amazon, or other related account. Keep in mind that internet is spotty in the mountains and our cell phone coverage is poor. You will have access to the entire Shull's Farm, including river front access to the Watauga River... just a short 5 min walk away. Explore the granite cliffs overlooking the river and valley or enjoy tranquil walks through the pine and spruce forest. The chicken house is a favorite... just follow the path behind the white house. Occasionally the chickens free range. At the chicken house you'll also meet our Great Pyrenees working dog, Bella. She is learning to guard the chickens but will soon be promoted goat guarder. We can easily accommodate two cars in the driveway. We live on the property and are available as quickly as you need us. We'd also love to tell you about the area, give dining recommendations, or things only locals know. However, if you prefer solitude, we provide keyless entry to the unit... just message us if you need us. We are a 10 acre working farm, with approximately 400 yards of Watauga River access. Access is a 5-10 minute walk from the Carriage House and includes a gazebo near the water. The fishing is great! Located in Valle Crucis, near Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock, the Carriage House was used for horses on a farmstead 100 years ago. The Orignial Mast General Store is 1-mile away and the Blue Ridge Parkway is an easy drive. For a map of the farm visit: http://shulls.farm/ We have easy access off a county maintained road. No need for a 4 wheel drive vehicle during the winter to enter/exit property.

Riverside-Cheerful Cabin located on the River

This A Frame house is perfect for a mountain weekend getaway. It’s in a great central location in The High Country. Located right off 105 in Foscoe (just between Banner Elk and Boone). Easy access from the main road. Located on the Watauga River in a wonderful neighborhood. This house is my primary residence that I am renting out on weekends. So please note the house is lived in and fully stocked. You will have the house to yourself. The Watauga River is located just off the back porch.

'Herb's House' is close to Grandfather Mountain, Profile Trail, Hiking Trails, Blue Ridge Parkway, Skiing (winter), Boone (10 min), Banner Elk (10 min), restaurants, great views, parks, art, and culture. You’ll love my place because of the location, mountain charm, & cleanliness. The home is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). Herb's House is pet-friendly, but we prefer well-behaved pets. There is a basement apartment below this home.
