Vacation rentals with a kayak in Fightingtown Creek

I’m tempted to write a bad review so more dates will be available when I’m ready to come back. This was our 2nd visit and it was great again. So much to do without leaving the house. Fishing, kayaking, volleyball, badminton, ping pong, foosball, fire pit, board games, etc. Great price too! The only problem this time was that the WiFi was a bit spotty, even after a couple resets. Probably for the best though! Looking forward to our next visit soon hopefully.

The place was great!! No issues. My son brought a friend with us, and the loft area was perfect for them. 2 teenage boys acting like they were kids again!! Definitely will be staying there again in the future. Thank you

This is our second time staying here for new years and it was great as usual. It is very peaceful at this property. Very clean and perfect for our group size. We would stay again.

I enjoyed this place 100%. Clean space, some privacy, extremely peaceful. Matt was super proactive in letting us know of the current events that could affect our stay, such as open fire bans. so therefore we could not use the fire pit. However, We enjoyed the scenery, the hot tub, the grill and other outside adventures. I would highly recommend staying here & I would definitely book with Matt again during a different season!

I can't say enough about Lisa's home! It had everything listed and more. The thoughtfulness in the little details made this the best experience we have had with an Airbnb. This home is beautiful and the amenities at the lake were perfect. Our family had a wonderful week and hope to do it again in the future.

We had a great stay at Bethany’s place. She was extremely responsive and helpful with any questions we had. The perfect peaceful location away from the city while still be a quick drive to all the area attractions. Would stay with Bethany again for future visits to the area.

We had a very relaxing stay. Enjoyed the covered porch and views the most. Didn’t get a chance to use the jacuzzi or fish, we were busy with family events in Sweetwater, Madisonville and Hiwassee River Wedding venue. Would return again and next time just stay put at the lake. Had all the comforts of home.

We spent Easter weekend here. As we drove in the wild azaleas and dogwoods were blooming, and everything afterwards was just as beautiful and peaceful. My teenagers loved kayaking and my daughter liked the pond so well she slept on the daybed on the porch. I appreciated the feather pillows and reverse osmosis water. Attention has been paid to every detail. I called my Nana to show her the antique desks. My small children enjoyed the toys and my middle son using the pully bucket on the porch. My daughter celebrated a birthday over our stay, more movie guests showed up than expected and I just couldn't turn these kids away. Our hosts were so kind. They of course charged a little extra as was clearly understood via the contract, they were very understanding and polite. The lock to the boat seems to be jamed, the downstairs fireplace is currently non operational, and I'm not sure I'll get back a thumb drive I forgot, but this family has worked hard to create really special place. Five star

This is a great little house close to the lake for a getaway. The beach area was really quiet during our stay and is a short walk from the house. Just be warned, it is down a path with a section that is fairly steep, so may be difficult to carry all your lake gear to. The house was very clean and well stocked including a range of toys for multiple age groups which was a huge amenity. My only critique is the upstairs air conditioner (located in the master bedroom for the whole upstairs) did struggle a bit to keep up with it being hot and humid. The second bedroom was a little warm even with the box fan provided. Overall though, this was a great vacation getaway rental.

This home is in a gorgeous location right on the lake. There is opportunity to hang out outside or inside, depending upon weather. It was in the 30’s and rainy when we were there, the home was very cozy. It was too wet for the fire pit. The dock would be great for spring and summer hangouts. We fished by the lakeside on the last afternoon when the sun came out. Saw a couple of deer every evening and morning. Lots of restaurants, shopping, grocery nearby. The beds were comfy, linens clean, house was clean, heater worked. I would stay here again.

Gorgeous all around. We all agreed it was one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed at. Views from the house and access to the water and the outdoor dining area were splendid.

We came in for a fishing tournament on Lake Lanier, this house was perfect to park a boat and get a great nights rest. It was convenient to several boat ramps as well as plenty of places to eat. Highly recommend staying!

This cabin is a true gem. The location is great as it feels quiet and woodsy but isn’t remote or hard to find. The cabin is well appointed, super clean, and comfortable for two couples even though we only used one of the bedrooms. The kitchen has everything you need and quite a few things you may have forgotten. I’d definitely recommend this cabin and being pet friendly is a plus. Our golden retriever thoroughly enjoyed it and the quick 5 min drive to Hemlock Falls.

This was the best place! We don't live far...only about 30 mins away and we stayed here to have a private vow renewal ceremony with us and our children on the lake. Michelle was so sweet and very helpful. Her place had everything you could want to do! Everything is very thought out at the cabin. I wish it was open this summer when I have vacation time at work because i would stay all week. PERFECT spot to relax, unwind and enjoy nature! 10/10 recommend!

Roger is an exceptional host, he went above and beyond to assist us when there was an issue with our online booking. Cabin was very clean and had great views. Definitely plan on visiting again!!

What a remarkable cabin! Amazing place with so much to do and so many amenities. The scenic views of the lake cannot be described. We didn’t get on the lake, but neighbors in the community did and it looked like a lot of fun. We spent a lot of time in blue ridge and we love it there with all the great restaurants and shopping. The cabin is very convenient to down town which we liked. Next time we will be coming back to Michaels place. It’s one of the best airbnb’s in the area for sure!

Most beautiful cozy cabin ever. If you are a sunset lover like me, this cabin will give you that and more. Absolutely loved my stay here.

Ashley’s place was great. It’s flooded with natural light and very open. The furniture and beds were super comfortable. I especially enjoyed the outside area. We have a cabin in the area but needed to book an extra cabin for our extended family. It was a great idea. Hopefully if and when we plan another family vacation, we will book this cabin again.

My family has stated at this location numerous times since 2018. Situated on a small man-made lake in Cherry Log, the setting is very serene. We've stayed at a few of the cabins surrounding this lake and we generally prefer this location. The current owner (Corey) took over in 2021/2022 and has maintained the charm of the cabin and has made some upgrades (new furnishings, games, improved kayaks, and I believe an improved firepit). His communication was top-notch when my wife had a question about the location upon arrival. We would definitely look to stay again in the near future.

Beautiful and cozy little place right on the river!! It was exactly what I was looking for in a weekend getaway. My husband and I enjoyed it very much!! The nice little patch of “green grass” and the levelness out front was perfect for our little Yorkie. I absolutely loved the decorating and how every inch of space was utilized so well! My husband enjoyed a moment of fishing off the deck and we thoroughly enjoyed the s’mores that were left for us! Sounds of the river were amazing; I really can’t say enough good things about this place. The location was perfect and 3 miles to get to everything in Ellijay! The extra special touches really added up and we would love to come back again sometime!
