Family-friendly vacation rentals in Featherston

Had a great stay at Kerry and David's house. They were both so welcoming and thoughtful and made sure we had everything I needed. They do all the extra little things that make the stay extra special such as great communication, drinks and treats in the fridge, and good wifi. The location is great, easy walk to Pauatahanui which is a charming village with great walks or a small drive to Plimmerton for the beach.

Suzanne was amazing to deal with and their home is stunning! Super clean, lots of space, incredible garden, and lovely hosts. Highly recommend

Thank you Tania. Absolutely perfect for my daughter and I. We are country lovers so this couldn’t have been better for us. Loved looking at the horses out the window / door. Loved the sounds of the birds in the evening and the morning. I got a little confused finding the cottage at first as I went up the left driveway to the main house, not the right driveway. But was able to get hold of Tania promptly and she was able to redirect me. This is a beautiful rustic type cottage with the space really well thought out. I didn’t mind the kitchenette in the bathroom. Obviously as long as you keep everything sanitary as you use it it’s not an issue. Kind of the same situation if you were to stay in a caravan everything is close together amenities wise. Was nice and warm and super cosy. Would absolutely stay here again. Thanks so much for your kind, friendly and inviting hospitality.

Characterful and spacious home. Walkable to the square and loads of cafes, restaurants and boutique bars. This house has everything you need, and we were welcomed with breakfast supplies too! Highly recommended. We’d love to stay again.

Such a beautiful location. We got married at the landing at home bush and this was just down the road. Such an amazing property. Toby and Chris were so easy to deal with and even went out of their way to accommodate to us which we are very grateful for.

Gail’s place was a real gem, a rare find. Gail has anticipated your every need with not only having the basics all covered, like beautiful linen and a squeaky clean cottage, but also so many additional items that made us feel right at home and relaxed. The kitchen was really well stocked with a delightful range of herbal teas and all the crockery and utensils we needed to cook dinner. It was so neat to have chickens greeting us in the morning. Gail was a generous and genuine host. We look forward to planning our next trip back!

Had a great stay at David's with the partner and young dog.. treats on arrival were a nice surprise plenty of firewood. push bikes were a bonus. easy check in and easy communication with David.. house was tidy with plenty to keep entertained with local information provided. was perfect location for what we were after for a short trip. morning trip to Morrisons bush. lunch and drinks at the wineries. night out at a few bars in martinborough, finished with some whitebaiting out the coast of Lake ferry. cheers david

less than 5 mins drive from beach. Quiet and is a home away from home. lovely cafe around the corner. close to all kapiti coast beaches and short commute to Wellington. great kitchen with all the utensils and good BBQ. Beds were comfy. highly recommend a stay here.

Great house for a group of friends, heaps of outside games and board games. Very well set up, the house has absolutely everything you could possibly need. Great hosts

staying on a real Farm with newborn calves was amazing too. and in good weather the Garden table was beautiful for breakfast.

We had a lovely stay at Wharepuni. The fire was lit for us and it was beautiful and warm when we arrived. The beds were beautifully made up and very comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. The lounge was very comfortable and cosy. It was a perfect location for our event in Porirua and Ged was an extremely helpful and friendly host.

Loved this beautiful cottage good escape away from the busy life… beautiful views on the outside deck and listening to the bird life was lovely… would defiantly be back again… thanks for having us!!

This is our third time staying at Miri's place - it's great, very comfortable, well-appointed and we really like the layout and design of the house. it's cosy and warm and in a great location so we love to stay here.

Absolutely stunning house first time in Martinborough and we enjoyed every minute of it. It was picturesque and luxurious and worth the amount we paid for it. The hosts were amazing and made sure that our stay was very comfortable and that we had no issues. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone that is looking for a quiet weekend away. The location was amazing as well as it is very close to a lot of the wineries.

Lovely place to stay! My whānau and I really enjoyed it… the setting is just gorgeous, so quiet, picturesque, and tranquil. The studio is compact and well equipped. We didn’t realize the queen bed is in the living space but it wasn’t a problem. Our daughter slept in the kids room and enjoyed having a “big girl bed” (bunk bed) all to herself. She loved the chickens too. Close to Patuna archway and Martinborough cycle tours. Would definitely recommend. 👍

We had a lovely time staying at Ruth and Grant (and Ollie the dog)’s air bnb. The pool and spa setup is awesome! It’s private and peaceful. We’ll be back next summer

Neil and Heather were wonderful hosts - so welcoming, helpful and friendly. They made us feel like we were family. The loft apartment was beautifully appointed and the beds super comfortable. And our children loved the pool. We would stay again in a heatbeat!

The photos don’t do this house justice! It’s so beautiful inside and out, really close to town and local wineries, and great facilities including the pool etc.

We stayed 2 nights at Jan and David’s place over a long weekend, while we explored the area and visited Kapiti Island (for the first time, it was great). The accommodation was exactly what we were looking for. Stylishly presented, very comfortable, an excellent ensuite (great shower). Jan and David were excellent hosts - very obliging ang welcoming. Would stay there again and recommend their place.

Very spacious guest house. Located in a cul-de-sac it is very private and quiet. Great location – only a short walk to town. Having a swimming pool on a hot day was a real benefit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Tracey and Niels home is beautiful and we had a wonderful stay. The house is comfortable, well equipped and lots of lovely areas to sit and just chill. The pool and the games room as a bit hit with the kids. We had our wedding anniversary there on New Years Eve and it was a perfect place to host a memorable event with friends and family. Would recommend it to everyone looking for somewhere close to the beach and local shops and restaurants.
