Our clean & cozy cabins were built a few years ago in a private wooded area. Central location *4 minutes north of the New River *. Near ALL activities, rock climb areas, & 15 min to Gauley River/Summersville Lake. Cabins are furnished, full baths, kitchenette & sleep up to 8 ( 6 twin beds on 2nd floor & 2 twin beds in a common area (push together for a King). Also heat/AC. The Vandalia House is located on our 300 acre farm bordering The Gauley River National Recreation Area with direct access to both the Gauley and Meadow rivers. A gorgeous home in a stunning & private location. We have private trails, access to rivers right here on the property. Close by there is whitewater rafting, mountain biking, boating, golfing, climbing, & fishing. 20 minutes to outstanding restaurants.

Nice country setting. You are 10 minutes away from the New River Gorge Bridge and all that Fayetteville, WV has to offer. This includes, rafting, kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, zip lines, paintball, etc... The buildind was originally a barn and it was converted into an office in 2008. It has recently been renovated into a 4 bedroom and 2 bathroom rental. The kitchen is well equipped, new appliances, and granite countertops. The patio is 14x45, screened-in, ceiling fans, and TV.

The Alamo is iconic - my group has stayed here multiple times. If you have a group going rafting or exploring NRG NP and doesn’t need anything super fancy, the Alamo is a great value. Hosts are always great to work with and location is convenient to everything.

My wife and I had a great stay at the Tiny Home. We came to the area for the New River Gorge National Park and it was super convenient being so close to the bridge portion of the park. We were slightly worried about being so close to US Highway 19 at first, but taking either a left or right turn didn't take nearly as long as expected and from the location of the tiny homes, the traffic noise is low. It is important to note that the Tiny Homes are decently close to each other, but you have your personal space around your campfire ring for camp chairs and the picnic table. Finally, I was pleasantly surprised by how peaceful the Tiny Home area was, including a large variety of birds that made you feel much closer to the woods. The Tiny Home meets that perfect middle ground of a camping trip without losing the luxuries of a hot shower or utilities.

Cabin 10 - Black Bear Abode- Hot Tub & Fireplace

Our group of six adults and three kids had a great time at Cabin 10 (Black Bear Abode). The cabin was easy to find and check in was a breeze. We found the cabin to be clean and comfortable, and felt the listing was generally accurate. The owner, Jonathan, was responsive, as was the caretaker, Sam. The location is secluded and private, and we enjoyed having the Carnifex Ferry Battlefield State Park within walking distance. We cooked most of our meals at the house, and this worked out well for the most part, though if you are very particular about kitchen necessities, you may want to bring some of your own pans and utensils. Note the lack of dishwasher, as mentioned in the listing. A/C and hot water worked great, as did the hot tub. Minor quibbles were the lack of good outdoor furniture for sitting around the fire pit and that the gas grill was in poor condition and basically unusable. Also, though the cabin was generally clean, it could use a deep clean. Good value for the stay!

Had a great stay here. Cabin 4 definitely seemed like the best of those on the bottom, as it was tucked away at the end and felt more private. The navigation instructions in the owner's message were spot on, although google maps did a good job of getting us there. Things were clean, and the cabin was in a nice wooded area. The stay is also only about 10 minutes from everything - hiking, restaurants, etc. You can hear some highway sounds, but it's still wooded enough to feel nice, and the highway sounds are the price of being so close to everything. Overall a nice place to stay for a few days!
