Waterfront vacation rentals in Far North District

Long Beach (Oneroa) is one of our favourites spots in Aotearoa, but we’ve never stayed right there until now. Sheree and Nicole’s pad is exactly like it says on the can! Even though weather was overcast and drizzly, we swam and paddle boarded with a dolphin family for company and lived the moment. Enjoyed the ambience of the absolute waterfront location with the sound of waves at night. Being hosts ourselves, we notice the small things that make a point of difference. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed with a few nights here. We’ll definitely be back. Recommended.

Great place in a great location. Exactly as advertised.

One of the things that’s hard about finding a place in a new place is the sense of relative distances. We were further outside of town than we had expected, but man was it worth it. The views down to the bay were spectacular. And being from the northern hemisphere, the night sky is of particular interest. We were lucky with high pressure, so being just far enough outside of town gave us breathtaking star gazing. Jo was so helpful in making suggestions for places to see, quickly able to help us prioritize based on the way we roll, a good mix of walking and driving, a wonderful resource and real hospitality pro. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Great location, amenities and amazing view. Our family had a wonderful time walking Paihia, the quaint shops, eating out at the various restaurants and enjoying multiple water sports all within walking distance of the suite. Definitely recommend and hope to return to this magical part of NZ.

Amazing spot! The view is incredible and we felt right at home. The bed was comfy and the kitchen is well equipped. My husband enjoyed the quality of the Samsung tv and we both loved waking up to hearing the waves crashing.

We loved the studio apartment and beautiful view. The place is super clean and has everything we needed for a short stay. We received very helpful checkin instructions from Jane and she and David were very friendly and provided several recommendations of local restaurants and things to do. The porch has a beautiful view that we could have spent all day on. Definitely wish we had stayed longer and highly recommended.

The home was cozy with the fireplace and tasteful upgrades. It felt like a friends home instead of a rental. The railroad path is accessed by a steep trail from the yard. The driveway is steep but easy to turn around with an average sized minivan. What a lovely area to explore and this home is a great base to come back and relax and curl up to watch a good movie from the cozy sofa.

Lovely place, friendly host! We had a wonderful time!! We recommend this beautiful place to everyone who is in the area.

Excellent location with nice views of the harbour ... bach was well equipped

Neil’s Waterfront House is great for boaties in particular, and fishing with a great set up including cut-up station and wash down in the front and back of the house . There’s even a seperate cooking area in the garage for shellfish. As a bonus, Neil lends guests his swipe card for access to the Swordfish Club just a few steps away. The kitchen in the house is well set up with more than everything you could possibly need and Neil is very generous with all the extras. Bed was very comfortable and views from master bedroom and front of the house look straight out onto the water. Access to the beach is directly across the street. Neil also has a very sweet cat who comes around in the evenings for cuddles. Highly recommend this awesome Kiwi bach.

Lovely older well maintained home. Clean and comfortable with plenty of room to spread out. Right on the beach. Who can ask for anything more. Never tired of listening to the sound of the ocean. It did have a very steep driveway but we were able to turn around carefully in front of the garage with our mid size SUV. So didn’t have to back down. Pak’nSave in Kaitaia for supplies. Highly recommend.

Always enjoy staying at Chester and Louise’s, super friendly hosts and very flexible. Would stay again and recommend when staying in Paihia

Great spot next to the beach.

Everything about this place is magical. Don’t hesitate to stay if it’s available. We spent 6 wonderful night and wish we could move in forever. The view is spectacular! Mark is responsive and friendly/easy to deal with.

A lovely home with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Come for the home stay for the view! A spectacular vista, from the Whiria Pa, across the harbour to the golden sand dunes. Also, a great selection of books to while away the hours 🙂 We had the generous bonus of using the down stairs spa as there were no guests. perfect!

The Otehei apartment is just as listed - beautiful with luxurious & comfortable furnishings! The apartment is super clean. It’s one of those places that make it hard to leave and go about your daily activities, as it’s many windows and skylights create a bright & relaxing space. Very clear instructions for arrival & easy check-in.

Very clean and tidy apartment in a top location. Everything we needed was there and Melanie 2s super helpful throughout. Would be keen to go back.

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM
