This is the second time celebrating Hogmanay at Jessie’s Place, the accommodation is lovely and cosy, well fitted out and having parking is an added bonus. The property is situated just out of the busy town, but within easy walking distance to great restaurants, pubs and shops, is very peaceful with fabulous beach walks on your doorstep. Caroline always very helpful and responsive to any queries, even left a bottle of Prosecco and chocs to welcome in the New Year, which was much appreciated!

We loved the property. Very spacious and well equipped, especially the kitchen. It was a nice touch having the Christmas tree! We also loved the location and enjoyed the tranquility of where the property is located. Hayley was responsive responding to questions and would love to stay again sometime!

Ideal location, this annex was spacious, very clean, with a great shower & bathroom and a very comfy bed! This was our second visit, and although the weather was awful , there were plenty of places to visit nearby. Being near the A1 meant it was easy to get around, yet we were never aware of traffic noise even though we like to sleep with our bedroom window open! The White Swan at the end of the road does fantastic food, so we were able to eat there a few times. We had a problem with getting the heating on, and Ian was immediately on hand to sort it.We wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Old School annex for a stay in this wonderful area.

We, a family of five, enjoyed wonderful four nights in the lovely House on the Hill which was exactly as described. A great plus was the tennis court, that was very well received by our children. Walking the dog was a great experience. We used the farm cottage to explore Scottish Borders, Northumberland and of course Edinburgh. We would certainly come back and highly recommend this lovely place!

Cosy and ingenious use of space. Loved the thoughtful decor and the fabulous selection of books. Within easy walking distance of shops and the lovely Milan restaurant.

We were three couples in our 50s /60s away for a long weekend. House was a great entertaining house for sitting in the evening having a drink and listening to music. But great location for a day out to St Andrews, a coastal walk down to Pittenweem or just coming out in Anstruther. House was fab, fantastic rainfall shower in upstairs bathroom, 3 huge bedrooms and plenty socialising space between the two living rooms/ dining area and patio areas. Would definitely recommend this house.

We had such a relaxing time at honeymug, such a cosy place and the kids loved playing with the great variety of toys and enjoyed a variety of mini cereals and croissants left out by John, that was very kind, thanks! So many local walks, cafes, castles, coast and to top it off a hot tub and swimming pool. Very recommended, we'll hopefully be back.

We had a relaxing stay at Pebbles. Situated in a very picturesque park overlooking the sea and the wind turbines which I felt were quite mesmerising! The park itself has everything you need from entertainment, pool and restaurants. The beach was fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed the rock pools and scenery. Lots to do in the area especially if you like castles and history. We would recommend a stay at Pebbles.

We had a great week at Haggerston Castle. The lodge itself was in a superb location, a short walk from the main facilities. It was private, quiet and spacious inside. We would definitely book again!

My partner, our dog, and I had the most wonderful stay at this Airbnb. It was the perfect location for a relaxing getaway, offering stunning views and complete tranquility. The property itself was immaculate and beautifully decorated to an incredibly high standard—it felt so luxurious yet cozy. We especially appreciated the thoughtful little treats left by the owners—it’s those small touches that made our stay feel even more special. The location was ideal too: just a few minutes’ drive to the local village, which was perfect for exploring. Overall, everything was absolutely fabulous, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful escape in a gorgeous setting!

An absolutely lovely place to stay and not too far from a beautiful beach 😊

Tumbler Rocks was just as described. Just a short stroll across the dunes to the beach and an easy walk into Seahouses town. The house was very well equipped with everything you would need for an enjoyable stay. We stayed as a family of eight with two dogs and found it had ample space for all of us. Dogs enjoyed their early morning walks along the sandy beach and with the outside hose, paws were easily washed down! Plenty of eating places in the town and as a Coeliac found an excellent chip shop, Italian restaurant and Indian restaurant who could all provide gluten free choices for both sitting in and take away. Anthea was very approachable and helpful in answering any questions we had prior to and during our visit. Thank you for the use of your house for our family break.

Wonderful property a stones throw from the beach. The seascape is constantly changing over the day , and there is an abundance of wildlife visible from the front door. Cottage was warm and comfortable and well equipped. Easy communication and check in . Friendly pub next door !

We had a great stay at Samieston lodge. It was really clean and felt homely with lovely views of the countryside and a comfy bed. The garden was the best and most secure that we have had for our dog and was big enough for him to have a good around in. We found some lovely walks and some great places to eat near by

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the house had everything we needed and it was very clean and tidy. Pam looked after us and our pooches, she even baked for us which was lovely. She also kept an eye on our pooches whilst we went out for a meal which was great. The location is great for exploring and walking, there are so many beautiful places to visit, we will definitely be back. Thanks again Pam.

This is our second stay at Diane’s and it won’t be the last. The location right on the English Coastal Path is spectacular, and the place is surrounded by lovely villages. Our stay could have been disrupted by the storm sweeping across Scotland/Northern England, but Diane was extremely flexible and allowed us the arrive / check out later than planned to preserve our weekend. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay and as others have said, the apartment was spotless and very well equipped, Elaine has thought of everything you may need. We felt describing it having a garden was a little misleading though as there is no grass. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, lots of treats! we didn’t have a doggy welcome pack as others have described though, but we had packed for him so not much of an issue. Great situation near the river & walk to a gorgeous beach, especially handy if you have a dog. Warkworth is a lovely place!

From the moment we booked, Jackie has been absolutely lovely and helpful with directions and what to see in the area. Any questions we had, she was happy to answer. The flat is immaculate and comfortable, with many books to read by the fire or board games if we didn't want to watch the tv. There was a lovely welcome card, bottle of apple juice and shortbread left for us when we came. And in the guest book, we enjoyed both reading and seeing the story of how doodles den came about which amplified the 'homely feeling' we felt there. Bed was comfortable and warm with plenty of storage in the room. I particularly enjoyed the big deep bath after walking many miles along to fife costal path. Both the flat and area is very peaceful and lovely to walk at night. We are hoping to come stay again next year and thank you for having us.
