This was a solid choice for my brief stay to enjoy the bio bay and beaches. The room was clean, the hosts helpful and nice. Walking distance to lots of great restaurants, the beach, and snorkeling and kayaking kiosks for the bio bay. Good music scene on Sunday nights. Great sunset spot.

Amazing place, easy to find, right next to a bar and walking distance to a beach. Lively area. Hosts were super helpful and offered to print some stuff out for us when struck by a problem. They do not provide a real blanket though, so if you get cold at night, you might want to work something out before arriving. We froze all night, and the rules on the door state you cannot turn the AC up because the room gets musty (it does). Otherwise great stay and SUPER easy to taxi to.

I definitely recommend staying here as this is close to all the restaurants and beach. Stay is just as described. Check-in for room is easy. Host was super helpful with replying to our questions instantly. Host sent local information, taxi contacts, vehicle rental contacts and things to do in that area. If you are planning to go for bio bay tours this is the best place to stay within walkable distance from the pickup spot. The street is happening at night with music , Jewellery sellers, Henna tattoo artists and many other restaurant options. Within the property, they have Orchidea Trattoria & Pizzeria restaurant which has a really delicious pizza - must try place. One can easily hire taxi from ferry terminal and reach this location in about 15 minutes.

Location is perfect! We wish we could have stayed here another night. Darla met us up the road so there was no confusion. Checkout time is early but she allowed us to borrow beach towels for the day and use a locker. The large soaking tub was such a treat after a long day of travel. Great stay!

Tradewinds was a great host! This was the perfect spot for us in Vieques. Things were clean and the food at the restaurant was great. We were able to walk to other restaurants in Esperanza easily. Even though we travelled in February, we were glad to have AC- this was the perfect spot to get out of the heat for the afternoon. What I will say is this: if you are expecting to stay somewhere like an Embassy Suites, expectations for Vieques need to be different. We loved our stay here but it was not like any hotel we have stayed in before- not a bad thing, as it matched description perfectly and gave us a place to shower and sleep. Just a small warning however that the plumbing/ water pressure is weak and the walls are thin. This is not a problem 95% of the time as the restaurant closes early, but someone had a screaming kid on our last night and we couldn’t get any sleep. This isn’t Tradewinds fault by any means, just a matter of our experience. We’d stay here again 100%. Loved it!

It's a very quiet place and above all, Don Manuel behaved in an incredible way. He was a very attentive person, he was always aware of us and always tried to help us, very kind. I felt right at home, if I return to Vieques I am 100% sure that I will stay in the same place.

Darla was a beautifully hospitable guest who welcomed me into the space with good details and a patient walk through. The spot is right next to the ocean and walkable to most places on that side of town. Highly recommend especially for a port of a few days as you explore the island. The twin bed was a little tight for me but I made it work. Go for it!

I booked this place on the ferry for a very last minute trip to vieques. Edgardo is responsive and helpful! The room is as pictured - spacious, good ac, comfortable bed, and very clean. I met a family member (Edgardo's mother I think?) who also stays on this property and she was kind and sweet. Check in/out process is smooth. Shower doesn't get too warm but on a hot day the cool water is refreshing anyway. Meant for short stays where you'll be out all day and need a place to sleep and wash up. Room faces the street and can get noisy if you're a light sleeper. Not much late-night food from what I could see. Location is no more than a 10/~15min walk from the ferry terminal. I thought the price per night was decent given how last minute it was but I do think - generally speaking - it is on the pricier side for what you get. Then again I am not familiar with the pricing in Vieques and could be mistaken. Bottom line: Edgardo's place is a good overall for quick and minimal trip
