We all enjoyed our stay! We loved that we were greeted coming in! I enjoyed chatting with the host in the morning and enjoyed spending time playing with the dogs with my children. We loved the farm and serenity it provided. Would stay again!! :)

We came to see the Sandhill cranes in Kearney, Nebraska. The house was close to everything. We did a lot of walking around the neighborhood. Joey worked really hard on this property. He is proud of his work and it shows. He thought of everything. We enjoyed our stay and would return. We contacted him for a few little things and he got back to us immediately. Everything worked out. Thank you so much.

We had a great time! Was a great place for kids to stay big backyard and also great for pets! If you are wanting a fun weekend stay in Kearney this is the place to stay. The instructions were clear and easy. The home provided everything needed for a fun, relaxing stay.

This place was everything my family and friends needed for a weekend to get together. Between the sea themed decor to the outdoor views. It was perfect. Anita is very kind and made sure we all felt welcomed! It was perfect place for us adults to relax and the kids to play and have fun. Overall 10/10 experience! Highly recommend

This was the perfect place to stay for 2 couples to arrive for an early morning (6 a.m.) viewing of Sandhill Cranes at Rowe Sanctuary. The place is quiet with two comfortable bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. It was more than spotlessly clean - it shone with careful maintenance. The heavily used Union Pacific rail main line is only 2 blocks away, but the whistle sounds were not disturbing and welded rail means that there is no clickety-clack. The sleeping was fine. An altogether wonderful place to stay.

The house was amazing had a confrenece while we were in town and the house was a great way to relax afterwards. You can tell the details that went into the property. Very much set up to be as accommodating as possible, tvs everwhere, plenty of games, nice quality furniture and beds, ameneties like the grill and hot tub, and overall exactly what you would hope for in an Airbnb. Expectations were laid out very nicely. Neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. If I was ever in Kearney with a group again, this is whwre I would stay.

King’s Kottage - Prime Sandhill Crane Location

We loved having our own little "hobby farm" as a home base for lots of crane viewing -- including the surrounding fields. 10 minutes to the Rowe Sanctuary, 5 minutes to Gibbon with great food at the Arise and Grind, close to Kearney for a night out. The house was squeaky clean, well supplied, very comfy for just hanging out and so spacious. We hope to return for another Great Migration, and stay at Ron-Shannon's place again.

What a gem! If you want to actually "get away" while having a spectacular view, perfectly equipped lodging, distinctive touches, and hosts that exceed all expectations.... this is your place. The photos are completely accurate. You ARE that close to the river! April drizzle kept us mostly inside looking out the kitchen greenhouse window while using the binoculars to check out the feathered friends on the sandbars. Everything you'd need in a kitchen (and more!) is close at hand. We even got to enjoy the very cozy stove in the living room with its cute flickering flames. That paired with scrumptious kolaches and sourdough bread from the Dannebrog bakery were a an ideal combo. If it were just the surroundings, the wonderfully equipped house, and well-written instructions you'd be hard-pressed to pass on this spot. But, Dan and Susie are absolutely the nicest, most responsive hosts EVER. Completely and whole-heartedly recommend if you want to stay where people CARE about you & your trip.

Stayed here 3 nights for a derby at the fairgrounds. Would recommend this place to anyone. Really nice location! Holly was really great at communicating with us and went above and beyond as she had a pack and play set up for us when we got there for our little one and even told me there was a baby gate to keep her from going down the steps if we needed it! Holly really had thought of everything. I liked how there was toiletries in the shower already and that she had a coupon board with coupons from local businesses., there was also cold bottled water in the fridge for us. The decor of the house was really cute too and it smelled so good in the house! Really felt like home! I would definitely stay here again and probably will!

We had a wonderful time staying at the cottage with our dog. The cottage is small but had everything we needed. The place is beautiful and quiet and we had plenty of space to walk our dog while visiting the vineyard. The breakfast, delivered to our door step, was plentiful and delicious as were the appetizers we tried at the vineyard. We enjoyed the wine tasting and ended up buying a few bottles that we’re taking home. Finally, Barry was a wonderful host, very responsive and helpful. We also met Mac, Kip, Doris and her mom who were all very friendly and we enjoyed talking to them. We highly recommend the cottages and hope to return sometime soon.

Very cute and homey! We were in the area for the annual Sandhill crane migration so did not spend a lot of time at the house. But it was lovely to come back to such a charming house and comfy beds after a long day of birding. The light sleeper in our group did get woken up by the nearby train tracks but not so much to not want to come back next year.

The spacious wooden deck offers seating options, including chairs and a table, overlooking a manicured lawn with mature trees and water views. The serene outdoor space provides a perfect setting for relaxation and enjoying nature.
