Cabin vacation rentals in Elk Park

We didn’t want to leave! It feels like a rustic tree house, with the wide porch boasting a plethora of rocking chairs; the gorgeous wooden soaking tub perched on the hill up a steep set of stone steps and surrounded by layers of green leaves filtering the sunlight; the mountains peeking through the foliage; the easy access to the beautiful river and its abundance of excellent throwing stones (a child’s delight); the quaint kitchen and its adorable gas stove; the cozy river rock fireplace; the sweet homey touches like books, board games, art supplies, extra blankets, provisions in the cupboards, and fruit and pastries provided upon arrival. Theresa was so very kind and accommodating in her communications. We loved everything! A note: if you plan on cooking a lot on the stove and are finicky about pans as we are, maybe bring your own as there’s only one nice cast iron (and the wonderful griddle). And if your stay forecasts rain, bring ear plugs—torrential rain on the roof makes a racket!

We stayed here while it snowed in early December! It was great to have a getaway and be near Sugar mountain, where we went skiing. It’s also right near grandfather mountain and Boone. It’s quaint, simple, and there is a hot tub!! It feels homey and the view is beautiful.

Private, quiet, cozy! This is our second stay in the cabin, and we feel so lucky to have found a great place in a location that suits our needs exactly. My husband likes to hunt; we both love to hike! This cabin is within 30 minutes of Lake James and the gorgeous Linville Gorge with tons of breathtaking trails to explore. Don't be scared of the steep gravel drive - just hit it with confidence and a little speed. I can't say enough how private and quiet this location is. The hot tub is so relaxing, and thoughtful touches like soft, warm outdoor lighting make it a pleasure into the evening. Speaking of thoughtful - the cabin is stocked with everything you need to whip up a quick meal with pots and pans and basic spices. Toiletries are better than most places, and there are plenty of towels and bedding. Wifi worked well, which is important since my cell signal wasn't great. It was really helpful to research surrounding activities. Hope to return soon!

The place was beautiful and perfect for our family weekend of tree hunting and holiday festivities! We cannot wait to return to this cabin next year. Wonderful location and so cozy! Five stars for sure!

Place is exactly as pictured. It’s a sweet cabin on a very private road with amazing Mountain View’s. Walk or run distance to amazing hiking and running trails. Easy drive to ski or do other outdoor adventures. Lots of books and games as well in the cabin both for kids and adults. Everything you needed was there. We loved our stay and will definitely be back! Mountain View’s, fire pit, hot tub!

For our first family vacation in the mountains, Cozy Bear Cabin was the perfect place! Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and game room, the scenery was beautiful, and we watched deer walk across the front yard each morning. Hope to enjoy this location again someday!

My husband and I stayed at the Husky Hideaway for our second time and had a great time. It’s a good location and the cabin is a perfect size for two. We brought our two little fur babies this time and they also give it a 5 star😎.

Great relaxing stay, Good proximity to eateries and shopping. Close enough to venture out to Beech Mtn, Boone, Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis. Comfortable furnishings & Clean. Nice back covered porch on a stream, would be great in the spring/summer!

Sandy and Fain were great hosts and answered our pre-visit questions. Cabins are very private and well maintained. We will visit again. We came in mid-November and were very warm and cozy.

Very, nice clean cabin. We had a wedding in Banner Elk so the location was great. We enjoyed the cabin being so close to Grandfather Mountain Winery too. Only suggestion would be more lights near the driveway and outside. The timer on outdoor lights was off. Overall a great stay.

Definitely a 5 star experience! Peter’s Airbnb housed our group of Hurricane Helene volunteers. It was within driving distance to Spruce Pine and in a beautiful area. The house was wonderful and clean! Peter was great to work with. We’d love to come back just to visit the area and this Airbnb someday!

We stayed at Angela’s cabin for a wedding we attended right down the road. It was very cozy, clean, and comfortable. The outside creek was beautiful. Wished we could have enjoyed it longer as we were in and out the entire stay doing wedding things. We will be back!

This was the perfect home away from home for Thanksgiving. It honestly was even nicer than the pictures, and The kitchen was stocked better than my own kitchen (so now I’m shopping for kitchen items I didn’t know I needed). It snowed while we were there, which allowed for some fun sledding, and the property manager quickly came out to shovel and Salt the driveway so we could safely get in and out. We all agreed that we would 100% book again if we were visiting the area in the future.

The house was BEAUTIFUL inside and out. Clean and Cozy. A little tough getting up the steep road to the house in a van but we made it but We had a great time. Sitting on the deck and just listening to the birds and the peace and quiet was so relaxing. My parents are getting on up in age and they love the mountains and we made some precious memories here. Tamara and Steve were very responsive to a minor problem and it was corrected very quickly. Thank you Tamara and Steve. And of course we enjoyed the Antique stores in West Jefferson. Although West Jefferson could use some good restaurants. Not much to choose from. We loved Hillbillys for breakfast and lunch but there was not much to choose from at supper unless you went to a bar or pub. At 85 Dad & mom didn't care for that. Other than that we had a great time.

This place was just what I was looking for. Easily accessible, very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. Host was awesome also.

I had a wonderful experience staying at Cozy Creekside Cabin. The property was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, and the neighborhood felt safe and welcoming. I felt right at home throughout my stay. I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I would love to come back someday!

Beautiful cabin. It is very cozy and feels like your home away from home. It can be a little chilly but will warm up quickly with a fire and space heater. We saw deer outside the main bedroom on our first night and could watch the birds nesting in the trees from the deck. We also had a great view of the stars on clear nights. You can hear the creek across the road but it looks like it is on private property so we did not go exploring. The cabin is in a very secluded area so expect a drive if planning on sightseeing. Activities in Burnsville can be found between 10-30 minutes away and the closest hiking with marked/easy to moderate the trails was located about 45m away in the Pisgah National Forest or along the BRP. I would especially recommend staying here when daylight hours are longer to allow for not just sightseeing, but also for spending time out on the deck in the cabin. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The nature surrounding the cabin is pure magic, with a gentle creek running right outside the cabin and beautiful nature walks/trails just outside as well. The cabin itself was rustic and cozy,--the pictures don't do it justice! This particular cabin (Galax Glade) was a little difficult to heat in the winter, but a extra space heater is provided to compensate, and did the job well. Would absolute stay again!

This is one of my favorite places I have stayed at in the mountains: amazing views, great deck, cozy, clean, has all the essentials. Abigail was easy to communicate with. We will be back!
