Cottage vacation rentals in Elan Valley Reservoirs

My partner and I had a wonderful stay. Hosts were very friendly and helpful, checking in to see how we were getting on! In all honestly we didn’t need much from them at all as they’d left lots of information as to how to find the place, key, and additional details left in the house as to pubs, walks etc around. Cosy and gorgeous little cottage with lots of privacy and completely quiet, would 100% recommend for a country getaway. Place was clean and tidy. Kitchen good size and well stocked with pots pans and cutlery and dishwashing soap/tablets. They also supplied firelighters and matches for the fire, and loo roll (this was only a few rolls but plenty for our two night stay) I recommend bringing everything you would need with you to cook with (oil salt pepper) as well as all your toiletries although there was hand soap. There is a nearby services station (5 mins)with the essentials however if you forget anything! Would happily stay again with friends or just the two of us!

We came away for a couple of nights for a quiet recharge after Christmas. Debbie met us as we parked up and gave us a little walk around and some helpful tips for our stay. We were left with privacy but knew if there were any problems we'd easily be able to contact for help. Everything was clean and tidy and decorated beautifully for Christmas so it felt lovely and cosy. The bed was really soft and we had no trouble sleeping. We've never used a log burner hot tub before but it was easy enough and we had a relaxing evening enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Thank you 😊

Dawn was incredibly communicative and kind from the very start. I booked for my girlfriend's 30th birthday and everything was perfect. The attention to detail at the place was beautiful and it was amazing to hear of how it was Dawn's lockdown project, which she built herself. I had a special request to see if we could have some other family come for drinks one night after the birthday dinner and Dawn was very obliging, even giving us an extra table from her own home. Couldn't recommend Dawn's place enough - it's stunning and the hot tub was superb!

Our stay at this beautiful cottage in Wales was absolutely wonderful. The rolling hills, peaceful countryside, and fresh air made it the perfect escape from everyday life. The cottage itself was cosy, clean, and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was the hot tub, where we could relax while soaking in the stunning, idyllic views—especially at sunset. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring the nearby beaches. If you’re looking for a tranquil retreat with picturesque surroundings, this cottage is the ideal choice.

Such a lovely place, Carolyn was quick to pop round make sure we was settled in showed us how to use the hot tub and was quick to reply to any questions I had. The place was amazing and I can’t complain at all, plenty of space for just two of us can’t recommend this place enough!

Really nice place for a romantic weekend away,tara was very easy to contact and nice,the cottage seemed a lot larger than the photos and was very clean on the inside,hot tub was lovely and kitchen had everything we needed,would definitely stay again and would recommend!

We stayed for two nights at this lovely cottage home. We absolutely loved the cottage and would definitely recommend if you were looking for a nice peaceful getaway close to the town. Of course the hot tub was probably the main standout feature, but everything was great about this place and we loved it that much we have already been looking to book again later this year. Little additional features like the underfloor heating are a perfect finish to a lovely cottage stay. Definitely recommend and the hosts are extremely helpful and responsive.

Karl was a wonderful host. We had a fantastic time staying at the cottage. The surroundings are beautiful and there was plenty to keep the kids occupied!

Our Christmas stay was fantastic. Emma even decorated the house with Christmas tree and lights. We loved that. Place is quiet, in a fabulous location. Mum needed somewhere to stay for a while as she was having work done on her house nearby and Stephen’s place was ideal for her. It’s so cosy and has everything you could need. There’s a pub close by and a shop. Stephen and his partner went out of their way to check on mum during the recent bad weather and communicated really well with me which was massively reassuring. Mum loved her stay and felt like she was on holiday. Highly recommend Stephens place for a getaway.

What a fantastic place, full of thoughtful touches (towels & blankets for the dog, lovely welcome basket of goodies) and a great place to spend a few days walking along the canal. The whole house has been beautifully renovated with underfloor heating and wood burning stoves downstairs, comfy beds upstairs, and a well-appointed kitchen with everything we needed to cook during our stay. 10/10 would recommend!

We had an absolutely brilliant time at Sharon’s lovely house, it’s a tardis much bigger than it looks in the photos and very homely. Fantastic location, very central for the majority of pubs and restaurants. Sharon was very helpful with recommendations for the local area and left us clear instructions so there was no issues. Highly recommend staying here.

I can only echo all other reviews. Rachel met us upon arrival and was extremely friendly, helpful and informative. The cottage is perfect in every way and you can’t fault anything, other than our decision to only stay for two nights. We will rectify this and book again for longer. Please don’t hesitate to book this fantastic place, you will not be disappointed!!!

Lucy was so great, left us with a plethora of information about local pubs, walks and locations. She was incredibly understanding and flexible on personal circumstances we had. Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage was very clean and very well equipped. Carwyn and his dad were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a really lovely addition. Will definitely be visiting again when visiting family in the area.

Wow! A real gem of a cottage and location, everything you need was provided by Jacqueline, the cottage was spotless and modern a real home from home, the sea is literally a stone throw away, very quite surroundings but also close enough to the lovely town of Aberaeron, highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.

A perfect relacing break in a lovely property. Communication from Tom and Louise was great and the welcome treats were a lovely surprise. The hot tub and private garden were excellent and I made good use of them. A wonderful stay, I will no doubt return in the future.

Gorgeous stay in Little pudding. Google maps took us right to it. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Felt as though we were the only people in the world when we were there. Easy to nip to Elan valley for a stunning walk. Cosy, warm and quaint. The perfect Valentine’s romantic get away.

We had a great short stay in Peter’s cottage. It’s perfectly placed for exploring Gower and the Brecons. Also a good choice of pubs in walking distance.

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay in Serena's cottage. The log burner was wonderful, as was the underfloor heating in the sunroom. It was fun to cook on an aga. The location suited us well. It was a great base for trips to Hereford and Hay-on-Wye. Thanks for a lovely stay.
