Oscar's place is perfect, everything is super clean, the place is very comfortable the quick direction to get there. Oscar very attentive would be at his house again.

Great location!!! It was so fun to be able to walk anywhere in town rather than driving and trying to find parking I wouldn’t describe this house as ‘luxury’ but there was plenty of space, beds and pillows were good and the pools were a lot of fun

Great location with parking and plenty of room to relax. It took us a bit to find the house on day one, but Marvin was very responsive and was there to greet us. Appreciated having laundry facilities to use. A wonderful place and would definitely recommend to others.

We loved our stay! The property is beautiful and private, a serene hideaway in the rainforest while being close to La Fortuna attractions. We arrived later than expected and had to find the house at night, which was tricky. A helpful tip if you’re in the same situation: look for the driveway immediately after the bus stop on the left. The house was spotless, easily the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. It was well-stocked with everything we could need, including a Christmas tree! While the lack of rugs or wall coverings made it a bit echoey and sparse, it stayed wonderfully cool. The outdoor area was a highlight, with a fantastic space and a large table for dining al fresco. The pool was excellent and watching the wildlife was a treat, we even saw the sloth! One thing to note is the few friendly dogs who hung out around the property and marked the porch. While they weren’t aggressive, it’s worth mentioning for future guests. Overall, this was a fantastic place!

Beautiful place both the location and the accommodation itself. Norwin was super responsive, kind, helpful, all the appreciable qualities in a host. The house is only 15 minutes from the city center but located in a super peaceful area. We would highly recommend this listing. La casa Pura vida is aptly named!!

Josh was a wonderful host. He was very responsive and gave us a lot of ideas about the surrounding area. Feeling right at home, right away. We only wished we booked 10 days not five. Again... the many different birds all around us was cool. The pool was perfect along with the view of the Volcano. I'll come back in the future. We also loved that it was 14 minutes outside of La Fortuna. Which made for a very relaxing stay.

Great value with a convenient location and Daniel was a great host

This was a cozy place to stay. We felt like we were living more like a local here. There was no a/c but there were a lot of fans around so it was comfortable. It was nice to meet our host but we had a language barrier. We were able to communicate through the airbnb app since it could translate for us.

Very nice place, safe and clean. With a large pool and a very clean river. Everything is exactly as it's posted.

We had an awesome experience! The neighbourhood was safe, friendly, and walkable. John was very helpful, and his place was great - had everything we wanted (like the private pool) and lots of other extra touches that came in handy (like a blender and little cooler to bring to the hot springs!)

A very quiet place, private, with very good internet ideal for telecommuting. We were able to be with our dogs without any inconvenience, the ideal pool to relax. The hospitality of Gerardo and his wife is to admire, one feels like family and we gave ourselves the pleasure of trying the tortillas that bring us memories to the grandmothers. I recommend them to buy cheese it is very rich and worth it. We would definitely go back and even for more days.

Amazing stay on site. The surroundings, the house, the private pool, all excellent! You arrive and an attention from the host is waiting for you, details that make it worth to stay there. I would return without hesitation and more days to take advantage of the place

We had a wonderful five night stay at Oma's Haus. It was very clean, has a nice kitchen, good wifi, plenty of hot water, and lovely, well maintained property. Great location, walkable to everything. Despite being in town and in between the owners' home and Opa's Haus we had no noise issues. We felt comfortable and safe. We did not rent a car and were pleased with that decision. Taxis are available nearby throughout the day and the tour operators have pick up / drop off nearby. The pool was clean but chilly. Quite refreshing after a tough hike. We received quick responses whenever we had questions or needed assistance with anything, such as adding an extra night's stay, requesting a yoga mat or an early morning taxi, etc. The one morning that it rained, we could still sit out on our deck as it was protected from the rain. The family's dogs and cats were friendly. Also, having laundry facilities was great. We would recommend staying at Oma's house to a couple or a single person.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Beautiful place surrounded by nature. We loved the garden, hot tub and bbq area. Amilcar and his wife were so friendly and helpful a during our stay. It’s a perfect place for a couple or a four person trip. The internet was excellent, we worked online all week with no issues. Thank you to Amilcar for your hospitality! We will be back :)

Honestly the best bnb I have ever stayed at. Great pool, super clean, close to town, surrounded by nature. We saw Tucans flying over us as we swam in the pool, and parrots in the tree nezt to us. Host was really friendly and accommodating. The place is much bigger than I expected with plenty of room for the family and even a puppy. I would be happy to live here!

Casa Toucan was just what we needed-quiet, safe, private (gated all around and covered/blocked from the main road), clean, with the basic home amenities (internet, full kitchen, bathroom, on-site laundry) and more. I was visiting La Fortuna, travelled 5 months pregnant from the US. Anthony made it very easy to check in and check out and even accommodated our request to check in early with an early cleaning fee, which we were happy to pay. There is Netflix and an outdoor pool which was nice to simply float in and be immersed in agua y sol. Anthony was responsive when needed and left us alone for the most part. Thank you for sharing your space!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we highly recommend both of the nearby sodas for a delicious and authentic meal. The beds were comfy, and one of the bathrooms was wheelchair accessible. The kitchen was well-appointed, with coffee provided. We really enjoyed sitting out on the patio in the evenings.

Sleeping in a treehouse with the possibility of monkey visits was our kids dream... and this stay made their dream come true. The house is located in a beautiful and peaceful location, but it's not too far from the center of town either. The house was clean and the bathroom was beautiful. I subtracted 1 star because the listing had mistakenly indicated that there were more beds than there actually were, so this was a surprise when we arrived with our kids, but we made Laura aware, and hopefully it is being updated. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Monteverde. It is so much more peaceful than staying in town, and the visit from coatis and capuchin monkeys in the morning was a highlight! We loved the comfortable hammocks as well.
