Nature eco lodge vacation rentals in Ecuador

Grand Selva Lodge is a fantastic choice for the budget-minded traveler who wants to enjoy the forest, have food available on-site, and a knowledgeable host who can help arrange transport, activities, etc. Karin was very friendly, and even catered to my daughter's food preference during our dinner. The night walk was fun, though it felt a bit hurried. That being said, for the average traveler it would be a fun hour of wildlife engagement, so I would recommend it. I'll stay longer next time, and hope to get a better handle on trails/access because I wasn't super clear on those options this go-around. Thank you, Karin ( y familia) - we will see you again!

100% recommended place to rest and get away from everything. The service was very friendly, always attentive to resolve any concerns. I would definitely come back.

Great breakfast! Room was clean and staff thoughtful. Walking distance to downtown Baños or about $2 by taxi. $3.50/kilo for laundry service which can quickly raise a bill. We paid $17 for a small bag of groceries. All in all, the service was quick and well done. We recommend for families!

The entire Polylepis Lodge team was welcoming and available. Accommodation was as described, the only downside was the lack of Wifi. The food was great and the place was very well maintained, all in a beautiful setting (the El Angel nature reserve).

Beautiful spot on the beach. Kind hosts who provided a lot of thoughtful amenities. An extremely comfortable stay on the north Ecuador coast, which can be difficult to find. I will come back!

Wonderful place!!! very quiet landscape beautiful landscape. Francisco, the owner, is very kind, hospitable, and very attentive. The facilities are very nice and very clean.

I loved the place and the waterfall was beautiful in daytime and spectacular at night with the lights. My only suggestion was the pillows may need to be in sun during day—-because of close to waterfall—the dampness left a slight mildew odor….William was VERY responsive with help!

thank you so much! sleeping with sounds of river water and birds chirping was so lovely. the place is simple but has everything I needed. the breakfast was delicious. the host of the accommodation Antonio was very friendly and showed me the garden and organized me a jungle tour at short notice that could not have been better. the pool is very nice is a view of the stars a nice end to the day. thanks for everything. I recommend to you.

This was a lovely experience for "glamping" in the countryside, on a property with beautiful rivers for swimming. The hosts were personable and accessible. They helped to arrange delicious and well-prepared meals for breakfast and dinner, served with care. There was someone on the property at all times to help, even to build a fire in the evenings. Recommended especially for family groups to relax and get away together.

Carlos and his staff run an absolutely lovely establishment in the middle of a beautiful area close to the Cotopaxi national park. Carlos is extremely kind and friendly, the ultimate host. Our room was tastefully decorated and had an amazing view of Cotopaxi and the intervening valleys. The hotel's grounds are also lovely, with several walking paths dotted with wildlife as well as the establishment's enclosures of friendly horses, which can be taken for beautiful rides through the countryside at very low cost. The kitchen offers a simple and traditional menu, carried out with care and style - it was truly delicious, and we gladly ate there both nights. The complimentary breakfast was also delicious! We would highly recommend Balcón as a launching pad to anyone wishing to visit Cotopaxi and the surrounding area.

Beautiful lodge for nature lovers and bird watchers. The private beach by the river was a real treat!

Had the most wonderful stay at Suchipakari. Made me feel right at home, very clean, quiet and relaxing. Definitely would stay there again! Met such amazing connections there too

Good place to disconnect from the city, nice area with an excellent view of the lagoon. It has all the amenities, the hosts were attentive at all times.
