Vacation rentals in East Grand Bahama

This Airbnb in the Bahamas is pure paradise! Every room has stunning views, and the double doors open to a spacious screened-in porch, with part of it open to enjoy the ocean breeze. The outdoor shower, foot-washing station, and bathroom are super convenient for rinsing off after a day at the beach. The house has everything you need—grill, kitchen essentials, spices, plus paddleboards, kayaks, and fishing gear. You could stay here all week and be perfectly happy. If you want to explore, rent the host’s Jeep. The Blue Hole, Owl’s Hole, and the national park are all within 20 minutes and are amazing. The manager met us at the ferry with the Jeep, took us to grab groceries, and showed us around the house, making sure everything went smoothly. We even got to leave the Jeep at the ferry, which made checkout easy and let us visit Paradise Cove and grab a bite in Freeport before heading home. This house and the experience were absolutely perfect!

Great stay!

The perfect spot for a little DIY bonefish vacation. The High Rock community is quaint and welcoming. Both Bishops and High Ground restaurants are well worth a stop!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Luther’s place on Sweetings Cay!! Everyone was so amazing and friendly! The place is beautiful! It is right on the water, with lots of amenities, and you can even catch fish right from the deck. Luther and everyone were so helpful and we can’t wait to return!

A great place in a great location. We chartered a boat to pick us up from the public dock and it took us straight to the beach by the property. The place is big, great kitchen, fully equipped, with great AC. There are bicycles to ride the 2 miles into town...that in itself was funny. Kayaks are there to travel up and down the coast. At low tide, you can walk out to the sand bars and see rays, starfish, all sorts of fish. Nothing much in town, but we brought all our supplies so we didn't do without. Any one wanting to have a true Bahamian holiday on an island should stay here. The unit can sleep 6 comfortably and the beach is right there...a great trip, and recommended to all

I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting to get away for an amazing relaxing secluded beach getaway! The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need and then some. The beach is gorgeous and totally secluded, you can walk for miles and not see anyone! For the week we were there we saw 1 person walking the beach and 1 fishing boat go by. The sandbars are huge and make a massive area you can cover snorkeling, wading, swimming and shelling and still be in shallow water the entire time and the water is crystal clear. We stopped at the grocery store on the way to the home after we landed and only left the house twice because we couldn't get enough of the amazing beach we had all to ourselves! We were a little nervous about the cars driving on the opposite side of the road but there's very little traffic, much of the roads are divided and they've done a great job marking the roads with arrows everywhere. We plan to visit again next year!

We loved loved loved this place! It was beautiful, peaceful and perfect for our family vacation. We had 6 adults and 3 kids (age 2,8,10) and it was absolutely perfect. The location is in the middle of nowhere which I loved. But maybe plan to get groceries if you can before you arrive - after a long day of travel we were starving- but went to LJ’s High Rock restaurant and it was lovely and great food! LJ was amazing and we became fast friends! He was very responsive - one morning our rental car was dead and he came in 15 minutes and gave us a jump. There is plenty to do on the island- (I would skip swimming with the pigs but put Lucayan beach on your list) but our favorite days was just spent at the house- waking up to the ocean. Swimming in the pool. Kayaking the beautiful crystal clear waters. And walking the beach for miles collecting conch shells. Beautiful beautiful beautiful. We will definitely try to plan to be back! We really enjoyed our stay at Sandra’s place! Its quiet, right at the beach, our kids loved it. House is really nice but matrasses on beds or beds should be replaced, it was making a lot of noice with the smalles movement. Kitchen had everything we needed, both bathrooms are great. There is no wifi, we did not check it during booking, something to double check for the future. But putting it all together- awesome place if you live peace and quiet.
