Family-friendly vacation rentals in East Cook

Rick’s place was clean and comfortable with amazing views of the lake. I stayed with several friends and we all had our own private space to relax or gather in the living room by the fire or on the patio. So nice to have an attached garage and check in was easy and smooth. Rick was very responsive if I had questions. Central location to all the north shore trails.

We had a wonderful time! Great location for our extended family with kids/babies ages 1 mo. to 5 years old. Lots of great winter activities for everyone, highly recommend!

Everything about this airbnb was great! We enjoyed the location next to Lake Superior, and then its location on the north shore made it easy to make a day trip to Grand Marais and make stops along the shore. Our only complaint for the Airbnb was the lack of parking. There was not assigned parking spots, and we only got a park spot of the nights we stayed.

We loved the space. The location right up against the lake was stunning, it was great for getting to Lutsen Mountain, and it was a short drive into Grand Maria’s. We’ll maintained as well, and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our time here. They had it fully stocked with coffee, hot chocolate. Nice refrigerator; bedrooms were wonderful. And, of course, BlueFin was great! Perfect for a quick stay at a wonderful location.

We really enjoyed our stay! The lake view from the living room was fantastic and the space is very comfortable. Access to hiking in the area is easy and the facilities at the resort were in great shape. They even have little boards with info on the areas history which we found charming. I'd recommend this space to anyone looking for an outdoorsy cabin vacation!

Perfect place to stay while taking a class at the folk school

The cabin is beautiful, peaceful, remote, inviting, very clean, and so comfortable! It was a perfect getaway for our family. Access to the sauna at the Lodge was wonderful. Very kind and responsive host. Thank you!

This was our 5th year staying at this cozy cabin. It is one of our favorite cozy weekends of the year! Close enough to Grand Marais to enjoy the town and close enough up the gunflint to enjoy hikes, the poplar haus, hungry jack, and more. We’ll be back!

Very nice spot and big home on devils track lake. Plenty of space for our group and great spot for snowmobiling. We will definitely back for another trip

We had such a peaceful trip and will 100% be back for a longer trip. The views are absolutely amazing, the lake is clean and beautiful. So quite and relaxing. Ely has some nice restaurants and we are looking forward to coming back to explore more.

Joan and Don’s place was beautiful and they were very responsive. Don built much of the place by hand which is impressive! We enjoyed seeing faint northern lights, playing board games at the big table, cooking in the chefs kitchen, and baking in the sauna by the lake. For a remote winter getaway with a large group, this is the place.

The place was beautiful. It was a perfect girls weekend. The host were wonderful if we needed anything they were right there to help and do whatever they could! Would definitely recommend!

What a beautiful, peaceful location! And can’t say enough about the amazing view. It felt like we had the entire lake to ourselves. It was too windy with high fire danger our last day to try the wood fired sauna, but we got it prepped and ready to go for whomever gets to stay at this amazing place next! A must do for us next time-wood fired sauna and then an amazing dip in the lake. We will definitely be back!

Two friends and I stayed here for Grandma’s Marathon weekend. The condo is about 30 minutes from the start, which worked out perfectly. The condo is exactly as described, directly on Lake Superior with the most gorgeous views from the living room and master bedroom. We loved that each room has its own bathroom and the fully equipped kitchen for making our own meals. The indoor pool and sauna are a very short walk from the unit and are very clean and well maintained. There is a bike path that intersects with the condo’s driveway, which goes along the water and is separate from the road. We would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!
