Secluded Bungalow with Kitchenette & Outdoor Patio

LaurenRating, 5 stars7 months ago
This little oasis was beautiful filled with flowers, friendly staff and cute animals! The hut was well presented, exactly like the pictures and we loved being able to use the kitchenette which had all the equipment we needed. It was lovely being able to relax in the hammock in our own space or walk over to the cafe to chat to other guests and get some yummy food. The description “escape to nature” is definitely accurate as there were lots of bugs! Definitely not the hosts fault as everything was very clean - it is just open to nature! The hosts were extremely accommodating and even offered us an air conditioned apartment when it became available as the weather was so hot! The apartment was equally well presented and extremely comfortable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would really recommend to anyone wanting to escape to nature :) Thank you once again

Rold&Roub (1BR w/ Common Kitchen for 2pax)

Awesome place to stay. We've booked this place on our last day of being stranded in Galera and Ms. Aubrey allowed us to checked-in early. They also allowed us to cook our meals in their kitchen. Ms. Aubrey also helped us to contact if the vessel trips were already resumed their operations. We had a great stay even we got stranded. The generator was also a big help to us guests. Kudos also to the staff. They were all accommodating.

La Querencia

FreedomRating, 5 stars5 months ago
A tropical getaway that has reefs on the private dock, clear waters, lush vegetation but is maintained thereby preventing overgrowth. The entire place is clean from the waters, walking path, and the bathroom. Kudos to the owners for building a house that fits it's tropical surroundings...from the stones of the retaining wall/stone path, the pool, the modernized bahay kubo that has an overall cohesive look. They even recycle and use solar. We came with 11 and there were beds to spare. the beds were comfortable. There is no AC. There are plenty of fans in the living spaces and rooms. The fans in the living spaces coupled with the open setup is comfortable and bedrooms are ok with the fans, feels better late at night. The service is 10/10 with attention to detail; the tailor mademeals were well done. We went snorkeling off it's dock and they provided snorkels and life vests that were in great shape. The pool was big. This place deserves every bit of the 5 stars we gave it.

House, Beach and Breakfast

The place is wonderful. Beachfront on a secluded area of Puerto Galera, away from the crowds and noise. The house is very spacious and clean, and the grounds are huge! The service of the staff is excellent, they took care of us really well. Will definitely come back, and will recommend this place to family and friends.

Felipa's Guest House (formly M/V MIRA) 2nd Floor

June RoseRating, 5 stars32 months ago
We were very happy with our stay at Felipa's guesthouse! We spent our 3 days 2 nights trip there very comfortably. The unit we were provided had a sort of loft type bed for two and two more beds were placed on the floor. We loved this setup because it was very comfortable for us 6 people. The TV was nicely placed in front of the beds so we had a good time watching shows that we brought in our USB. The kitchen had everything we needed: an electric stove, a refrigerator, a percolator, a rice cooker, utensils, and also pots, pans and glasses. The bathroom was clean and the shower even had a heater. The water pressure was strong most of the time, but occasionally, the water goes off late morning to around lunch time. The sink was a bit clogged but still very much functional. The toilet was clean (although there was a bit of yellow tint there that we think can be removed easily enough with some bleach) and there was a bidet. Kuya Edward, the caretaker, is very reliable and is easy to reach out to with his mobile number. He recommended to us places to visit as well as packages we could avail for island hopping and inland tours. He also took care of our registration for entry to Puerto Galera so that we could speed up the process of our arrival at the Balatero port. (For context, we took the RoRo boat from Batangas to Balatero.) One of the highlights of our stay was our dinner at the breezy roofdeck. Kuya Edward laid out a table and some chairs there so at night, we brought our takeout food there. There is an Andok's branch within driving distance so that was very convenient. And most important of all is that the place is pet friendly! Our little Niña had a great time. If we were to recommend one thing, it would be perhaps to invest in a microwave oven for the unit. But the unit is already fantastic enough as it is even without it. If given the chance, we would definitely love to be able to book this place again!

Beachhouse Udalo

JuditRating, 5 stars15 months ago
The property is gorgeous and a great place to relax! This cottage has the best view and balcony of the four cottages because it's closest to the beach. We appreciated the extra room with the small fridge this cottage has to offer. The only downside is the bathroom, which is rather small. I know it's common for Asian bathrooms to have the shower head pointing right at the toilet, but it's still a bit annoying. Ate Chanda is a great host on the property and very kind and helpful! The location is beautiful, with very few people on the beach. There are a lot of sea urchins right outside the property, so bringing aqua shoes is useful. To the left of the property there are no sea urchins and there is a beautiful location for swimming and snorkeling a ten minute walk away. Going to Puerto Galera is tricky and the boat drivers charged a large fee to take us there, so beware that this place is remoter than it might seem on the map. Overall, we loved our stay here and would love to return!

Necerita's BnB Tropical Retreat

GarfetRating, 5 stars57 months ago
Absolutely amazing venue. Stunning location and views to die for. The photo’s don’t do justice to the space, really is fabulous and felt very secure. Loads thoughtful extras, kitchen well equipped and everything is cleaned daily. Rod’s a gold mine of knowledge and can arrange anything you need from bikes to porters to mountain walks or just ambling around the huge grounds. Definitely will be back to enjoy space and warm hospitality of Necerita and Rod, thanks both.
