This is a beautifully appointed house in a very quiet bit of the forest. At the end of a track, so no passing traffic and you can walk straight up the hill from the house and find signed routes. There are lots of nice, comfy spots in the house to sit and look at the forest. It felt much bigger than the photos show. The fittings and furnishings are comfy and seemed new. The kitchen has a good set of equipment and nice cutlery and crockery. There was also a generous amount useful store cupboard food, such as oils, spices, coffee and teas. A good place to explore the forest from.

We had an excellent stay and only have positive things to say about this place—our whole group thoroughly enjoyed it. The property was clean, well-equipped, and very warm, which was perfect for our December visit. The private backyard was a highlight, especially for our dogs. Its location is very convenient, right on the main road, making it easy to reach Strasbourg and explore nearby Christmas markets like those in Colmar and Riquewihr. Highly recommended!

A clean and cosy house with the loveliest of hosts. The owners have been very helpful and kind, they even welcomed us with delightful home-made Christmas cookies and coffee. The house is situated in a small village within driving distance to beautiful towns and walking trails of Moselle and the Elsas.

We were in the Palatinate for a longer hiking weekend and were warmly welcomed by Sabine. We had a room with bed/table and a very large bathroom with sauna /lounge chair. That was a great surprise. On the last evening we also used the sauna and it worked perfectly. Sabine and her partner gave good tips for hiking huts and restaurants.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Pascal's place enormously. It was well worth it! The warm welcome, the good tour, the flexible check out,... everything was fine! Our daughter was also able to enjoy the large garden (the beautiful koi's, the turtle, the sweet dog, the swing,...). This stay is definitely recommended!

We spent a lovely weekend in Nathalie's beautiful house. Nathalie came by especially for check-in and check-out and was extremely helpful. As already written by numerous other guests, you immediately feel comfortable in the house. There were also some nice toys for our children. We will be happy to come back anytime.

We were there for one night. Late check-in (11pm) thanks to lockbox no problem. Everything was ready for us. Even water, coffee, butter and homemade jam was available. Parking is possible on the terrain. Apartment. impeccably clean. More than enough space for us as a family of 4. Communication always very fast, very friendly and informative. We will stop here again. Thank you Nancy and Christian!

Perfect accommodation for relaxing and great location to enjoy hiking and activities nearby! I celebrated New Year with 3 friends at Veronica's cottage. Everything was nice and clean, the cottage was complete, and there was a nicely decorated Christmas tree for us. The area is beautiful, and it is very quiet. Perfect for a week to find peace close to nature. Restaurants and supermarket can be prepared with a car, but not super close. We stayed in winter, then there is quite little to do in the region. We were super satisfied, and it was perfect for us to read books for a week, play games, cook, nature in, and be cozy with each other.

Everything was super.The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Even when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house, they quickly responded and were happy to help. Also when we couldn't get the fireplace to run, they were quick to help and swing by. The house is very modern and accommodates all the needs of adults and children. All the rooms had shutters that could make the room dark, making sleeping with young children very easy. From the kitchen, one could see the small garden, also making it great for also smaller children to play outside while parents could watch and cook meals from insid. All necessary kitchen equipment was available, even seasonings and oils! The check-in and out were very clear in description and easy to follow the steps. One tiny recommendation I would suggest is to be able to check out at 11 instead of 10.That would make the morning with small children a little easier. I highly recommend this location.I would come again anytime. thank you for having us!

We had a great stay! The place was perfect for our group of men who were hiking in the area. Everything went smoothly – from arrival to departure. The location was great, it was clean, and we felt completely comfortable. A small suggestion for improvement: The hot tub is more comfortable for two people, not really for four – a larger model would be great here. The kitchen could also use a small upgrade, especially if you want to cook more often yourself. Overall, however, absolutely recommended – we will be happy to come back!

Catherine and her husband are very nice people and were always quickly available and very helpful. We liked the place, it was very clean and tidy and we felt immediately comfortable. There was nothing missing and we were pleased that we could use the charging station of the hosts inexpensively and easily.

We had a wonderful stay at Caroline's. The highlights for us were the many games for the children, the festive decoration, the warm wood fire, the positive energy of the house and the calm of the place. Our stay in Birkenwald was a lovely experience. The cottage, located in a very quiet environment, is comfortable, extremely clean and very well arranged. Everything is decorated with taste. My family and I can only recommend staying with Matthieu who is an ideal host: friendly, helpful, welcoming, attentive, responsive. We'll be happy to come back to Birkenwald for a stay at La Grange.
