Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Downtown Kansas City

We have probably stayed in this property half a dozen times, a fact that may be the best summary review. The pros: professionally managed, always clean, good neighborhood with dedicated parking, big TV, fast internet and a nice covered porch. Walking distance to restaurants, and just a mile from Loose Park, a lovely urban park. The cons: the house is not very big, with two bedrooms and one bath. It is an older home and the wood floors creak when you walk on them. Our party is two adults and two canines, and it works fine for us. Overall, it is our go-to place when visiting Kansas City.

It was a wonderful place to stay. The house was spacious with 3 lovely bedrooms. I really loved the fact that I was so close to Shawnee so I could visit with my grandchildren and they could come and stay with me on weekends. I would highly recommend this place for others and I hope to come back and rent it again soon! Thank You

Emily was very responsive and accommodating! Her home was beautiful and very clean, which made us feel right at home. It is located in a very quiet area, but just a short drive from downtown restaurants. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area!

We had a great stay. The location was excellent for exploring the area and going to downtown KC. Any issues we had were dealt with quickly by the owners.

The house was great for our large group of 10, everyone slept comfortably, and had enough space. The kids and adults loved the property. We ran into one issue with the house that’s not even really worth mentioning because Loretta called a repairman and came up with a solution to the problem immediately. It was a lovely stay. My sisters appreciated being able to park their cars in the garage. I, being 6 months pregnant enjoyed having a downstairs bedroom with a large bathtub.

The home had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable. The hosts were accommodating, when we got stuck in a snowstorm. This was our second time renting this Airbnb and it was great both times !

Came in town with my kids for a Chiefs game. We enjoyed our stay and the area. House was great, exactly what we needed. Casy was super responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Absolutely the best Airbnb experience yet, Holly and Leo are excellent hosts. They were very helpful with the area of Missouri and with all the questions we had, on top of that everyone we talked to in the town had high praise for them. This place is one of a kind & has such a unique vibe. It was perfect for our family group of 8 couples. We had the full Kansas City experience. We found a murder mystery company to host a private Gatsby themed murder mystery party for just the 8 of us. We dressed up in 1920s outfits & had an absolute blast.

This was our second time staying at one of Ana’s places. And again we had a wonderful stay. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and the location was perfect. Ana is a great communicator and very responsive. We highly recommend Ana!! Thank again for everything Ana!!

Ashley is an outstanding and communicative host willing to offer wonderful suggestions upon request. This location is fantastic in accessing the city and all it's many great locales. Of note, this location is walking distance to Q39, Meshuggah bagels and other great bars and restaurants. I would be happy to stay here in the future.

We had a fantastic time at The Lodge! I had so much fun surprising my boyfriend with this Airbnb since it looks so different and plain from the outside and so cozy and magical on the inside. We were very comfortable and appreciated all the amenities, including the full kitchen and complimentary wine found in the fridge. Chris was incredibly responsive and accommodating. We had a really special trip, thank you!
