Family-friendly vacation rentals in Downtown Athens

Great place to stay for a UGA home game. Big front lawn, fire pit, jacuzzi, comfortable interior, and walking distance from the stadium.

The best BnB we have ever stayed in. Everything was extremely lovingly furnished and the entire house was really impressive. We had a wonderful time and contact with the landlords was always easy. The pictures in the ad do not reflect the true beauty of the property. Simply outstanding. We'd love to come back.

Our family had a great time in the peaceful setting of Down at the Farm. We enjoyed fishing in the pond and relaxing in and around the pool. The host was very friendly and welcoming. A great place to create family memories.

This was an amazing experience. I started communicating with John 13 months before my sons wedding to stay there plus host a large rehearsal dinner. ( it grew to 80 people!). John allowed - welcomed me- to come see the property to check out the layout for what I needed giving my caterer information and planning for our stay. I needed to move furniture and a few other things and when I asked John if it was ok, his reply was, “it’s your house”, and I truly felt that way. It was comfortable and allowed for my family to stay and as we had a few revolving guests, John provided extra linens. The rehearsal dinner was on a hot August night and I had told folks to bring a bathing suit. Several of the bridal party and friends jumped in! The animals were fun and when a few of the kitties jumped in the car when we were leaving we were tempted to steal them! Our caterer for that dinner and a farewell brunch lived the set up of this place as well. I honestly cannot recommend it enough! Thanks John!

This place is a hidden gem, close to all of Athens and not far from Augusta. Wingate is a great host, very responsive and has an amazing background as a photographer. Our kids loved the donkeys, the fish pond, and running around the property. The property has a grill, fire pit, disc golf, corn hole and various sports equipment. We loved our stay and hope to be back for a UGA/A&M game one day!

Really fit what we needed. Hosts introduced themselves on arrival and even graciously offered to mail a couple articles of clothing back to me I'd forgotten in a closet. For future guests, since it is in the back of the main house, can take a second to confirm you're at the right address. The place is simple (for example, no oven or stove but does have a hot plate/griddle) as listed. It is only 20-30 minutes to walk to lots of various shops and restaurants so while the house itself is in a neighborhood, close enough to walk to things and don't have to get in a car. As long as you're not heading south, which hits the main road pretty quickly, they are all pretty nice walks to places.

We had a great stay. Perfect location off the beaten path but still close to all that Athens had to offer. Perfect little get away for our family of four and the pup to catch a game at Sanford Stadium.

Great place, I have a lifted truck so it was pretty tight but normal cars will be perfectly fine. A lot of parking and very nice home!!

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Krysia’s art house!! She is so kind and friendly and talented, and we felt right at home in Athens for the weekend. The perfect spot that’s walking distance to the town, and the place is full of beautiful handmade and local art to appreciate, plus kitties!!! Everything we needed was right there at our convenience, and she’s very detail oriented and thoughtful in so many aspects. It was so much fun walking around the sculpture garden and finding her artwork around the town! I’d definitely come back here again.

The house and the property were great! It was peaceful and spacious. Jamaica was attentive and communicative throughout the rental. Would recommend.

A few words simply isn’t enough for this place. Carl is amazing, every single detail was covered. He provides everything you could possibly need, and he’s extremely accessible. The location was just perfect, walked everywhere. We will be back every year and cannot say enough about this place!

This was an amazing location. We we're at an event at UGA, and this location was at best a 5 minute drive there. There is a great shopping center right around the corner. We had our kids with us (12, 10, 8) and all the places we wanted to look okay we're within a 15 minutes drive. Jon was a great host, and was great to work with on the arrangements. I highly recommend this property.

I stayed here for four days with two of my kids one who is swimming at a state level meet at the Ramsey building. It was five minutes away and it was awesome. Two bedrooms with plenty of space and great little kitchen perfect for a dad and two kids to get in and get out efficiently. Communication with Neil was awesome. I had reached out before I had to verify that kitchen had some amenities that did and I was able to not only save money cooking tacos one night but also didn’t have to worry about bringing a frying pan from my home here in Atlanta. Also great Wi-Fi and streaming options on every television.

Only minutes away from Athens via scenic country roads. Easy access. Presumably the pool house of the host but felt private and actually never saw anyone else. Was a fall visit so didn’t use the pool though pool area looked fun.

Kay was a great host. Place was clean, comfortable, roomy, and well appointed. Close to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping. We came in for a Georgia football game and found the location to be convenient to Athens. Look forward to future stays. Highly recommend!
