Waterfront vacation rentals in Dover Beach

This location is a hidden gem and exceeded all expectations. Literally the beach is at your doorstep and is not crowded like other beaches. The flat is lovely as well as the gardens are well maintained. I loved it and will definitely be back and recommending to friends. Thank you.

Just back from 10 days in Barbados with 5 friends and cannot say enough positive things about our stay at Casuarina apartment. Our hosts Kerry and Nathan were amazing to deal with - they provided us with a very generous welcome pack with essential groceries, and also kindly organised some additional shopping to be there on arrival. Our flight was delayed but they waited until we arrived and provided loads of information about the area and what to do. Throughout our stay they were very responsive and proactive. The apartment was really spacious and having two large outside terraces was great. The rooms were also large, had ceiling fans and good aircon. We loved the neighbourhood, the local beach and proximity to Oistins. All in all a 5+ star review and we all hope we’ll get back in the not too distant future!

Lovely 2 bedroom/2 bath unit within the Glitter Bay property. The unit is under new ownership since we stayed there in March 2019 and its been completely and very well renovated since our last visit. White floors and comfy white living room and patio furniture, well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms, good washer and dryer — everything felt and looked clean and well maintained. Only downside is that there is only one tv in the unit, in the living room; with older children traveling with us, it would have been nice if the bedrooms had televisions and the one in the living room had been a bit bigger. The unit has a nice view of the property and a peak of the ocean from the wonderful enormous covered terrace. There was housekeeping everyday but Sundays and they did an excellent job. For those who haven’t stayed at Glitter Bay before, the property is on one end of a lovely 1/2 mile white crescent beach with relatively calm waters — think snorkeling vs. boogie boarding. Lots of water activities (jet skis, sailing, kayaking) are easily available or can be arranged at the Fairmont. A small bar/restaurant is on site during the day and there is a beach attendant who provides beach/pool towels and, with your input, assigns you lounge chairs for your stay so there is no need to run down to the beach early in the day to put your stuff on beach chairs to “reserve” them; there are also plenty of umbrellas at the beach to provide shade during the heat to the day. For those who like swimming pools, there is a good sized pool for laps and kids to play in as well as a nice kiddie pool. Next door is the very high end Fairmont Royal Pavilion. While not cheap, they have a good restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner which overlooks the ocean. Farther down the beach is the Lonestar Hotel and Restaurant. It also serves a lovely breakfast, lunch and dinner by the beach but is a bit fancier than the restaurant at the Fairmont and quite pricy. It is easy to walk about a mile or take the public bus/drive/taxi into Holetown. There is a very well stocked Massey’s Supermarket, for those who need supplies and/or want to cook while staying at Glitter Bay, as well as a liquor store. Limegrove shopping center has a number of upscale show and restaurants. Good restaurants in Holetown include Nishi, The Mews, and Fusion Rooftop, with Paul Owen’s Beach House just outside of town. The area around Glitter Bay is relatively low density and low key compared to the areas closer to Bridgetown or Oistens. We really love it and hope to go back to Barbados and stay at Glitter Bay #207 again next year.

Loved our stay (and the views). Great location with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Car not necessary. Thanks for being super quick and flexible during the booking process. Great check-in with lockbox. Would recommend.

We have stayed with Gene Marva multiple times and never tire of being in Bathsheba. There is little to do but enjoy the beauty of the area,it is a vacation not a trip.

We loved this tastefully decorated and restful Villa and have already booked it for next year. Chanel and her team were so helpful, proactive and caring. She even came to our rescue when our flight was cancelled and we needed to extend the stay. Pool was lovely and quiet and the people we met around Schooner Bay were very friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

Barbara, the host was hospitable, helpful, and attentive! She welcomed my mom and I, and really made the experience smooth! And the place is lovely....walking distance to Miami Beach! Wonderful deck where you can see the monkeys and listen to the birds. Bring your tennis shoes for the walk to the beach, or rent a car. The road is a little uneven. 10/10 would return!

Debbie welcomed us very warmly. She had even taken care to leave us bread, eggs, chips, and rum punch for our arrival. Of all the places we've done, it's the best equipped one. There were board games, snorkling equipment and there was nothing missing to cook. The living room and outdoor kitchen is breathtaking. The pool was really nice with the water temperature just quite hot and refreshing. There was plenty of fish to observe just across the street and with the palm tree there was always a chance to have shade. With the toddlers it was very convenient. So I would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be back.

Location - amazing. You can’t get better than right on the beach. The beach is about 1 km total, 250M to the East and 750M to the West. The beach is quite sandy out of the water but there are some rocks/reefs as you step out. The beach did have quite a bit of fresh broken glass but we didn’t get cut at all. The place itself was nicer than the photos. For the price it’s very nice. AC worked great, lots of linens and towels available. Good BBQ and kitchen. Oistins fish fry is a 3 minute walk. Masseys (grocery) essentially across the street. We didn’t have to leave the area at all. It’s on the main road. The main road is a bit busy and loud. But it’s Barbados. Everything good is on the main road, and the main roads are always loud and busy.

Our family enjoyed everything about this little Gem .. in particular our grandson who did not want to leave .. our beachhouse except to surf just outside the gate!! Was a perfect getaway .. big thanks to Chloe 👍🙌

We had the most amazing stay at this property! From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel incredibly welcome with their warm hospitality. The place was spotless, immaculately clean, and exactly as described – even more stunning in person. The host went above and beyond, even bringing us fresh mangoes during our stay, which was such a thoughtful touch! They also gave us excellent recommendations for local restaurants and things to do, making our vacation all the more special. This place truly felt like a home away from home, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

We loved the property and the location is absolutely breathtaking. You are waterfront with the most amazing views. Ruth was so accommodating and so super sweet as we landed very late, where no stores were open, she was kind enough to do some light grocery shopping for us to make sure that we had breakfast the next morning. Our family loved it!!! Looking forward to rebooking next!!

We stayed at Chris's place the first part of January. We had beautiful weather including a few hours of rain. The patio was a great place to watch the sunset as well as standing on the beach. The house was more than expected and when we come back we will book Chris's place again.

The property is a stone’s throw from the beach at Holetown providing great access to the beach life. Having access to the beach club is a great benefit when the property itself offers limited space outside for relaxation, which so clear from the photographs and description. The host was extremely helpful and responsive to all our questions whilst we were staying. Including arranging a hire car. Being so close to the restaurants and shops made decisions about food easy to make. It also means that you in close proximity to some Bars hosting late night parties that some guests may find disturbing although such events only occurred twice during our two week stay.

I absolutely love this air BNB the location to Miami Beach a close walk to oistins... this place was so beautiful they answered my questions so quickly... there were so many things I could use such as seasoning, laundry detergent it was so clean... I could write and go on for ever... let's just say they spoiled it for any other airbnb I'll only be staying there.... see you in 2025

Lovely accommodation in a great location for St Lawrence Gap. Becky was brilliant with information and communication. Would definitely recommend and look to book again in the future!

Visited Barbados for the first time with my wife and teenage son. Mary’s place is awesome and she’s a superlative host! Very accommodating of my list minute travel plans and super responsive with comm. She provided loads of good inside info and even went so far as to help me find the best deal on a last minute rental car as we were running through airports to make our flights! I mean, who does that? The balcony is just 50’ from the ocean and the sound of the surf softly serenaded us to sleep each night. The location allowed easy access to all the St Lawrence gap bars and restaurants. The condo itself was very well appointed with views from the balcony, living room and master that are second to none. This place is an absolute gem and Mary is fabulous! We will definitely be back!!

Roseanne and Doug were VERY polite and hospitable and their home is wonderful. We highly recommend them and their home. The location was gorgeous, very clean and everything needed for our stay.

Loved the property, great location with small private beach, and pool. Located on saint Lawrence gap so close to a number of restaurants and bars. This was a great base for us to explore more of the island. The condo is a fully equipped home with all you need. We stayed 2 weeks and so it was cleaned fully after our first week. June the local host is lovely and was able to answer any queries we had which were few. Will miss the amazing view from the terrace, which is just stunning and the sound of the ocean as you fall asleep every night. Other guests at mistle cove were also lovely. Highly recommend this property!

We enjoyed our family stay over the holidays. The local beach was the best on the island for snorkeling in my opinion. The location had everything we could ask for.
