Family-friendly vacation rentals in Doshi River

This is our 3rd stay at Kan’s house. We love the neighbourhood (convenient to the yamanote line and subway, easy to get amenities like groceries, bakery items, take away, pharmacy, etc.). While it’s not far from a major area, the neighbourhood is gorgeous and quiet. Kan is very communicative and helpful. We love the house so much, we actually want to build one like it for ourselves someday. Highly recommended!

Both the scallor and the family are very kind and friendly, and we are grateful for the situation and requests.We had delicious tea from the day of arrival and a lot of hospitality afterwards.The room was also a very nice room and it was not an entire floor but we had a comfortable stay.It's close to the station. It was helpful.

Ko-san was friendly and accommodating, offering flexibility with the check-in time. The apartment is located on the 4th floor, which can be challenging with luggage, but Ko-san kindly carried my bags up during check-in. He provided clear instructions and shared plenty of local recommendations, which added to the experience. The location is highly convenient, being close to Nishi-Ogikubo Station, making it easy to get around. While the proximity to the station means you can hear the trains, the noise stops after the last train of the night, and as a heavy sleeper, it didn’t bother me. The apartment itself is fascinating, with unique architecture and design, making it a memorable stay.

It was such a great experience and nice place to stay. Keiko helped us a lot and very helpful and attentive. We asked to help lit the candle, air con trouble, and she’s around to help us. It was very cold days and having kotatsu was life saver and thick futon and duvets kept us warm too. She had all small things like tooth paste, tape, seasonings…etc you sometimes need it but you would avoid buying it during the trip. We definitely recommend this place and thank you for all of your help Keiko san!!

Best thing abt this place is location! Just 5 min walk from Asakusa Station in Asakusa Line but also can get easily to Ginza line! You can walk to Nakamise Street in 10 min to find all the food stalls and souvenir shops. The room is exactly how it's described. Toiletries, detergent, towels, hangers, slippers were all provided. Qiu was kind and very accommodating to our requests and she is very flexible with regards to check-in/out time. Only 1 thing that could be improved is the instructions to open the main door to the apartment. We took awhile to figure it out but well, that's just a small hiccup. Will definitely recommend this place!

This was a great area to stay in. It was relaxed and a great place to return to after exploring busier parts of Tokyo. There’s a great market on the same block that we went to daily. A short walk to the Azabu-Juban station and to Roppongi. The apartment was comfortable and well-equipped. We appreciated having a washer and dryer for laundry and the kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.

Masakatsu is a GEM. What a great host. He provided us with tons of restaurant advice, was eager to help us in any way. He even took us out on the town!! We felt so welcomed in Funabori thanks to him. The apartment is petite but serviceable. One note: if you are a tourist hoping to spend your time in Shibuya/Shinjuku, Funabori is pretty far away. You’ll feel like you’re in a Tokyo suburb here. We loved having a local experience, from our jogs along the nearby canal to eating delicious ramen around the corner. Loved visiting the onsen (heads up: it’s closed mornings and also on Wednesdays), and having a washing machine. Thanks for everything, Masakatsu!!!

His place was large and bet clean. Or was near the station and bus terminal. Also near a great park and many shopping malls and restaurants. it was close to the Sky Tree. We roamed around the neighborhood and had great coffee at elementary school coffee and a wonderful dinner & lunch at Fu Fu Hentan

This is the second time my friends and I have booked Tokuaki's BnB. We love it just as much as the first time back in 2018. Very spacious and clean. Close to many attractions and train station but still very peaceful. Very easy to get to and from Narita Airport using the airport limousine bus at the Metropolitan Hotel. Tokuaki is very responsive and helpful, a great host with a lovely home. Would definitely recommend and book again in the future.

The stay at Kensuke was perfect! Upon our arrival we found the owner to take us to the accommodation located in the courtyard of a house a few steps from the sea of Kamakura. The house is a real gem: in typical Japanese style, with a small veranda overlooking the garden and bathtub in the bathroom to relax. Floor heating is a plus! The most beautiful part, sleeping on the tatami! Impeccable order and cleanliness, I hope to be a guest again in this delightful little house within walking distance of the sea!

Yukari was more than a host, she is a friend. She is kind, friendly, helpful and very responsive. She picked us up at the station and also dropped us off when we departed. Japan is a great place to visit for its beauty, culture and especially the people. It’s our number one favorite country to come back again and again Thank you Yukari for allowing us to stay at your place and for being so nice to us

We stayed for 10 weeks and it was wonderful! The location is great to get to Tokyo (35 min to Shibuya) but also to Yokohama, since it’s in between. We felt at home from the start, and Chieko was always helpful when we had questions, and in general such a friendly host :) we had to do some remote work during our stay and it was always stable wifi and good to have 2 tables in the apartment, so that’s also a plus! :)

I stayed in the sauna main.The sauna was awesome.The place is also in the mountains, so I think the stars will be beautiful if it's sunny (it was cloudy, so I guess).It's a wild mountain, but of course there are insects, so I think you need to be a little prepared if you don't like spiders.The host was very responsive and accommodating. It was great.

It's a little far from the station, but 10 minutes?15 minutes? But it was nice to go for a walk. The accommodation was also comfortable!

We used it for 8 people, but we had a relaxing time.The photos were somewhat imagined before the visit, but the bathroom, shower room, and bathtub were more spacious and comfortable than I expected. The main purpose of this stay was the BBQ and fireworks, but they provided both of which were easy to do, making it easy to enjoy. There were plenty of kitchen utensils and amenities, and the size of the TV, the number of chairs, and the arrangement were perfect for a large group to stay comfortably. The interaction on Airbnb was smooth, and we had a peaceful and pleasant time because of the warm welcome on arrival, and the polite response was handled, and we had a peaceful and enjoyable time!I wanted to stay again if I get the chance.

Don’t be put off by the rules- be respectful and this is a great stay. Nice and quiet and close to many food places and stations. The host is very helpful and responsive and even offered to make a restaurant reservation for us. We loved our stay!

This side of Tokyo is a bit calmer, so there was no noise pollution, which was a nice change of pace. The apartment was bigger than I expected. The bed was very comfortable. Fell in love with the AC and all the convenience stores nearby. Host is quick and understanding!
