Beynac et Cazanac is such a stunning setting and we were back for a second visit. Catherine's place is absolutely perfect, the pictures, although beautiful don't live up to the real thing. It is magical. The bedrooms are all lovely, comfortable beds, pillows and lovely linens. Each room has it's own charm. And there are 2.5 bathrooms! The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room lovely but we were so lucky to have a sunny and warm week in mid September that we were outside for all meals and most of the time. We were in the pool a few times each day and could not get enough of the view. Lots to watch on the river as it was full of bright canoes every day. Hot air balloons floated by most every day, some almost close enough to touch. At night the castles are lit up in the distance...simply stunning. The town is so historic with cobbled streets and medieval houses, no surprise movies are filmed here. But the best part is how peaceful it is, hard to leave. Great shops too

We had a wonderful few days in this gorgeous house. Very peaceful, well maintained house with everything you need. It was lovely spending time with the donkeys too. The hosts were great and quick to answer any questions we had. Would definitely recommend.

A small nest of peaceful nature with all amenities, a very attentive host, passionate about permaculture and communicative good humor! Recommended without a family of 4 , children 8 and 11 years old had taken the trailer and their independence; as for the parents, they regained their privacy! A green setting with many activities around, the only downside if you want to get closer to more tourist sites such as the abyss of Padirac or the gardens of Marqueyssac and the gardens of Marqueyssac and that you have to take your car but the departments are charming and it's worth a visit! Otherwise, beautiful hikes, long bike rides with also good elevations, lakes, rivers and a more than mild climate where you can simply breathe!

We have just spent 6 days here and can honestly say it was a wonderful time. We thought the photos looked great but it really did exceed our expectations and is absolutely stunning in the ‘flesh’. After a long, hot drive, to sit at the bar by the pool chatting with Tracey and Gavin was a fabulous start to our holiday. The accommodation is just perfect in every way and I don’t think we will ever find more comfortable beds. The gite is situated in a beautiful spot and also within easy distance of the many other amazing sights of the Dordogne. Tracey and Gavin are the most friendly, welcoming and generous of hosts, nothing is too much trouble and we left knowing we have made lovely new friends. We shall definitely be returning next year. Excellent vacation at Philippe's from 08/09 to 08/24, in a pleasant accommodation for 2 with all comforts. In an authentic Dordogne house. Philippe is a pleasant person, friendly, warm with good knowledge of the area. There are really nice things to do and visit. It's beautiful. We recommend this rental without worries, we'll be happy to go back. Florence and Joël

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Le Shedeaux. It is a beautiful property with picturesque landscape views and it is also close to scenic towns nearby. Paul is a friendly host who was accommodating, helpful and easy to contact. He set up the fireplace for our arrival which made the cottage very cosy. We look forward to returning!
