I cannot recommend The Old Milking Stall (Tim and Barbara) enough!! I stayed there with my family for 4 days and it was more than we could imagine! Tim and Barbara themselves are so welcoming and helpful, they couldn’t be any nicer if they tried! They provide a thoughtful welcome hamper! And for their home it is gorgeous! So beautiful from the garden to the reading nook, it’s perfect for all! Their pet dogs being your friend is a bonus! If you need any help they are willing to do what they can from taxi advice to food recommendations! If you need a place to stay in Skibbereen, The Old Milking Stall is definitely the place to stay! Mary went above and beyond to provide us with an amazing stay. We were arriving late so she made sure we had food and milk supplies in to save a mad dash in the morning to a shop. As we arrived, the log fire was roaring and so homely and comforting. I could not fault the hospitality we received. Thank you for an amazing stay and would definitely stay again when visiting family. Thanks a million Mary - a rare find of a host!!

Our stay at the cabin exceeded our expectations. The cabin and surroundings are even more beautiful in person! The cabin was spotless, warm and homey. The hosts thought of everything a guest could need. From the milk, butter, orange juice, spices, coffee to the fluffy bath towels, dressing gowns and birthday decorations. The surrounding garden is beautifully landscaped with lots of lights that make the place feel magical. Lastly, the host was very friendly, warm, helpful and kind. We had the best stay this weekend and will definitely comeback. Thank you so much to sam and david!

I have stayed at many air bnb throughout the years. I was an early adopter of the idea. Never have I ever had a host as wonderful as Krystle. Before we even hopped on the plane she was quick and eager to answer our questions. We arrived earlier than expected and only waited about 2 minutes for a response if we could check in early. We were eager to be unload and relax. First impressions of the house were better than expected. The pictures do not do the location justice. Absolutely beautiful and serene. The interior was cozy and not too cluttered. Just enough to make us feel right at home. There was a very thorough binder of some information and things to do in the area which we used heavily. I could go on and on about how wonderful my experience was but I will leave off with this. If you don't book with Krystle you are doing yourself a disservice for your vacation. It was a perfect location to allow us to travel around the country in day trips to see everything we wanted too and more!

Rory is an excellent host who communicated brilliantly with us. He gave loads of suggestions regarding places to eat and visit. The apartment is very comfortable and spacious with a fabulous view of the sea and easy access to the beach. Would highly recommend Rory’s place and Youghal is a beautiful town to visit

Carmel’s home is a real sanctuary and was a little oasis of peace and calm. It is ideal for children and our little preschooler had an absolute ball, from picking blackberries right outside in the little “forest” out the back to the playground within a stones throw - not to mention the Fairy Trail! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and really hope to be back! Thank you so much for the little touches of kindness too! The home is perfectly situated for a home away from home (just better) or a base for exploring what Cork City and Fota Island have to offer.

comfiest bed I've ever slept in. Kids loved zara the dog and Kong the donkey. lots of clean towels and bedlinen. well equipped kitchen. lots of firewood for the stove. easy to find. 10 minutes from skibbereen down.

We enjoyed our stay at Veronica’s. She was so helpful and friendly! Her home was spacious and had everything we required. We would definitely recommend Veronica’s because of her hospitality, comfortable home, and beautiful surroundings!

A lovely little space, very close to Killarney if you're driving. The house was cozy and well decorated, had absolutely incredible views, and even has a cute little walk along a creek out back. The kitchen had everything you needed, but was a little light on some options - but other than that, the house was very well appointed. I'd recommend it for future stays!
