We had a wonderful Christmas stay at "The Octopus Cottage," a cozy and immaculately clean Airbnb in Cape May. Donna and her son Kyle are exceptional hosts who have thoughtfully designed every aspect of the cottage for comfort and relaxation. From the moment we arrived, we felt pampered with freshly baked, homemade blueberry muffins. The cottage itself is a tranquil retreat, perfectly suited for a peaceful getaway. As a pet-friendly haven, our furry best friend, Phoenix, was welcome to join us, & he loved the very short walk to the beach and leisurely walks along the shore (& neighborhood) Throughout our stay, we appreciated the meticulous attention to detail that Donna and Kyle brought to ensuring our comfort. The cottage was spotlessly clean, & every amenity we needed was readily available. The serene atmosphere and quiet surroundings made for a truly unforgettable Christmas. We feel grateful to have found such wonderful hosts and a lovely cottage to call home for the holiday. D&D

Our stay in this home was such a treat! We enjoyed utilizing the kayaks to boat around in Chesapeake Bay. The hot tub was an absolute delight, perfect for evening stargazing, saw lots of shooting stars, and could see the water of the bay from the hot tub. We also enjoyed doing November cold plunges from the hot tub to the pool. While the living room is not expansive, it fit our needs for family game & movie nights. The bed linens were so comfortable, and Lori was beautifully responsive & friendly when we would reach out with a question. We also enjoyed the nearby Sandy beaches.

Absolutely loved everything about this place. Well designed cozy cottage directly on the water. Incredible views of the sunrise from the living room and bedroom, an incredibly huge front yard and perfect hang out size deck on the back. It was a staycation I didn't even know was possible in MD! I almost didn't want to write about it to keep this gem hidden :) can't wait to be back!

A really charming home, comfortably furnished. A short drive to the beach and downtown Rehoboth Beach. Lovely all around!

Chapel Cottage is fabulous! The cottage is private, cozy, charming, comfortable and incredibly well-designed, well laid out, and well-stocked. The kitchen is very functional. I was able to cook a full Thanksgiving meal with desserts! The host is delightful, a great communicator, and has added so many extra touches to the space. I highly recommend The Chapel Cottage.

The house was located in a very quite secluded neighborhood. This was a great location to stay as we were only 25 minutes from downtown OC and only about 10 minutes away from Fenwick. Lots of stores near by if you forgot something and needed to run and go grab something. The living room was very welcoming and is setup for families with children with plenty of games to play. Overall our stay was great and close enough to enjoy all things beach related which was exactly what we were looking for.

Our family of 6 had a very merry early Christmas at this charming cottage. The beds are very comfortable, the most important thing for most of us. Everyone slept well. The kitchen was well appointed for the cooking we did, including making a Beef Wellington for our Christmas dinner. We knew there was no dining room or large table, but made do with a folding table and chairs provided with the cottage. It was cozy! The area is quite lovely, even in winter, with walking and biking paths through a local park and into the woods. It is very quiet! The huge living room tv worked great, and we all liked the recliners. The bathroom is very spacious and immaculately clean, with lots of towels and toiletries. We used the outside firepit the night of our big dinner. A perfect end to the day.

Peter was very responsive and his place was cozy. Will definitely be reaching back out to him in the summer!

This was our third annual December visit to Jennifer’s. As always, the cottage was wonderful and Jennifer was very responsive. My friends and I are already discussing coming back to “our holiday home” next December. Thanks so much Jennifer for helping this tradition to happen!

We loved staying in this little cottage! I truly appreciated the coffee and tea selection and the other numerous amenities. It was clean, comfortable, and cozy. We hope to stay again!

We felt so at ease in the cottage, and our dogs enjoyed sniffing around the secure backyard. The decor was doggy-delightful and the furniture was comfortable and clean. Michael was over within minutes to change a chirping smoke alarm- much appreciated!! I would highlyrecommend this cottage!

We loved the house; cozy, nicely decorated, with many pieces of original art that really added character. The kitchen is well stocked for those who like to cook. The location right on the water was wonderful, and Nancy provided kayaks, which we took advantage of. Our dog was beside himself with so much room to run. Nancy’s daughter and family live next door, and we spent quite a few hours enjoying conversation and local knowledge with them. We would go back again.

We are so grateful to have found Cody and Staci's place and they accommodated us when we were in a pinch. We had no idea how lucky we were to find them as we drove up to their place at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. A great back yard for our pup and an xtra large crate just her size for when we popped out to shop or a meal. We were such a short drive to Cape Henlopen and enjoyed walks and laying by the shore two days and another to Bridgewater trail all with our pup. We even saw dolphins on our last day on the beach! The space was really clean and chic and lots of room for us to spread out. There were only two of us this time but this place would be perfect for us with our two sons/partners and grandchildren and still have lots of room. A nice big table for lovely meals and a great kitchen with everything we needed. Cody and Staci were very responsive and popped by when we needed help with something. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend their space. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The location is beautiful and very convenient to the town of Ashland. The beds were comfortable, the linens and towels pristine. The coffee was much appreciated. I would look forward to staying there again in future.

Thank you for hosting us! Our kids really enjoyed kayaking, pedal boating, fishing off the dock, and watching the various birds hunt for fish. It was very quiet during our off-season visit. We will look to come back the next time are in the area!

Cottage has been maintained with care; it is not just clean; it’s meticulously clean. Quiet? it's on a road where a car passes every 20 minutes. Short trips for grocery shopping and coffee? Food Lion 7-8 minutes. Coffee shop 9 minutes at the Four Corners Shopping center. Off street parking? Gravel driveway into property. Security? A security light is on a pole. Laundry room with full size washer & dryer next to 50 gal water tank. 63 hangers in 3 closets, 23 drawers in the rooms. Convenient outlets for recharging iPhones. Tub & shower w/ wand. Sliding opaque glass door glides easily. Bath has outlet & small table with/drawer that keeps toiletries together. 9 extra thick fluffy towels + beach towels, three 28 oz. Shampoos. 16.5 cu ft reefer with cubed/crushed ice in door, 9 cu ft freezer with ice maker, microwave, Keurig pods + drip coffee, condiments, blender, toaster, spatulas, multiple channels and streaming options, books cleaning gear, laundry basket, iron, folding drying rack...

Great place to stay while traveling to Smith Island. The house is very clean and Janet is a great host.

Excellent stay! Both the Ivy & Sky cottages were cozy and comfortable retreats allowing our family restful nights. The cottages were as described; clean and inviting space. We enjoyed relaxing mornings with fresh coffee on the front porch overlooking the beautiful countryside view. The property is in an ideal location, perfectly tucked away in a peaceful area while also being conveniently accessible to Richmond, Williamsburg, and local amenities. Talita was a wonderful host. She was incredibly responsive, helpful, and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Overall a great stay. We hope to come back.
