The home was beautiful and clean with very peaceful surroundings! They were very considerate and left a local guide, some local beers, and plenty of relaxing touches. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. I will note if you have dogs, the stairs are a bit steeper than we anticipated, but that is not on the host. Just something to be aware of, as we both had large dogs who struggled a bit with the tight space.

We honeymooned in Montana & Collin’s place definitely made it worthwhile! The views were amazing!! You have a beautiful creek in the backyard surrounded by trees & mountains. The place was clean, as listed, and comfortable. We enjoyed the wood/fire heated hot tub after skiing. The town outside the Airbnb was full of great spots to eat. We would definitely stay here again to see the Montana summer!

we stayed July and August. the view was spectacular instead of hiking to the view you live there and outside your door you have 40.miles of forest road to hike 6000 ft looking at lake como at 4000 ft below. wow

Our family had the most wonderful Christmas at this beautiful Airbnb! Growing up in Hamilton, I was thrilled to finally share Montana in this beautiful location with my husband and mother-in-law. The home was a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, and the peaceful, private surroundings felt like a scene from a holiday movie. We hosted Christmas Eve dinner for my family, and the fully equipped kitchen made it so easy to prepare a full holiday meal. After dinner, we gathered around the outdoor fire pit, enjoying the crisp Montana air and the star-filled sky—it was truly magical. The host was amazing—when we asked to extend our stay by a day, she moved things around to make it work, going above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. Her kindness and responsiveness made everything seamless. If you’re looking for a serene and special place to create lasting memories, especially during the holidays, this is it. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

We loved staying at Bittersweet Retreat! The area is beautiful and has great access to Lost Trail Ski Area, the town of Hamilton and its food and shopping, as well as great stretches of the Bitterroot River. Our hosts were very responsive and have a beautiful property, we enjoyed hanging out with their dogs, cat, goats and chickens! We will be back when the weather is warmer and the river clears up!

This place was just the perfect weekend getaway for us and got us close to all the mountain scenery we could’ve asked for. Absolutely loved that it was pet friendly so I could bring my fur babies and the fenced in yard was a bonus. The house also had everything you could possibly need, shampoo and conditioner, lotions, makeup remover, etc. We also very much enjoyed cooking our breakfast on the wood stove! & the beds were comfy. Also, it should be noted that Lynda was so kind and responsive, she even had started a fire for us earlier in the day so the cabin would be warm when we arrived and had plenty of wood there for us. She also helped us out with recommendations of where to explore. We definitely plan to come back & stay here again! :)

The location was absolutely perfect for skiing at Lost Trail. I loaded four crock-pot recipes into chat GPT and had it make one shopping list for me. Crock-Pot they had worked out perfect. we're able to leave in the morning ski all day and come home to an easy dinner. There's plenty of extra of everything. The place is actually bigger than it appears from the photos. definitely recommend it as well as if we ever come back to this location would definitely love staying here again!

We loved our stay. Lots of wildlife and the hosts made sure we were welcome and comfortable. We travel with pets and they were welcomed and loved.

The place was perfect, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clean, quiet, well-equipped kitchen, beautiful private location.

Dawn & Kent were exceptional hosts, very friendly and respectful. The property is exactly what we were looking for-- Elk Run Ranch is 4 miles down a dirt and gravel road and the cabins are within sight of several hiking trails, the lake with kayaks and row boats to use, and the most glorious mountains imaginable. After four days decompressing and exploring we were sorry to leave. Be aware that an SUV will handle the road far better than our small sedan but we managed fine even if very slowly. Also, stock up on groceries in Salmon because the General Store in North Fork has a VERY limited selection (no produce, no dairy, mostly a small variety of canned goods, junk food, and dry goods). That said, Dawn and Kent were a real pleasure to talk to and the ranch was magic.

Amazing rustic cabin—cozy but spacious enough for our family. We loved that we could bring our dog. We had great times around the fire and had snowball fights. Starlink is spotty, but if you go there to connect to the internet, you have the wrong idea. We went to disconnect. It was great. I would stay there again!

This place is a gem, truly the pastoral ideal, an incredible valley in the foothills of the bitterroots. Warm and cozy in the deepest snows of winter. What sets it apart are the amazing caretakers ! They were on premise and kept the roads plowed and the pathways shoveled and kept us in firewood . Vacasa feels a bit distant/impersonal and like a corporation that doesn’t fully understand the site, but that’s all swept away by the two amazing caretakers. The price felt a little steep for two nights , but it was a top notch place. Very clean and comfortable. Mattresses were foam and firm and delightful, lots of hot water and good shower pressure. Kitchen was well outfitted. Don’t forget to ring the school bell in Sula !

Our stay at Dawn's cabin was just what we needed to host small family Thanksgiving/ Ski trip. There was a little hiccup in the beginning that was my fault and Dawn was flexible and worked with us. The cabin is large and roomy with a large back porch perfect for hanging out with an incredible view. We had 8 adults sleep comfortably, a wide variety of board games and reading material was available, kitchen was stocked nicely (even had a potato masher that Ihad forgotten to bring), the basement hosts a large dining table perfect for a large family dinner with an extra full bath also in the basement. Not to mention super close to Lost Trail Ski Area, which unfortunatelywasnt running yet but we made due! I would definitely recommend booking this stay!

Wonderful host, comfortable and well-appointed log cabin in a beautiful, serene location. Perfect as a getaway and as a homebase to visit family in the area.

Paula was a great host! The cabin was amazing! Paula had everything we needed there to cook every meal and left some very nice extras like tasty cookies that she made! The firewood was well stocked, there were plenty of linens and warm blankets. The kitchen and bathroom were perfect. This is a very special place to reconnect with my husband and 2 young adult sons. We sat by the campfire, played cards, relaxed, went hiking and visited nearby sites and Darby. We had the opportunity to meet Paula for a few minutes one night and she is such a lovely woman, kind and thoughtful! We would love to stay here again! Thank you Paula!

This was our second stay at Matt's cabin, and it was fantastic. We gathered four generations for a guy's weekend and this cabin was the perfect fit. The location is peaceful and allows for some great family time. We enjoyed fishing the the private pond and exploring the bitterroot river, as well as just wandering in the woods, playing games, and barbequing on the huge deck. The Starlink internet was great for movie night as well. All three bedrooms are comfortable and clean. The kitchen is very well appointed and we had no issues cooking all of our meals for four days. Matt is an exceptional owner and host and really helps you feel at home. His communication is the best we've ever had on Airbnb. I highly recommend Matt's cabin, and I know we'll be back!

Peaceful, charming, and restful place to stay. Very comfortable with a lot of nice extras. The view is really nice, and the hostess has thought of everything. Really great rental!
