We fell in love with this place. The front porch and the view was absolutely amazing. The kitchen was very well stocked. I took my cast iron pan I love to cook in but we won’t need it on our next stay because they had my exact one! I love old homes. I loved the feel of the home. I spoke with the host personally and she was the sweetest. She was willing to accommodate us with what we asked for. She was a blessing as we were there to lay my brother in law to rest. It made this time just a tad easier. We appreciate that. I just can’t think of anything negative at all!! This home will be one we visit often and other family members who were there to visit felt the same way and said they can’t wait to book a stay there as well! I hate leaving such a great review because now everyone will want to stay in OUR place! LOL!

wonderful place to stay. was exactly as described. provided place to relax during a very busy holiday and wedding trip. kitchen was well stocked. house had everything you could need. loved the porch area.

This was by far our favorite place we’ve stayed in Brevard. We loved walking our dog by the creek and along the trails in the back yard. Sitting on the large deck listening to the birds and watching deer cross our path. It was the most well equipped home we’ve ever stayed in and super close to everything. We will absolutely return. The Best!

We love staying at this property! Layout is nice and open, there’s every thing a home would have, it’s warm and inviting, greats hosts, we see lots of wildlife and it’s quiet. It’s our second stay and definitely not our last!

Marisa’s house is a beautiful cabin that was worth every penny. It is convenient to Brevard and the Pisgah Forest for the fishing and outdoor enthusiast. Marisa was very accommodating to my group and was prompt to responding to messages. The house was clean and lacked no amenities. The kitchen was well furnished with pots, pans, etc. and linens were plentiful. I would recommend Marisa’s place for anyone hoping to get away and stay in a beautiful part of North Carolina.

There really are no words to describe how much we enjoyed our stay. For our family of 6, and our 2 doggies, we were looking for a large space in a beautiful and peaceful setting to enjoy the holidays together. We are all so busy and run in different directions, and we thought this would be a great way to have a captive Christmas for everyone to enjoy time together! We were right! The owner has the house decorated perfectly for Christmas, and the basement level was perfect for our 3 grown boys to play video games and bond together! Grandma enjoyed the large tv with the giant window overlooking the mountain and lake - and mom & dad (us) enjoyed the master bedroom & bath with a balcony overlooking the mountain and lake. It was perfect, like Switzerland, but only 2 hours from home! We have treasured memories of our trip!

Lindsey and Mike are awesome hosts and the cabin was very clean and peaceful. Thank you for making our stay wonderful.
