The house is situated at an altitude with beautiful views and is surrounded by land with relatively many birds. Many places on Snaefellsnes are easy to reach. The last kilometers to the house are unpaved, but a 4x4 is not necessary. There is a good bed that just fits in the bedroom, the equipment is more than sufficient. The wifi details on the Airbnb site were not accurate but were in the guest font, so that was quickly resolved.

We stayed at Sigursteinn and Maria's camper on our 3rd and 4th last night in Iceland, after traveling Ring Road for 2 weeks. The camper was VERY clean and we embraced being at the location. We had what we needed to cook (inside the camper and was able to grill outside) and kids enjoyed sleeping in the bunkbeds. Maria provided so many suggestions on what to do in the area and we really enjoyed listening to the history about the area. She gave very clear instructions on how to get to the camper. My family and I lucked out by seeing the Northern Lights right from our camper. We heard it was rare to see all the colors we did in late August. I can only imagine how amazing it would be to see the Northern Lights from this property after August. Thank you Maria and Sigursteinn!!

I have such happy memories of our time in Kristján’s cabin. It feels more like staying at a friend's place as there is such character throughout the home. It's ideal for 'hunkering down' amid stunning scenery. We loaded up on duty free wine and plenty of food at Bonus and spent our evenings cooking, chatting and playing games. There are plenty of cooking ingredients K is happy to share. The cabin is ideal for a digital detox and cutting yourself off from the world - although it also has excellent wi-fi. It's worth noting there aren't many restaurants locally - this is truly the wilderness. There are plenty of amazing things to see locally by car. Highlights include: Eiríksstaðir - Viking Longhouse - Sofie is an amazing storyteller and host Daytrip around Snæfellsjökull National Park Guðrúnarlaug Hot-tub Café Riis Hólmavík - Restaurant - Pizzeria & Bar & also Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft Kristján's cabin is a truly one-of-a-kind and memorable stay.

Absolutely beautiful house in the country with amazing views. Hosts were very responsive and answer questions that we had before we arrived. House is very clean and the only neighbors were sheep lots to do in the area, including some amazing trails to run on. Thanks for such a great stay

If you are looking for a place to stay that will take your breath away look no further. This spot is UNMATCHED. All basic needs met indoors. Very private. Gorgeous beyond. Outside you have the sea, the mountains, waterfalls and the sound of the wind dancing through the grass. I will forever be thinking of this place and hope to return soon.

Really enjoyed our stay. We had the place to ourselves. Great communication throughout. We wanted to stay in the middle of nowhere, so this was ideal. No northern lights last night, but what a wonderful experience. It’s a bit like a youth hostel, so if you want fancy luxury, this wouldn’t be the place. If you want to drive 20 mins to the end of a fjord and enjoy some splendid isolation - you’ll love it.

Anna Erla’s home is perfect!! We had a little hiccup after checkin but we reached out and got things all sorted out quickly and with very little inconvenience. The location is incredibly peaceful, the views amazing. The home itself was fully furnished with all the essentials and even some extras!! We felt quite at home in the space.

The farm where the two cabins are located is in a very remote valley on the shore of the most pristine lake with daily avian wildlife. You feel as if you easily have an entire nature preserve/national park all to yourself. We stayed in several places while in Iceland, and all had/were chosen for their remote beauty, but this place has a magic that is hard to compare. This was also the place with so little light pollution that we saw such wondrous Aurora on a clear night. Thanks for sharing this remarkable place.

Best Airbnb I've ever stayed in! Everything is absolutely perfect. The house is beautiful and full of history. We are isolated, alone in the middle of nature in a relaxing setting. The house is extremely clean, the beds are comfortable. The host is very friendly, the check-in tools are very easy and well indicated. There is absolutely no fault, we had a great time. Thank you so much to the host. A thought for our friend the dog. I would highly recommend it.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Guesthouse Nyp. We were met by welcoming faces and a very stylish interior, which felt like stepping into narnia after driving in the wet and dark for hours at the end of a long day. Our host Hubert instantly made us feel right at home with his kind and warm welcome, looking after us for the duration of our stay – it wouldn't have been the same without him. The surroundings were beautiful and we made sure to take our time in the morning to walk into the mountains and down to the beach before heading on our way. A wonderful experience, thank you.

Took a spontaneous weekend trip, I booked this place last minute. Leifur was quick to respond and provided clear directions on how to access the building and your room. The room and private bathroom was perfect if you're looking for a place to crash at night. No one else was on our floor with us - I cannot speak to if you can hear other guests. There is a shared kitchen, nothing fancy. We used the microwave to make popcorn. No other commone areas. The surrounding area has limited options for food and things to do. It met my needs of having a place to sleep.

Neil's place was a little off the beaten path. But it was a nice clean place and he was very accommodating. We had lost a passport and spent all day back tracking trying to find it and wasn't able to eat with him. We arrived really late and he was very understanding and met us at the house.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of our cottage! Níels was very kind and flexible. The facilities were great, kitchen access and bathrooms were perfect for a long or short stay. I wish I could have stayed longer!
