Very comfortable place -- mentally and physically. Cold AC. The indoor/outdoor and minimalist kitchens will be odd to the uninitiated, but everything works and overall the system is quite functional. With a little creativity we cooked some elaborate meals. In spite of the "local neighborhood" location, the outdoor seating areas provide nice privacy, except 2-3 moments a day when Molly passes through. She turned out to be a delight, though -- the perfect mix of "available if needed; otherwise leaving you alone." I'll second the review that said this is like having a cool aunt with a house in the Caribbean. We used the provided white noise machine and were not bothered at all by local traffic or the chorus of roosters. The bedding is comfortable, great shower pressure, clean, no pests... Ten minute drive to almost anywhere on the island. Are there fancier places? Sure. But this is really some fantastic bang for your buck.

Location is perfect! We wish we could have stayed here another night. Darla met us up the road so there was no confusion. Checkout time is early but she allowed us to borrow beach towels for the day and use a locker. The large soaking tub was such a treat after a long day of travel. Great stay!

Host was the best! Excellent communication and extremely kind and helpful. There are lockers and showers available for a fee that made it convenient to explore the island while having your luggage secure. Hotel is a five minute walk from the ferry. There was a nice canal in the back patio.

This place was an awesome place. We stayed for two nights and zero issues while staying. AC is installed in front of the bed, so it kept us cool. The bed was comfortable and it was quite at night. Great location, once you have a rental car or the golf cart, you can access everywhere within 5-10 minutes.

Darla was a beautifully hospitable guest who welcomed me into the space with good details and a patient walk through. The spot is right next to the ocean and walkable to most places on that side of town. Highly recommend especially for a port of a few days as you explore the island. The twin bed was a little tight for me but I made it work. Go for it!

We stayed for four nights at Sarah’s place and absolutely loved it! There are lots to love about this place - the location (10 mins walk to the gorgeous black sand beach and short drive to town other beautiful and pristine beaches on the south side of the island), breckon (a long tee guest at the property) and his sweet dog solar, the animals (cats, horses, chickens) that roam around the property, the super cool bathroom and shower, etc. Sarah has been very communicative, helpful and accommodating too! Highly recommend the place!

If I could leave 10 stars, I would. Not only was the place immaculate, beautiful and central, the hosts were incredible. We ran out of cash and wanted to make sure we tipped people around the island, so Mari and nacho brought us cash!! They truly care so much about their guests, and their beautiful space and kind actions show that. We will be staying with them again!
