Family-friendly vacation rentals in Crozet

This house was a phenomenal stay for my wedding weekend. I love old southern houses and this place blew me away. Katie was very accommodating and responsive.

This was a perfect two night getaway with our family. The house is very clean. The views are beautiful. There are lots of things to do in the area not far from the house. We enjoyed taking the short path to the brewery for a couple of meals. The food is great! We sat by the fire and soaked in the hot tub. Martha’s instructions were very easy to follow to check in and checkout. She was very responsive. We appreciate that she also offered plenty of suggestions for things to do in the area. This was our first trip as a family of 3. We took our 5 month old to this place and it was fantastic. It was peaceful and quite by the lake and the hot tub was great relaxing time. The management company was responsive throughout our entire stay. Location was great as it was located just a short drive to locate wineries/breweries/restaurants. We really enjoyed out 3 night 4 day stay out in nature!

Comfortable beds, super clean hot tub and such a nice place to spend spring break. Excellent communication and very pleasant hosts. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips.

Really nice place. Lovely and peaceful and just what we needed

We had a beautiful stay at Elise’s cottage. It felt peaceful and secluded but was very close to the breweries we wanted to explore. Loved the hammock, the hot tub, and feeding the goats.

The place was super cute and clean! Not only are the surroundings absolutely gorgeous, there was a place to sit and enjoy it. The hot tub was a small walk and felt really private. The robes were such a nice touch! Close enough to restaurants, wineries, and Charlottesville without feeling like you’re staying in the city. I would definitely stay here again if I was coming to the area!

Our stay had everything and more! Kathryn was wonderful and responsive and our group all felt at home immediately. We would love to return!

Do Drop In is cozy and quaint with all required amenities. A lovely backyard with an awesome dogwood tree blooming during my stay. Great spots within walking distance: Dairy Market, Bodos Bagels, Shenandoah Joe’s coffee and Kardinal Hall. I was in town for a music gathering but I can imagine this would be a perfect place to stay during UVA business or visits. Very much appreciate Ann’s straightforward instructions and welcome gifts. Hope to be back later this year.

Erica was a super-friendly, pro-active and very responsive communicator who gave clear and helpful responses and instructions. Fantastic dealing with her. The snacks/treats and coffee provided were an unexpected but really welcome treat after days hiking in the mountains. Great location for access to Charlottesville and surrounding mountains, wineries and brewpubs. A couple distant trains roll through during the night, but a little white noise from my phone easily negated that. Highly recommend!

Very much enjoyed a short but sweet stay in this cabin! Appreciated the little touches including both fireplaces being set up for use upon arrival & maps of the area being laid out on the kitchen island. This quiet, pet-friendly Airbnb was a great escape for the weekend. Thank you for having us 🙂

Firnew Cottage is surrounded by a beautiful setting. My kids loved walking to the river and playing there. We all loved having Firnew’s dog Louie visit us daily. I found picturesque views everywhere while walking the grounds and trails. We were also in a great location to drive out for hikes. Thank you to Alex, David and Trish for being such friendly hosts.

Our stay was fantastic! The place was adorable with great natural lighting, plenty of space for two people and in a convenient neighborhood to get to the university, downtown and out to the wineries. We thoroughly enjoyed the baked goods Susan left for us along with the coffee, tea and kitchenette amenities. She had so many thoughtful touches throughout the place. I highly recommend staying here and will be returning the next time I'm in Charlottesville!

The house is spacious, clean, bright and well located (5 min drive to the downtown mall, 20 mins from wineries). It's perfect for a group of friends or a family visiting Charlottesville. We enjoyed our stay, and loved the recs and other thoughtful touches provided by Hunter and Sarah.

We loved using the pool and the patio/grill area. The view and the landscaping are beautiful. The owner was helpful and responsive; she supplied firewood and charcoal. Plenty of dining space both indoors and out. Good A/C.

Brad and Stacey‘s loft was exactly as described. The loft was extremely squeaky clean. The bed and pillows were over the top comfy. My daughter will be going to James Madison University and I have a feeling that I will be using this loft many times in the future. Thank you to Stacey and Brad for hosting us.

This is our second time in this place and we will be back again. We have so many memories here, from paddling on the pond, to sitting by the fire under the stars, and waking up to play in the river. The home is so rustic and cozy, fully equipped with everything you need. I love the disconnection from the rest, so relaxing, so needed. I recommend downloading the Google map of the area so you know how to get to hikes and attractions. Perfect for kids, perfect for couples, perfect for anyone who wants a chill or adventurous stay.

As advertised. Good location. Easy check-in

Our family of four spent two nights at Callie's Cottage. We had a great time enjoying the trails, fishing the pond, and watching the horses. Our kids had a lot of fun playing in the treehouse. The house was cozy, clean and well appointed.

TDLR version: If you have a big group (more than 5) for a ski trip at Wintergreen, and are looking at places to stay, you better book this place fast because it won’t be there later. 100% worth it. No complaints at all. Longer review: This place had everything we expected and more. Big living room area for gatherings, pristine kitchen with huge counter and dining table. Appliances looked brand new as well. There’s a mudroom with a separate entrance to put all your board/ski gear in to keep the house clean. The back deck is very spacious, and the gazebo has a light under it for late nights outside. Internet worked great the whole stay as well. All in all, it felt like we were staying at resort lodging, while having a private host on speed dial. Gina was an amazing host, being very responsive, giving detailed yet not overly complicated instructions and rules for the house, and being understanding when problems arose. 12/10 would stay again.

Hidden Gem definitely deserves its name! Beautiful views with things to do in the area. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our weekend getaway!!

I’d argue that this is one of the best places to stay in Wintergreen. The cabin itself is perfect. We are a young family and it was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The location is also perfect. It is very close to all the attractions on the resort. Clay was a great host as well. The perfect amount of communication; engaged without being intrusive. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be sure their trip is easy and successful!
