Lake side house rentals in Crane Lake

This is a wonderful off grid get away. We did a winter trip and pulled sleds with skis. Brought in water, coffee, and food. Made fires in the stoves for heat, and had a couple great saunas with cold plunges in the lake. Everything required work which is what my group was looking for. Wood to split, fires to feed, and lanterns to see at night. Close enough to ski back to the car and head to Ely anytime we wanted. Would recommend for unplugging from the busy world. Still had cell service if needed, but we stayed on airplane mode for the most part.

It was clean and just like the pictures shown. The view was also beautiful and Joellen was very quick with her responses!

What an amazing place! We loved spending time here and enjoying nature. Our 3 year old did not want to leave “the brown house” and did not want to leave Canada! We did star gazing outside the house one night and a cozy movie night inside the second night. During the day we went hiking across the border. We are already considering visiting again.

This cabin was wonderful. It fulfilled our needs while we were visiting family in the area. Location on the lake provided some beautiful sunsets. The host was great for communication. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were very pleased with our stay. The cabin is adorable with plenty of space around it. After reading a few reviews about the train tracks being so close I was a little concerned about safety and noise. Once we arrived I noticed that safety was not an issue as a river (stream) is located between the property and the tracks. The train runs through frequently but it didn't have a negative impact on our stay and we live in the country with no trains. Randy was very pleasant to work with and I can't say enough good things about our stay. it was a perfect fit!

The Great Outdoors was amazing. Anything we needed was available: Games, movies, full kitchen comfy beds. The cabin was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The welcome book was concise and explained everything from the lights to the showers. The welcome gift was sweet and appreciated. I highly recommend this beautiful cabin. We were there in the winter and I would love to go back in the summer.

It was a very well laid out two bedroom cabin. They provided ample towels, blankets, pillows and everything felt clean and comfortable. Their swing next to the lake was our favorite to watch the sun go down and have coffee in the morning. There is a nice fire ring with plenty of kindling and firewood provided! (So nice). The sauna worked well and was easy to use and warms up really fast. It was a wonderful stay, peaceful, quiet, and it felt private. We will be back for sure!!

We had an amazing time staying at this beautiful home! It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The kids had a blast making s'mores by the firepit and spending time with their cousins. The host was quick to respond and kind. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to make family memories.

This place is BEAUTIFUL!! Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the location could not have been better. Especially with trying to see the Northern Lights, this place was everything we needed. The dock looks north, the sauna and hot tub were great for relaxing, and plenty of plates and seating for our group. Grocery store and town was close. One note to those staying here, don’t forget shampoo and other toiletries for your stay.

Beautiful home with a beautiful view. We had a great time fishing, eating at various places and traveling the North Shore.

We absolutely adored this home, land location and the owners. The house was filled with everything and anything you could need. Beds were comfy and the yard, gardens, small private beach and lake were amazing. Jeani and Randy were so kind and thoughtful and their communication was top notch even reaching out to give us an update on the storm that came through, northern lights and harvest moon. Randy was there to meet us and even helped us unload. They had a ton of material for the surrounding areas. We drove up to Voyageurs NP - all of them, Crane Lake and Vermilion Falls, traveled over to do activities in Ely and Tower. They do live onsite but up on top of a hill and we never saw them. We also took the kayaks on the lake. Ducks come to visit several times a day. The neighbors are very friendly, there are trees on both sides so you don't see much. Home is on a dead end road so you can walk dogs without any traffic. Internet speed is great. We would absolutely stay here again.

Excellent place to stay and beautiful area. I would highly recommend this place and will rent again! Katherine went above and beyond as a host and I have never rented from someone that was so kind and helpful. Highly recommend. The house is large, clean and comfy! Very beautiful place.

Great place to stay with awesome views. We snowmobiled there and it was easy great access to the trails and lake. Hosts were very kind and checking to see if we needed anything. Would highly recommend staying at this place.

We had such a peaceful trip and will 100% be back for a longer trip. The views are absolutely amazing, the lake is clean and beautiful. So quite and relaxing. Ely has some nice restaurants and we are looking forward to coming back to explore more.

This place was exactly what we needed. Lots of hiking trails nearby. Vermillion Falls was amazing.

It was a wonderful way to end the summer with our family. Wonderful private yard with little beach area for our kids to swim. Lots of little fish to catch off the dock to keep the kids entertained and some pretty decent fishing for the adults. Saw the Northern Lights our first night and then woke up to bald eagles flying around. It was great!

My family and I had such an incredible stay at Jennifer’s lake house. It was the perfect combination of spacious, cozy, and private for us to spend our Christmas week there. The location and wintry weather had us feeling like we were in a snow globe. The house was even decorated for the season, and had more than enough room for the group we had. Makes me excited for the summer months, as I would absolutely book here again!

Hidden Minnesota gem. The place is even better than the photos. Serene, extremely tranquil. Beautiful lake and lots to do for kids and adults equally. Love coming back to this place.

We loved the home that Tom so graciously shares with Air BNB. The stocked kitchen was above our expectations. Our group goes yearly to up-north places but finding somewhere that houses 10 is getting to be a rare find, we hit the jackpot with Tom’s home. Lots to do within the home that is extremely comfortable and spacious. Lots to do in the surrounding cities from tours to drinks to eating out. We appreciate your responsiveness and kindness Tom and thank you for sharing your home with us!!!!!

Great house on the lake with great views. It was winter still when we stayed but it was still a great place even with not being able to.use the yard. Will stay again if in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at The Hideaway! We drove up from Mississippi for a white Christmas and spent most of our time ice skating on the lake, reading, and playing board games. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation: books, games, puzzles, the lake, even extra dog bags for clean up. My oldest went ice fishing a few times. As an amateur baker, I loved that the kitchen had things like bread pans, a pastry blender, a dough scraper, etc. It made the Christmas and New Year’s baking of delicious breads and desserts much easier. Highly recommend and considering another stay this summer!

Reunion of 3 grad school friends who hadn’t been together in a couple of decades. We felt right at home and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Proximity to a string of state parks and other points of interest was great. It was exactly what we were looking for and needed.
