Amazing place, surrounded by nature. cottage was very clean, cosy, felt like home. Very dedicated hosts, always available for any questions, lovely basket with goodies at our arrival. Amazing experience will come again for sure in future

My family and I had a great stay here. the place was lovely, furnished beautifully. We felt right at home immediately. Some really nice touches like a few welcome things to save us shopping straight away. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and communication was great The hot tub was great and the garden nice and private nd the ping pong table was a great addition. There were board games, books and the kitchen was well equipped. This was all great as we were there to chill out and relax. Whilst there we did some walking in the forest which was right on the doorstep. It was not far to the beach too. We ate at the Haywain (3 minutes walk) which had great pizzas (burgers not so good). We also had an Indian takeaway which was in Totton (Aamnah's Indian Kitchen) about 5 minutes drive, which was fab and very reasonably priced. We would love to return and would highly recommend this place to anyone without hesitation.

Lovely stay at Pig Cottage. From the moment you walked you in, set the scene with what to expect with the accommodation- it really did not disappoint. The cottage was very secure and we felt at ease with our 2 dogs to leisurely walk round the grounds of Pig Cottage. Clean, spacious and plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 dogs. Nice little touches like the bath, shower and hot tub. Local amenities were near by, with cosy pubs just down the road. Great hosts - thank you so much for having us ☺️

Jocelyn and David were the perfect hosts! So friendly and amazing, showing us around the farm and introducing us to all the animals was a big highlight for us. Thank you for your amazing recommendations and for making it the perfect stay. We will be back soon!

Angela and Tim’s place was lovely. Great last min getaway. Nice walks, great local pubs and easy to get to other places in the new forest (we went for lunch at the pig 30 mins drive away). Clean and tidy. The hot tub & wood burner was appreciated after long cold walks in the surrounding countryside. Great for families; they set up a cot bed for our son and stair gates so felt safe. Kitchen is great too; even has steak knives if you want a posher night in.

This was our 3rd stay at the Bothy having last stayed back in 2018. We quickly remembered why we loved it so much. The most cosy retreat away from it all - hot tub perfect way to relax in the evening, returning indoors to log burner and comfy sofa. Great burgers at Royal Oak pub (around 10mins walk from Cottage). Chrissy a great host, allowing us to get into cottage earlier and leave later as no bookings either side of ours. Always on hand if you need anything but leaves you to enjoy your stay. Will definitely be returning soon 😊

House exactly as described (stating steep stairs & uneven floors-standard in older country homes) makes it unsuitable for older generation, although my kids thought the rope bannister was brilliant! It does look tired & would greatly benefit from fresh paint, new carpet and cohesive kitchen items (some crockery & pans etc felt like leftovers & had seen better days. HOWEVER, host was excellent to communicate with, kids loved the mini pool table/hockey table in summer shed next to the very large garden & having milk/tea/biscuits at the ready after traveling internationally was much appreciated. The house doesn’t have any bells & whistles but doesn’t advertise as such either, & with 4 young boys it served its purpose…a house that they could be in without worry of damage/breaking things, located in beautiful countryside, close to all the day excursions we wanted to do with our local relatives. Also, huge plus having a washing machine & dryer.

Fabulous stay. The hosts went out of their way to make our trip special - from putting chairs out in the paddock for us to the fresh eggs and visiting the animals on site. The cottage was just lovely and it made a great base for experiencing all the New Forest has to offer. we would love to return.

Very nice place to stay which is pet friendly. Great location in the old part of Shanklin. Close to pubs and restaurants and not too far from town centre or beach. Oh and a parking space which is always nice.

Highly recommend! We went in January for a winter coastal getaway and lobster cottage was so comfortable and quiet —perfect for relaxing and long coastal walks followed by supper cooked in the spacious very well-stocked kitchen. I would love to return in the warm weather!

We enjoyed a very beautiful and peaceful few nights in this wonderful location. The cottage itself was amazing both in the finishes and the historic charm. We walked around the ground and checked out all of the horses, alongside feeding the very friendly birds - my 4 year old daughter really liked it. During the evenings we had a roaring fire in the living room, and greatly enjoyed cooking with the Aga. Hilary is a great communicator and very responsive, I would absolutely recommend this place and we look forward to returning

Gorgeous tiny cottage in a very peaceful location. lots of extras very dog friendly and very well equipped. Loved the log burner and the cottage stayed very warm during our stay. Square & Compass pub very quirky and about 1.5 mile walk across the fields - Preists way. Kings Arms in Langton does great food deals too. Bus pick up at end of the lane to Swanage very convenient.

Ruth was a fantastic host, very responsive and friendly. We loved staying at her place, it’s a gorgeous little find and we’ll be back.

This is a lovely place in the middle of the Isle of Wight making it handy for whenever the day takes you. It has beautiful views over the adjacent field of wild flowers and sheep. What a beautiful sight to wake up to!

Lovely private bungalow in a quiet setting, it was perfect for our young family. The house was lovely and spacious, perfectly clean and comfortable and really well equipped. We also really appreciated the toys/high chair etc for our toddler. Ponies and donkeys within walking distance (even for the 2 year old). Thanks for the stay, we’d definitely recommend it!

Spacious, very comfortable cottage in a beautiful estate in the New Forest, with wildlife all around you. Perfect location from which to explore the area. Sandra welcomed us on arrival and provided a lot of useful information.

Lovely quiet location but conveniently close to Beaulieu, Exley Gardens and Lymington, and of course the New Forest. Comfortable property with a spacious kitchen - we really enjoyed our stay.

We had the immense pleasure of staying at this beautiful cottage last year ans were delighted to return! The cottage was exactly as we remembered; pristine, so cosy and comfortable, and ideally located right by the quay and within walking distance to shops, the habour, restaurants and train station. Lucy is the perfect host, and helped to make our stay so special with her care and attention. We highly recommend both Lucy and this cottage and cannot wait to book again!

We had a truly wonderful stay for our anniversary weekend! Lyn was incredibly polite and thoughtful, going above and beyond to make our time special. The sauna was amazing, and the fresh pastries brought to us each morning, alongside a fully stocked fridge of goodies was a delightful touch. She was also so accommodating, allowing us a late checkout, which made everything stress-free. Thank you for making our anniversary so memorable—we can’t wait to come back!
