Vacation rentals in Columbus County

We had a lovely stay at this cozy house. The kitchen was well equipped for dining in and the king size bed was SO comfy. The windows allowed us to take full advantage of the views. The water is even closer than I realized and the soft waves made the most peaceful sound! I didn’t expect all the alligators on the canal side but that was really cool, as someone who isn’t used to seeing them. This is a great place for a staycation (which we came for) but if you’re into going out and about you’d really have to travel 45min to Wilmington for activities or good restaurants. We personally found the state park trails to be underwhelming, the real beauty is in your backyard!

This is a very quiet and private space. It was perfect for my needs. I would definitely rent the space again. It is a perfect location in a quiet town with the ability to take short drives to several beaches and small towns in between. My favorite beach was Surfside beach

Kaci was so wonderful to work with! The house was amazing - clean, home away from home, plenty of linens, and very nice neighborhood!

We did our annual golf fraternity golf trip and this year several guys stayed at Sea Oats on Lockwood Folly. They all enjoyed staying at this home and I received comments like, "very comfortable," "clean, with plenty of amenities and convenient" and "a great house." Marty is a wonderful host and always responded to any question I had. The house description you see is exactly what you'll get and we plan on renting it again next year.

Lamar and Joy were fantastic and incredibly accommodating! Everything was clean and the area was great!

I had an extended stay at Pelican’s Nest while working nearby. It was the perfect home away from home! The kitchen was stocked with all the equipment I needed, the main bedroom had storage and bathroom was spacious, and laundry worked well. It was unusually chilly during my time there, otherwise I would have taken advantage of the beautiful sunroom and nearby beach access more often. Nancy was a great host and checked in to make sure everything was running smoothly. If you need a place in the area I would definitely recommend Pelican’s Nest!

Had a great stay. House was as advertised. Worked up perfectly for a group of us to have our own space.

Great place to stay

My friends and I have stayed at The Last Resort many times. As always, the house is clean, well-organized and very welcoming. Situated on the marsh, this spot is so peaceful and quiet. Great bird watching from the deck at the house or on the pier over the marsh. This place has never let us down!
