The apartment is in the middle of the beautiful old town of Scalea, but is still totally quiet. You can get to the beach quickly and there are some good places nearby. The decor is cozy and tasteful, we felt immediately comfortable! In the kitchen there is everything you need. Lorenzo is a wonderful host, he welcomed us warmly and even brought a blanket for our dog so she could sleep on the sofa, what more could you ask for;)) We hope to come back soon!

Since our arrival, we were greeted with great kindness by Judith, who made our stay even more enjoyable. The house is a real gem, full of light that fills the eyes and heart. The huge windows let in the sun, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere in every room. The furnishings and decorative objects are simply wonderful, with special details that make every corner unique and charming. Castelmezzano is a hidden gem and perfect in April before the crowds and heat come, although it would have been interesting to try the zip line which doesn’t start till May-June. It is a very hilly town with lots of steps, but incredibly beautiful and awe inspiring, and we enjoyed hikes including to Pietrapertosa. Luigi’s apartment is fantastic, comfortable, quiet and well equipped. Maria provided us clear instructions how to get there and where we could park. We are getting used to different opening hours in Italy than what we are used to in Australia, and had fantastic food. Luigi and Maria are great hosts, responsive, provided local recommendations and were very helpful. Highly recommend their home.

I stayed the first week of September and I felt very good. The terrace has a beautiful sea view where I can admire the beautiful sunsets. Davide was very kind, welcomed us in person and gave us tips on some activities to do nearby and for the main places to visit. I recommend staying in this small apartment if you want to have a relaxing vacation.

The apartment is very nice and tastefully furnished. The location is very central with views of the main square. Breakfast is also good included.

At the end of March, this is a place for people who love absolute peace and seclusion. The terrace has a beautiful view over the bay and when you fall asleep you can hear the sound of the sea. The space was small, functional and very well maintained. In terms of space as well as seating and sleeping arrangements, we imagine the apartment for longer stays for three people as too small.

beautiful place, in the middle of the Italian country side! super quiet and peaceful, and comfortable stay. if you like to cook Italian food, you will find a super market (Euro 2000) which have the most amazing selection of everything an Italian cook need. the host is wonderful, very responsive and nice! highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Pietro and Valeria’s Airbnb in Matera! The apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated, with such thoughtful attention to detail that made us feel right at home. They even left us a generous selection of treats, which was such a sweet touch! The location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of Matera, making it easy to explore this stunning city. Pietro and Valeria were kind and attentive hosts, ensuring everything was perfect for our stay. Highly recommend this gem of a place to anyone visiting Matera!
