Beachfront vacation rentals in Coffee Bay

We had the most incredibly heart-warming and soul-filling stay with Lu, Otto and CB. They are the most gracious and generous hosts with seriously big hearts. The space is a rustic hidden paradise, nestled between the trees alongside the river, with a breathtaking view over Mdumbi beach. Cannot recommend it enough, and will most definitely be back! Thank you so much for everything familia!

Where do I start?? Coffee Shack. This is where you want to be when in Coffee Bay. We booked for 2 nights but simply had to extend an extra night. Hospitality at its best: Treated like kings, warm and friendly welcome from every staff member we greeted and the receptionists were very informative, easily reachable and always willing to make your stay an exceptional experience! We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and after a long drive a complimentary ice cold welcome beer was the most unexpected and oh so welcome! The King's House was fully equipped for self catering and most comfortable even though we never had to cook as the restaurant is reasonably priced and has wonderful food and great coffee!!! ( if you are here on a Sunday night you will also get a free meal for dinner!!) With sweeping views of the ocean and the beach, we never wanted to leave and we will definitely return to this piece of paradise!

We enjoyed our stay here while working in Zithulele village. Would recommend bringing one’s own drinking water and to consider a strong vehicle if it’s been raining for the access road.

Though the road is slow going it was still fine for our tiny crap rental car. The rondavel was amazing, we loved the creative architecture, food was good, water is safe to drink, and it is really neat to see the community building this hostel is doing. We felt safe but there are random people who pester you when you are walking around outside the hostel and on the beach so I recommend locking up well!

This is an awesome place to stay. The hostel offers nice activities to do and the stuff is really friendly. There are lots of local people working there m, so it’s nice to support the community!!

Best 10 days ever! Kids loved it and we had a great adventure holiday. Will go back anytime! Corrina was great, even helped with the Putu pap and looking after baby while we were on walk or beach! Thx Patricia

Judy and her team went above and beyond. Their hospitality was exceptional. we traveled from far, they were able to do a late check-in, as well as accomodate us with a meal at a short notice upon our arrival. All staff were incredibly friendly and despite the rain the view was incredible and well worth it.

HEAVEN on Earth, literally!!! This place is amazing, overlooking the most beautiful ocean view from your room. Nothing beats waking up to ocean waves and when you pull your curtain , nothing but beautful sun kissing the ocean! Lovely views from the deck which is shared by all guests, beautiful deck to drink tea, read books, yoga!!! Host is lovely!! super yummy dinner on my arrival, exactly what I needed after a long drive from East London. Place is peaceful, and if you require to just switch off and go to basics, this is the place to for you, so close to beaches, trails and resturants, all walk-able. The hosts also put me in touch with a local tour guide (Siya), Siya was amazing and we hiked all throughout the village to the caves, hole in the wall, and numerous other trails. Defintely be back here.
